한국인의 음악기호에 관한 연구

Abstract

18세기 産業革命으로 부강해진 西歐勢力에 의해 政治, 社會, 文化的으로 지배를 받았던 아시아, 아프리카 여러나라들과 마찬가지로 우리나라에서도 西歐文化의 영향을 많이 볼 수 있으며 특히 音樂 부분에서 두드러지는 것으로 보여진다. 우리나라에 西洋音樂이 소개된 것은 三國時代에까지 거슬러 올라가 볼 수 있겠으나 본격적으로 들어오게 된 것은 19세기 중엽부터 일것이며 그후부터 우리나라에는 西洋音樂만을 일방적으로 수용하는 풍토가 조성되었으며 우리나라 傳統音樂은 거의 잊혀져 가고 있다. 이러한 現象 社會的 무질서를 초래하는 文化의 不調和에서 일어나는 매우 심각한 문제로 보여진다. 따라서 이 論文에서는 質問紙法을 利用하여 우리나라의 音樂文化現實을 살펴보고 文獻硏究를 통해 어떠한 歷史的 背景아래 이루어졌는가를 파악해 봄으로써 音樂敎育 뿐 아니라 音樂의 모든 분야에 종사하는 音樂人들로 하여금 이러한 傳統音樂의 소외현상을 再認識하도록 하여 韓國音樂文化의 바람직한 方向을 模索하는데 도움을 주고자 한다. 本 硏究를 通해 얻은 結論을 다음과 같이 요약해 볼 수 있다. 1. 韓國人의 音樂嗜好는 西洋風의 音樂에 상당히 치우쳐 있으며 우리나라 傳統音樂은 매우 소외당하고 있다. 특히 서양팝송은 한국 靑少年의 音樂嗜好를 지배하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 매스콤은 우리 社會의 音樂文化의 形成에 큰 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 歷史的으로 살펴 볼 때 西洋音樂 一邊倒의 文化現象에는 3가지 중요한 社會的 요인이 작용했으니 첫째가 改新敎의 傳來요 둘째가 西洋式 軍事制度의 도입이요 셋째가 새로운 敎育制度의 수립이다. 4. 韓國人의 音樂一般에 대한 태도는 상당히 긍정적이다. 5. 韓國人들은 대체로 現代的 感覺에 맞는 新國樂에 맞는 創造를 통해 傳統音樂이 復興되기를 원하고 있다.;As in many Asia and Africa countries, we see strong western cultural influences in Korea. Among various cultural items, the strongest western influence appears in the realm of music. The influence of western music in Korea may be traced far back to three Kingdoms period, but it is the 19th-century when western music exerted decisive impact on Korean culture. In Korea today, western style music dominates the music taste of Korean people and traditional music is almost forgotten and alienated. This suggests very serious problem resulting from cultural discontinuity which leads to anomy situation in our society. In this study a survey research was conducted to find the status of music culture and a brief historical review was made to examine the westernization process of Korean music culture. The main findings may be summerized as follows. 1. The music taste of Korean people is far skewed toward, western style music and our traditional music is largely neglected. Particularly noteworthy is that western pop song dominates the music taste of Korean youth. 2. Mass-Communications playa great role in the formation of the music taste of Korean people. 3. Historically there were three main chenne1s through which western music introduced. The first was through the christian church, the second was through the western style military band and the third was through the formal education system. 4. It is found that Korean people in general have a strong positive attitude toward music in general. 5. They want to see their own national music be promoted through the creation of new traditional music to fit modern taste.
