Teaching machines and programmed learning에 대한 문헌 연구

Abstract

In the education of nowadays, various teaching techniques are being applied to dissolve the individual differences among the students, Among such methods, the programmed learning is considiered to be the most effective one to comply with it's purpose. It can't be too much to say that the type of learning of our country is mostly based on the traditional methods, under such circumstance and reality, some revolutionally and realistic methods of individual learning is urgently needed though they are not too much familiar with us but a great deal of interest have been paid in the United States and rapidly brought up. According to this new system, those students are not required to stick to the programs slated by the school but they are to follow the program especially established for their own progress, such efficient view point, a good many colleges and schools are applying this method and it has been found to be most efficient and effective rather than the instructors in certain subjects. It could be said that such result has indicated the space of study for better progression of the renovated method of study. ***************** 1. Establishment of the theory of learning of the T.M. & P.L. for practical study of the T.M. & P.L. 2. Study of literature for establishment of program based on the practical study of T.M. & P.L. Since the basic theory of the new method has been studied by the scholars of the United States, it would be necessary for us to make objective study of this. But the following scope of study and methods are presented : 1. Study theory will be made following the background of the theory. 2. Basing on the theory, study the course of progression and mutural theoretic relation. 3. Basing on the theory, study the principles of programming. The background of theory has been introduced at the charter Ⅰ. Ⅱ. Ⅲ. and practical matters have been handled at the charter Ⅳ Ⅴ Ⅵ. To summarize the conception : (1) Study will be carried out in accordance with the individual pace. (2) Process to attain to the goal will be constituted by small step so that eve individual student may be able to attain. (3) This is a method of study the student can easily judge whether it is right or wrong about his beheaviour. From the point of view of the above conclusion, they are the results of the study based on thv program. This study has been limited due to the obstacles of the machines and instruments such as lack of them. At the imitial stage tried to apply computer as most of theories are to be carried out by computer.;오늘날 학교교육에서는 학습자들의 개인차를 해소하는 방안으로서 여러가지를 시도하고 있으나 여기에 교육 공학적인 접근의 하나로, 또한 개별학습의 발전을 기할 수 있는 교육방법이라는 점에서 프로그램 학습의 등장은 실로 절대적인 것으로 본다. 전통적인 학습형태를 주류로 하고있는 현실에서는 혁신적이고 실제적인 개별학습의 방법연구가 시급하며 우리 나라 교육에서는 아직도 생소 한것 같지만 본상지인 미국에서는 교육의 혁신에서 프로그램 학습만큼 커다란 관심을 일으키고 급속한 성장을 한 것은 드물었다. 개인이 학교에서 시간표와는 관계없이 자기자신의 진도에 따라서 능률적으로 학습을 진행해 나갈 수 있도록 해주고 있기 때문에 오늘날에는 많은 학교나 대학이 프로그램 학습을 채택하여 여러가지로 사용하고 있다. 어떤 과목의 학습에서는 프로그램용 교과서와 티칭머신이 교사 보다도 능율이 오르고 오랫동안의 효과가 지속된다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 따라서 교육기술 개발과 개인학습의 가능성을 제시해 주고 있는 Teaching Machine & Programmed Learning에 대한 문헌연구를 하므로서 그 이용에 대한 보다 나은 실천과 연구가 가능해 질 것이다. 연구목적을 요약하면 1. T.M & P.L의 실천연구를 뒷바침해 줄 수 있는 T.M & P.L의 학습이론의 정리 2. T.M & P.L의 실천연구 결과를 중심으로한 프로그램의 작성원리를 위한 문헌연구 프로그램 학습의 이론적 배경에 대한 연구는 그동안 미국의 여러 학자들에 의해서 이루어졌으며 우리 나라에서는 이것을 중심으로 그 일부의 이론을 개괄적으로 살펴 본 것으로 본다. 그러나 여기서는 다음과 같은 범위와 방법으로 연구하고저 한다. 1. 프로그램 학습의 이론적 배경의 주축을 이루고 있는 학습이론의 문헌중심으로 연구 2. 이론의 발전과정에서 상호관련되는 이론적 상관성을 문헌중심으로 연구 3. 프로그램 작성의 원리를 실천연구 결과에서 얻은 이론을 중심으로 문헌연구 본문에서는 그 이론적 배경을 Ⅰ. Ⅱ. Ⅲ장에서 정리하였고 Ⅳ. Ⅴ. Ⅵ장에서 구체적인 것을 다루었다. 일반적인 개념에서 요약을 하면, (1) 개개인의 어린이의 페이스 (pace)로 학습이 진행 된다는 것. (2) 목표에 도달하는 프로세스 (process)를 어느 어린이나 통과할 수 있게끔 스모올 스텝 (Small Step)으로 구성한다는 것. (3) 어린이가 자기의 행동의 결과가 바른가, 바르지 않은가를 즉석에서 판정할 수 있는 학습방법이라는 것. 이상의 결론을 봐서 실제적인 학습이론의 적용은 바로 프로그램 학습에 의해서 실현되었다고 볼 수 있다. 이론적 배경을 중심으로 한 실제면에서는 콤퓨터가 프로그램을 위한 기초를 이루고 있어 콤퓨터의 Software연구도 함께 하고 가능한한 소규모의 실험연구도 병행하였으면 했으나 기구적인 장애로 문헌연구의 영역에서 벗어날 수 없었다는 점이 연구의 제한점으로 본다.
