다기(茶器)세트 디자인 연구

Abstract

인간(人間)은 사고(思考)하고 정서적(情緖的)으로 반응(反應)하며 지상(地上)에 존재(存在)하지 않았던 창조물(創造物)을 상상(想像)한다. 그리고 상상된 창조물로 하여금 가시적(可視的)이며 만질수 있는 형태(形態)를 부여한다. 그 중에서 보다 중요한 조형 활동(造形 活動)은 아름다움과 쓰임새를 동시에 추구하는것이다. 아름다움과 쓰임새는 장식(裝飾)과 기능(機能)이라는 용어(用語)로 대체할수 있는데, 장식과 기능의 두 요소는 대립적(對立的)이며 이층적(異層的) 개념을 가지고 있다. 이는 역사적으로 볼때 장식과도(裝飾過度)의 혼란을 일으킬 정도의 디자인이 성했던 시기와 장식이 완전히 배제된 기능적인 측면이 강조 되었던 시대가 각기 존재 했다는 데서 알수있다. 본연구는 아름다움과 쓰임새를 동시에 추구하기 위하여 꽃의 형태를 모티브로 디자인하고 쓰임새가 있는 다기(茶器)세트를 제작하였다. 작품제작에 있어 본 연구는 자연, 특히 "꽃"에서 받은 감동을 보이는 그대로 충실히 재현하려는 자연주의적인 예술 태도를 기본으로 하고 있다. 이론적 배경으로 장식적이면서 기능을 가지고 있는 자연주의 도자기로 1851년 수정궁 전시회로 알려져 있는 영국 박람회에서 소개되고, 1876년 미국의 필라델피아에 이르러 절정에 달했던 19세기의 마졸리카(MAJOLICA)와 18세기 유럽의 자연주의도자기들을 찾아 연구하였다. 본 연구에서 다기(茶器)세트는 커피를 포함하여 여러종류의 차를 마실수 있는 용도로 이러한 다기(茶器)세트 작품은 칼라, 나팔꽃, 서양난초, 야생화, 리샨샤스, 수선화, 선인장등 구체적인 꽃의 형태를 모티브로 디자인 되고 제작 되었다. 또한 꽃 형태의 조형 연구를 통하여 감각적인 아름다움을 느끼는 것과 동시에 꽃의 생태적 분석을 통해 꽃에 대한 이해를 도모하고자 하였다. 동시에 현대 도자와 산업도자기에 나타난 꽃형태의 조형성을 살펴 보았다. 작품 제작은 석고틀에 의한 이장 주입성형(slip casting)방법을 택하였고, 접시의 경우는 압축식 이장주입성형방법(solid casting)방법을 사용 하였다. 소지는 밀양백토를 사용 하였고, 1차소성 후 백자투명유를 시유, 2차 환원소성하여 식기로서 청결감을 주는 백색도를 높이려 하였다. 전사지와 상회안료, 금분을 사용하여 3차소성에서 꽃 이미지의 장식을 시도 하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 "꽃"이라는 자연주의적인 주제가 갖는 아름다움과 우아함 그리고 풍요롭고 장식적인 요소를 다기(茶器)세트라는 실용적인 도자기로 조형화하여 후식용기로서의 도자기 다양성에 기여 하는데 있다.;Human being think, respond to emotionally and imagine creation which nonexistent of the earth. Also human being make the imaginary creation endow visible and touchable forms. Of the more important formatives activities are the pursuit of beauty and usefulness at the same time. The beaty and usefulness alternate with 'decoration' and 'function'. These two factor of 'decoration' and 'function' imply a notion of opposition and incoherent. It is supposed that is caused by existense of two period in history which is period of prevalence of overdecorated design and period of emphasis function as exclusion of decoration. So the important subject in this research is Decoration and function is indeed opposition factor? This research attempt to reaching the appropriate concurrence without cancelling each other the decoration and function. The method for solution the resercher intended to present tea-set design that harmonized decoration and function through the 'MAJOLICA' naturalism pottery of western, the kettle of 'YIXING' from china who effect to naturalism pottery of western and Korean nierogryphic pottery. The functional face of production in this research, the research choice the tea-set for drinking various kind of tea include coffee as method of pursuit usefulness. The researcher intended to express all of floral factor, for example, natual form, color and texture, etc. And make possible that is not only attemption of pure art, but also functional things which form organic connection with sensory organ of human beings.
