자율성을 강조한 수교육방법의 효율성 연구

Abstract

유치원 수학교육은 1960년대 중반 이후의 Piaget의 인지발달에 관한 연구와 수학교육 개혁운동과 소련의 Sputnik 발사의 영향으로 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 그 영향으로 유치원에서는 부분적으로는 수학교육을 하고 있으나 체계적인 접근이 되지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 Piaget의 이론을 기초한 Constance Kamii의 자율성을 기초로 한 수교육 방법을 적용시켜 통제집단과 비교함으로써 유치원 수교육의 효과를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 가설을 검증하고자 한다. 가설1 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 단순분류 능력에 있어서 높은 점수를 보일 것이다. 가설2 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 복합분류 능력에 있어서 높은 점수를 보일 것이다. 가설3 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 수 보존 개념 발달정도에 있어서 높은 점수를 보일 것이다. 가설4 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 크기와 수 능력에 있어서 높은 점수를 보일 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 부산 시내 S 유치원 원아 38명 (실험 및 통제집단 각 19명씩) 이었다. 본 연구에 사용된 도구는 분류개념 검사(단순, 복합분류 과제)·수 보존검사, 크기와 수 개념 검사였다. 실험집단의 프로그램은 Kamii의 수 교육원리를 기초로 연구자가 제작하여 실시하였다. 자료 처리는 집단간의 차의 유의도를 검증하기 위하여 t-검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 단순분류 능력에 있어서 유의도 수준이 1%에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 2. 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 복합분류 능력에 있어서 유의도 수준이 1%에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 3. 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 수 보존 개념 발달정도에 있어서 유의도 수준이 5%에서 유의한 차이가 없었다. 4. 실험집단은 통제집단과 비교하여 크기와 수 개념 발달정도에 있어서 유의도 수준이 5%에서 유의한 차이가 없었다.;Mathematics education in kindergarten has brought numerous changes by cognitive development research of Piaget's since the middle part of 1960. Many kindergartens partly have mathematics education programs but they are not in systematic approach. This study aims at examination of the effect of mathematics education in kindergarten, applying the method of Kamii's mathematics education based on Piaget's theory by comparing with the controlled group. For the purpose of the present study, following research problems are included. They are 1. In the ability of simple classification, experimental group will show higher grade than controlled group. 2. In the ability of multiple classification, experimental group will show higher grade than controlled group. 3. In the extent of numeral conservation concept development, experimental group will show higher grade than controlled group. 4. In the extent of size & number concept development, experimental group will show higher grade than controlled group. The subjects were 38 children (experimental & controlled group have each 19). The tools were classification concept test (simple, multiple classification tasks), numeral conservation test and size & number concept test. For the present study, the data were processed with the t-test. The results were as following 1. In the ability, of simple classification, experimental group differed with the controlled group by and acceptable degree of 1%. 2. In the ability of multiple classification, experimental group differed with the controlled group by an acceptable degree of 1%. 3. In the extent of numeral conservation concept development, experimental group differed with the controlled group by an unacceptable degree of less than 5%. 4. In the extent of size & number concept development, experimental group differed with the controlled group by an unacceptable degree of less than 5%.
