식물의 변형과 재구성에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대미술은 20세기로 접어들면서부터 조형의 순수성 확립과 창의적 표현을 강조하는 형태로 전개되고 있어 작가의 이념에 따라 다양한 표현양식이 공존하고 있다. 따라서 작가는 조형적 창조를 위해 심오한 자연의 질서 안에서 조형적 표현의 대상이 될 수 있는 요소를 추출하며 인간 생활에 접근할 수 있는 방법과 형태를 모색하고 있는 것이다. 염색공업 역시 처음에는 섬유를 장식하기 위한 방법으로 우리의 생활과 밀접한 관계였으나 점차 예술적 표현의 한 수단으로서 발전되고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구는 작품제작을 위한 소재로 식물을 설정하여 관찰을 통한 유기적 관계를 조사하여 미적 특질을 염색으로 조형화 하는 과정을 통해서 새로운 조형적 가능성을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 Ⅱ장의 이론적 배경에서는 시지각, 대상의 표현, 대상의 변형에 대하여 고찰하고 Ⅲ장에서는 이론적 배경을 토대로 하여 작품제작 및 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 1. 소재로 선정한 식물의 형태는 관찰하는 방법에 따라 매우 흥미있고 다양한 형태를 발견할 수 있었고, 그것이 지니는 구조의 미는 조형적 표현대상으로 적당하였다. 또한 조형예술의 대상이 되어온 자연에 대한 연구는 의식의 변천과 함께 다각적인 측면에서 행해지고 있으며, 작가 나름대로의 미의식에 따라 변형 표현함을 알게 되었다. 2. 표현에 있어서 형태의 본질에 더욱 가까이 가기 위해 접사의 시점을 이용한 것은 평면적인 질서를 유지하고 통일감을 주는데 효과적이며, 통일감과 변화를 주기 위해 유사 색조나 대비효과도 효과적이었다. 3. 염료와 섬유의 특성파악이나 형태의 변천과정에서의 어렴움이 다르지만 염색공예만이 지닐 수 있는 독특한 기법상의 표현 가능성을 알 수 있었다. 위와 같은 결과는 초방염만이 갖는 특성이기 때문에 끊임없는 연구 개발로 점차 향상되리라 생각한다. 이번 연구는 기술적으로나 이론적으로 미비한 점이 있지만 앞으로의 꾸준한 작품활동은 필연적으로 이를 극복하여 좋은 작품을 창작하는데 밑거름이 되리라 생각한다.;The modern plastic arts has progressed in the emphasive forms of purity of plastic and creative expression, and there are various formms in the modern plastic arts according to the artist's ideas. Thus artists draw a element which can be the object of formative expression from the order of profound nature, and they find a method which can approach to the human life for this for this creation. In the first place, the dyeing craft had a very cose relation to everyday life as the means to decorate fibers, but have gradually become a method for artistic expressions. therefore this study selected flowers and plants as the motif for the production of works. The purpose of this study is to find out the plastic possibility through dyeing process of aesthetic characteristics from the fores of plants. The theoretical background in the chapter Ⅱ based on the observation, visual perception and expression of the objects. In the chapter Ⅲ, the conclusions are derived from the work of art and analysis of it based on the theoretical background. The first, the forms of plants selected as the motif are very diverse and there evered shapes are very interesting. So their structural beauties are unlimited and suitable for the object of plastic arts. The study of nature which is the objects of the plastic arts has done in the change of sense, and explained the method of modify for expression according to the artist's aesthetic senses. The second, in order to approach to the essence of forms in expression, the point of view, "close-up" was used. It was effective in maintaining the order of plane and unity. And similar colors and contrast effect was helpful for the change of unity. The last, creation of the work made it possible to find the unique technique and possibility of expression which only dyeing design can have, even through I faced the difficulty in grasping characteristics of dyestaff and textile. I think that above problems can solve gradually by ceaseless investigation and development, because these problems are only the characters of 'dyeing method coated with wax'.
