윤동주 詩의 視覺化 연구

Abstract

일제 말기 우리 민족의 혼을 지킨 윤동주 시인은 어두운 시대에도 굴하지 않고 맑고 투명한 영혼으로 순수한 시심을 읊음으로서 한국의 현대시의 맥을 면면히 이어온 저항적 서정시인이다. 이러한 윤동주의 시를 새롭게 이해하고 조명해 보기 위해서는 그의 생의 전반과 시역사를 둘러보는 것이 선결 과제이며 아울러 그의 시에 나타난 전체적인 이미지도 개괄하고, 그리하여 그의 생애가 보여주고 있는 전기적 요소와 시적 사유의 결합이 어떻게 내적 성찰을 통해 개인적 지향성으로 작품화되었는가를 알아보았다. 윤동주 시가 지닌 시어의 의미는 매우 다의적으로 시의 언어는 일상언어와 구별되는 특수성을 가지고 있는데 이 특수성은 시각언어에 있어서는 더욱 그러하다. 이러한 시어를 시각화하기 위하여 윤동주의 시중에서도 비교적 다양한 이미지를 보여주고 있고 문학적 가치도 높은 7개의 시를 선정, 그 문학적 해석과 접근을 시도하였고 더불어 시어를 시각이미지로 형상화하는데 따른 표현의 이론적 배경도 알아보았다. 즉 시어와 시각언어가 미적·지각적 차원에서 궁극적으로 시와 그림으로 만나지며 또 한편으로는 인간내면에 내재한 이미지의 연상과 상상의 힘으로 시각언어가 의미전달의 매체로서 한층 유익한 점을 본 것이다. 덧붙여 작품제작에 사용되는 파스텔의 역사와 특징, 파스텔화를 즐겨 그렸던 대표적 화가들에 대해서도 알아보았다. 작품제작과 분석에 있어서는 시어를 시각언어로 표현하는데 따른 제문제들을 열거하고 주관적·감성적 이미지를 제시했다. 결론적으로 상징적 저항성을 띤 서정시인 윤동주의 시를 현대적 관점에서 재조명하고 문학적 시어로서의 의미위에 본질적 영혼의 언어인 시각언어로 화하는 일련의 과정에서 그의 시를 이해하고 감상하는데 가일층 도움이 되고자 하였다.;Yeon Dong-Joo, a resistant lyricist, kept his poetic sentiment visualizing pure and transparent soul in spite of the distressing of Japanese rulling period and has succeeded to the core of Korean moderm poems. To understand his poems and research another point of view about it, I first analyzed his whole life and various meaning of his poetic image. Also I tried to find how personal intention by inner self-examination and combination of poetic speculation had altered to writing poems. I chose 7 poems which have high literary value and contain various meanings. The poetic language has the speciality that is differing from ordinary language, and it is more special in visual lauguage. I looked at the theoritical background of visualizing poetic language. The finding of this shows that poetic language and visual language coincide with poems and paintings in aesthetic and perceptive level. Besides visual language is very useful as medium of communication by means of association and imagination. Moreover, I researched special feature and history of pastel and famous painters's works which are painted with pastel. On the other hand, I marshaled problems according to expressing poetic language as visual language and proposed subjective and sensitive image. The purpose of this study conclusively is to aid understanding Yeon Dong-Joo's poems in visualizing process from poetic language to visual language.
