레크리에이션 리이더쉽에 관한 고찰

Abstract

The significance and concern on recreation in modern society have been increasing because of its function, role and character in the society. Thus, recreation leaders should make efforts to develop better programs with abundant themes, and they must exactly grasp the special and various characters of the groups they lead and improve their leadership to lead their programs in suitable ways. This study was done, focusing my attention on the facts like "How recreation leaders understand the groups they lead, and how they use their leadership?", "How the leadership can be developed?" and "What are present problems?". Accordingly, the substantial character of recreation and leadership were studied by documents in the aspect of theoretical background. The present situation was examined through interviews with professional recreation leaders, and then the counter-measures were introduced. The result of the study can be summarized as follows: Recreation leadership can be developed in the level of special situation of the group, its object, communition, solidarity and morale, And it was surveyed that leadership must be developed with "character building", "mastery of professional skills", "wide experience and knowledge", "contribution and service" and "creativeness". Most of all, it came to know that recreation leaders must have good character and creativeness before understanding the groups they lead, and that they must be generous to be able to cope with any kind of group. In addition, it was understood that recreation should enlarge its boundary into cultural, social and educational fields. Considering the role of recreation leaders and its importance, the system and curriculum for fostering, training and education of recreation leaders must be provided in state level.;현대사회에 있어서 레크리에이션의 중요성과 그에 대한 관심은 그것이 지닌 기능 및 역할 그리고 사회적 성격으로 인하여 점차적으로 확대되어 가고 있다. 이에 레크리에이션 지도자는 그들에게 주어진 임무를 다하기 위하여 풍부한 소재로 보다 나은 프로그램을 개발하는데 노력을 경주해야 하며 지도대상이 되는 집단의 다양하고 특수한 성격을 정확하게 파악하고 적절한 방향으로 프로그램을 이끌어 나가는 리이더쉽의 개발에 힘써야 한다는 것은 주지의 사실이다. 본 연구는 이러한 전제 아래 레크리에이션 지도자가 어떻게 집단을 이해하며 이에 따라 어떻게 리이더쉽을 행사하는가, 또 이러한 리이더쉽은 어떻게 개발될 수 있으며 현재 어떠한 문제가 있는가 하는 의문점을 지니고 진행되었다. 따라서 레크리에이션의 본질적 성격과 리이더쉽의 측면에서 특수한 성격을 지닌 레크리에이션 리이더의 자질과 그 리이더쉽에 대한 문헌 고찰을 이론적 배경으로 레크리에이션 현장의 전무지도자와의 면담을 통하여 그 지도 현장의 실태를 파악하고 그 문제점에 대한 대안을 마련해 보았다. 연구결과를 간단히 요약해 보면 레크리에이션 리이더쉽은 그 대상 집단의 특수한 상황 즉, 집단의 목표, 커뮤니케이션, 응집력, 사기 등의 차원에서 다양하게 발전될 수 있으며 인격도야, 전문기술의 숙달, 폭넓은 경험과 지식, 공헌과 봉사, 창의력 등을 기본바탕으로 하여 발전되어야 한다는 점이 관찰되었다. 특히 레크리에이션 및 레크리에이션 리이더쉽의 이해, 지도상의 문제점, 집단성격 및 상황의 이해, 레크리에이션 리이더는 풍부한 인격 및 창의력을 갖추어야 하고 집단의 특수한 상황을 바로 이해하고 이에 동화되어야 하며 보다 건전한 정신자세를 확립하여야 한다고 나타났으며 레크리에이션은 그 영역을 문화, 사회 교육 등으로 넓혀가야 한다는 점이 고찰되었다. 또한 레크리에이션 리이더의 역할 및 중요성에 비추어 리이더의 양성과 훈련 및 교육은 제도 및 내용이 국가적 차원에서 시급히 마련되어져야겠다.
