28 GeV p-N 반응에서의 2개입자의 迅速度 相關關係에 關한 硏究

Abstract

In recent years, considerable progress has been made in understanding multiparticle production through study of two-particle rapidity correlation. Here, results from a study of p p-N interactions in emulsion at an energy of 28GeV are presented. The analysis of the data with the two-particle rapidity correlation function C(Y₁, Y₂), R( Y₁, Y₂ ) show clear evidence of short-range correlations in the central region. Rapidity correlations in the central region among hadrons produced in p-N interaction of fixed final state multiplicity n are investigated in a two-step frame-work in which clusters of hadrons are produced essentially independently, via a multiperipheral cluster model, and decay isotropically. For〈n><~n<~2 <n〉, those semi-inclusive distributions are controlled by the reaction mechanism which dominates production in the central region. Correlation strength-dependence, cluster size-dependence of the multiplicity are also investigated. All these dependences are found to exist in this paper.;강입자들(hadrons) 사이의 반응에서 나타나는 2개입자의 신속도 상관관계에 대한 군집형성의 해석은 다입자의 생성을 이해하는 데상당한 도움을 주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 28 GeV의 양성자와 원자핵건판의 핵과의 반응중 Nh≤ 1인 반응에서 방출된 shower- 입자들의 다중도 및 방출각을 측정하고 그들의 분포를 구하여 양성자-핵자반응에서의 shower-입자들의 신속도 상관관계에 대하여 다음과 같이 연구하였다. 2개입자의 포괄적인 상관관계에 의하여 신속도-공간의 중심영역에서 강한 단거리 상관관계가 존재함이 확인되었다. 이러한 단거리상관관계의 기구를 알아 보기 위하여 다중주변적 군집모델을 전제로하는 Berger-형의 상관관계-함수에 의하여 각각의 정해진 다중도에서 상관관계를 계산하였다. 이 군집모델은 중성군집의 생성과 붕괴를 가정하고 있다. Berger-형의 상관관계에 의한 계산으로 상관관계의 길이 및 상관관계의 세기를 구하고 이에 의하여 다중도와 상관관계의 세기, 다중도와 군집크기와의 관계등이 밝혀졌다. 즉 다중도의 증가에 따라 상관관계의 세기는 증가하며 또한 다중도와 군집크기도 서로 비례함이 밝혀졌다.
