敎育映畵와 ITV 프로그램에 의한 외국어 학습의 效果에 關한 硏究

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of instructional films and instructional television presentational techniques as compared to conventional classroom porcedures in teaching foreing language, especially in English. The hypotheses are: First, on forein Language teaching, television presentational techniques utilizing the unique ability of the medium to provide-through superimposition-simultaneous dual and/or sequentially multiple visual stimuli may be fully as effective as-and probably more so than-conventional classroom procedures. Second, on the other subjects, teaching television presentational techniques may be fully as effective as-and probably more so than-conventional classroom procedures. Third, the students who receive teacher-directed follow-up after ITV programme may be superior to the students who receive no follow-up. Fourth, the students may favor ITV presentation class. This study has relied on the already reported researches and experiment. I studied the rationale of the instructional films and television, stimulating motivation through films and television, using films in TESL, and the effect of ITV programme in other subjects. And then I tried to prove the hypotheses and concluded this study.;최근 교육 영화나 ITV 프로그램을 교육 현장에 도입하여 효과적인 외국어 학습을 하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 외국어 교육에 있어서 교육 영화와 ITV 프로그램에 의한 학습 효과와 전통적인 교실 수업에 의한 학습 효과를 비교 연구하는데 있다. 본 연구의 가설은, 1. 외국어 학습에 있어서 ITV 프로그램을 통하여 배운 학습자가 전통적인 교실 수업으로 배운 학습자보다 성취도가 높을 것이다. 2. 외국어 이외의 타교과 학습에 있어서도 ITV 프로그램을 통하여 배운 학습자가 전통적인 교실 수업으로 배운 학습자보다 성취도가 높을 것이다. 3. 외국어 학습에 있어서 ITV 프로그램 제시 후 사후 지도를 받은 학습자가 사후 지도를 받지 않은 학습자보다 학업 성취도가 높을 것이다. 4. 외국어 학습에 있어서 ITV 프로그램에 대한 학습자들의 태도는 호의적일 것이다. 이론적인 배경으로는 교육 영화의 개념과 학습 효과, ITV 프로그램의 학습 효과, 그리고 ITV 프로그램에 대한 태도도 나누어 연구했다. 본론에서는 교육 영화 및 ITV 프로그램에 의한 동기 유발이 학습에 미치는 영향, ITV 프로그램에 의한 외국어 학습의 효과, 교육 영화를 통한 영어 학습의 효과 및 지도 방법, ITV학습 후의 사후 지도의 필요성 및 재상영에 의한 학습효과, ITV 프로그램에 의한 타교과의 학습 효과에 대해 연구하고 결론을 내렸다.
