도자예술을 통한 감성적 표현 연구

Abstract

예술의 주관적 표현이 강조되고, 예술의 본질을 규명하고자 하는 다양한 관점에서의 실험적 표현을 시도해 오면서 예술가들은 갖가지 이념의 독자적 표현 수단을 확립해 왔다. 그러나 관점의 다양화 현상은 종국에는 가치기준의 상실을 초래했고, 오늘에 이르러 현대미술은 시대를 이끌어 갈만한 표현이념을 제시하지 못한채 침체되어 있다. 예술은 시대의 심층에 흐르는 정신을 반영한다는 신념하에 이와 같은 현대 미술의 현황에서 갖게된 문제의식은 개인중심주의, 이기심, 물신화 현상등의 극도로 혼탁한 현상을 치닫고 있는 현대인의 정신적 상황에 주목하게 되었다. 예술은 그 시대상황속에 현존하는 예술가의 체험을 통한 삶의 통찰이며 사유의 투사이다. 또한 예술속에 투영되는 인간의 삶은 인간의 본질이 외화되는 활동이기에 혼돈된 현대인의 정신적 상황은 본인으로 하여금 인간의 본질, 삶, 예술의 연관성을 총체적으로 인식하도록 유도했다. 인간은 '정신과 물질의 대립적 양차원으로 구성되어 있는 존재'라는 보편적 사실에서 출발된 본인의 의식은 인간이 행하는 모든 활동은 인간을 구성하고 있는 정신과 물질, 이성과 감성 등의 대립적 양차원의 구성요소가 동시적으로 관여하며, 인간활동에 의해 이루어지는 결과 역시 대립적 양차원의 구성요소로 이루어진다는 점에 귀결되었다. 일련의 사고과정에서 본인은 근대 사변철학에서 정신과 물질을 분리시키고 이성과 감성을 분리시켜, 인간의 본질을 사유와 이성으로 설명함으로서 감성의 능력을 경시하고 외면한 사실에 주목하여 감성의 능력에 대한 의문이 제기되었다. 이와같은 의문에 해답을 얻고자, 인간의 본질적 문제에 관한 연구가 필요했고, 이것은 본인에게 예술작업이전에 풀어야 할 과제였다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 인간의 본질적 문제를 탐구함으로서, 현실 극복을 위한 인간적 삶의 진실을 파악하고, 파악된 감성개념을 근거로 예술의 감성적 표현 가능성을 타진하여 창작 관념을 공고히 하고자함이다. 본인은 본 연구의 이론적 근거를 위하여 19C 독일의 철학자 포이에르바하(Ludug Andreas Feurbach 1804-1872)의 철학에서 인간관과 자연관을 고찰하였다. 포이에르바하는 그의 철학을 '새로운 철학'이라고 부르면서 근대철학에서 간과되어온 감성의 지위를 회복시켜 인간의 본질을 규정하고, 인간과 인간, 인간과 자연과의 통일적 관계를 정립함으로서, 자연과 통일된 인간의 공동체 사회를 실현하여, 본래의 인간적인 모습과 삶을 회복하고자 하였다. 포이에르바하 이론을 근거로 한 인식의 구체화 작업으로서, 도자 예술을 통하여 삶의 현실에서 표출되는 인간 본래의 모습을 감성적 안목으로 형상화하였다. 작품제작에 있어서는 인체의 형상을 통해 표현함으로서 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 작품의 특성에 적합한 성형기법을 선택 적용하였고, 성형기법에 부합되는 태토를 사용하였다. 유약의 채색은 주로 금속화합물을 첨가하였고, 유약에 따라 소성 분위기를 달리 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여, 본인은 인간이란 자연의 법칙인 대립적 양차원의 상호작용과 통일의 원리이며 인간의 본질을 형성하는 감성은 대립적 관계 사이의 갈등과 모순을 통일하여 진리를 도출하는 능력임을 알게 되었다. 따라서 인간은 감성능력을 실천하여 삶의 현실을 극복하며 살아가는 것이 진정한 인간적 삶이며 인간 본래의 모습임을 인식하였다. 그러므로 삶속에서 생성되는 예술은 인간의 숙명을 통해 접근되는 삶의 진실이며, 감성적 표현이란 감성적 실천을 통하여, 합리성으로 접근될 수 없는 비합리적 존재의 영역을 드러내는 것임을 파악할 수 있었다. 이상과 같은 연구를 진행하는 동안 어떠한 인간의 교만도, 허위도 용납치 않음에도, 인간의 어리석음을 관용으로 감싸주는 도자예술이야말로 본인에게 가장 인간적 진실에 근접한 예술형식으로 부각되었다. 본 연구는 현대의 '인간의 자기소외현상'을 직면하고 있는 한사람으로서 진실된 삶의 방향설정을 위한 제시이며, 삶의 여정을 함께 하는 동시대인의 공감을 얻으려는데 그 의의를 두었고, 이 연구를 시작으로 인간의 본질적인 문제에 관한 좀 더 깊이 있는 연구를 지속하고자 한다.;While the artists have tried the experimental expression from the diverse viewpoint to emphasize the subjective expression of art and to try to examine the essence of art closely, they have established the independent expression means of all sorts of idea. But, the diversification Phenomenon of viewpoint brought about the loss of value standard finally. And, arriving at today, contemporary fine art is stagnating, in the state that it failed to present the expression idea which is worthy of leading the period. Under the faith that art reflects the spirit to flow in the depth of period, the critical mind to get to have in the present situation of contemporary like this came to notice the mental situation of moderns who rush into the extremely corrupt phenomenon such as individualism egoism and phenomenon of fetish tendency etc. Art is the insight of life and the projection of speculation through the experience of artist to exist in the period situation. In addition, as the human life to be projected in art is the activity that the human essence is expressed to outside, the confused mental situation of moderns led me to recognize the relevancy of human beings and life and art generally. My cognition formed a conclusion that all the activity elements of oppositional both dimensions, as the result that they are formed by the simultaneous participation of the composition elements of oppositional both dimensions such