Abstract
Present-day life is said to be plenty of leisure times, and it is already a well-known fact that the purpose of the reform in education is to implement the education for the whole man with the change of times by the progress of civilization. From this point of view, the increased need for the recreational education and guidance for the students makes the conscious role of teachers in this education a current educational purpose. Therefore, the purpose of this basic study on recreational education for the students is to obtain a instructional data for guidance on the basis of the answers of teachers. As a primary step of this study, I collected the answer data of 500 high school teachers (250 men and 250 women) by way of a questionnaire about their opinions on the recognition, value, knowledge, guidance, encouragement, problem of the recreational education for the students, and the results are as follows: 1. The concern for the recreational education is very high, but the inspiration of the consciousness of the education is somewhat insufficient. 2. Because the recreational education at school is restricted to extra-curricular activities and is monotonous, there is a problem in original purpose of recreational education. 3. Except teachers' place of duty they will hardly show the concern for guidance, encouragement and enthusiasm towards students in the recreational education and at the same time taskmistresses tend to show a little more concern and more enthusiasm towards students than taskmasters. 4. The opinions of the teachers show that the concern of the students for this education is satisfactory and the teachers' lack of concern for this education comes from the excessive amount of classes and chores. 5. It necessiates the urgent reservation of enough leisure time, good environment and facilities, and recreational leaders for better recreational education. 6. Re-training of the knowledges and the technics about recreational education for teachers were required. 7. Recreational education for students by all teachers are required and the view of value in recreational education is to be built up. 8. Many teachers showed affirmative answers to the question whether recreational education for students would result in good personality formation based on wholemanship education emotional development and pleasant school day life. 9. Recreational education for students is required by the times. The consciousness of teachers and the thoughtful consideration of the school authorities are considered to be the very policy for activating this education.;오늘날의 生活을 餘暇의 供水時代라고 하며 敎育의 革新도 文明의 發達에 의한 時代的 변천에 따라 全人敎育을 目標로 하고 있음은 이미 알려져 있는 事實이다. 이러한 時点에서 볼 때 學生의 餘暇敎育(餘暇를 잘 善用하게 하는 敎育)은 어느때 보다 必要하게 되었고 指導의 課題를 부여받고 있음을 直視할 때 學生의 餘暇敎育에 關한 敎師의 意識과 役割은 現代敎育의 目標가 아닐 수 없다. 本 硏究는 學生의 餘暇敎育에 關하여 敎師들의 認識과 知識을 토대로 指導의 지침적 자료를 얻는데 目的을 두었으며 서울市內 人文系 男女高校 敎師 500名(男 250名, 女 250名)을 대상으로 餘暇敎育의 理解度 價値觀, 指導觀, 課題등으로 區分하여 설문지를 통해 敎師의 반응을 얻었다. 1. 餘暇敎育에 대한 관심은 지대하나 餘暇敎育에 대한 意識이 다소 희박함을 나타냈다. 2. 學校餘暇敎育의 대부분이 特別活動時間에 이루어지고 있기 때문에 개인에게는 다양한 프로그램을 갖지 못하므로 광범위한 餘暇敎育을 실시하기에는 문제점이 있었다. 3. 敎師의 부서담당 외에는 指導나 勸奬등 관심이 희박한 것으로 나타나고 있으며 男女보다 女子가 다소 관심이 높은 경향을 보이고 있다. 4. 餘暇敎育에 대한 學生들의 반응은 양호하다고 볼 수 있으며 敎師의 餘暇敎育에 대한 관심부족은 수업 및 잡무과다에서 오는 것으로 생각된다. 5. 學生餘暇敎育에 있어서는 시간, 환경, 지도자 문제가 있음을 나타냈다. 6. 敎師들의 餘暇敎育에 관한 知識이나 指導에 있어 再敎育이 절실히 요구된다. 7. 全敎師들의 餘暇敎育에 대한 적극적인 指導가 아쉽고 餘暇敎育의 價値觀이 확립 되었으면 한다. 8. 餘暇敎育에 관하여 敎師는 全人敎育을 토대로 하여 인격형성, 정서함양, 즐거운 學校生活이 된다는 반응이 높은 비율로 나타났다. 9. 學生餘暇敎育은 時代的 요청이다. 이를 위한 敎師의 意識과 學校 당국의 깊은 배려가 곧 餘暇敎育의 活性化 方案이라 생각된다.