as spirit and material ＆ reason and sensitivity etc. which are composing human beings, starting from the universal fact that the human beings are the existences being composed of the oppositional both dimensions of spirit and material. In a series of thought process, I noticed the fact to despise and turn away the ability of sensitivity by explaining the human essence with speculation and reason through the separation of spirit and material ＆ reason and sensitivity in speculative philosophy. So, the question about the ability of sensitivity was raised. So as to obtain the solution about the question like this, the study on the essential issue of human beings was necessary. And, this was the subject to have to solve before art work. Thus, the goal of this study is to try to strengthen the creation idea, by grasping the truth of human life for actuality conquest and sounding the sensitive expression possibility for art on the basis of the grasped sensitivity concept, through the search of human essential issue. I studied the human view and nature view in the philosophy of the German philospher of the 19th century, Ludig andreas Feurbach (1804-1872), for the theoretical basis of this study. Feurbach tried to restore the original human form and life, by stipulating the human essence through the restoration of position of sensitivity which has been overlooked in modern philosophy, establishing the unific relation between human being and human being ＆ human being and nature, and realizing the human community society unified with nature referring to his philosophy as new philosophy. I made the human original form to be expressed in the actuality of life through the ceramic art into form as the embodiment work of recognition based on the theory of Feurbach with the sensitive appreciative eye. In the work manufacture, I tried to help understanding by expressing through human body form. I selected and applied the plastic technique which is suitable for the feature of work and used the embryo soil to meet the plastic technique, For the coloring of glaze, I added the metal combination mainly, and in accordance with glaze, I made the plasticity atmosphere different. Through this study, I recognized that human being is the principle of interaction and unification of oppositional both dimensions which is the nature law, and that the sensitivity to form human essence is the ability to deduce the truth by unifying the conflict and discrepancy between oppositional relation. Thus, I recognized that leading a life, conquering the actuality of life by practicing the sensitivity ability is the genuine human life and human original form. Therefore, I could grasp that the art to be formed in life is the truth of life to be approached through human fate, and that the emotional expression is to reveal the range of irrational existence which cannot be approached with rationality through the emotional practice. While I have progressed the study like above, indeed, the ceramic art to protect the human foolishness with tolerance was enbossed for me as the art form to approach most human truth, though it doesn't permit human arrogance and falsehood. In this study, this researcher laid the meaning in trying to arouse the sympathy of contemporary to be with the itinerary of life as the suggestion for the direction establishment of truthful life as one people who is being confronted with the self-alienation phenomenon of modern human being. And, with this study as a start, I try to continue more profound study about the human essential issue.
