都市이미지의 再構成

Abstract

The moden fine arts rejects fixed idea of past which represents an object and attatchs much importance to the originality of an artist and tendency expressed by artist's subjectivity is remarkable. In case of dyeing art, this trend of fine arts is not exceptional and the concept and method of it are being expanded. Accordingly the dyeing art of today is extending its possibility through not only activation of the material and multipolarization of the method and mode, but also broadening of its domain. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the possibility that express the image of city space by overlapping simple colour lines and spaces, through dyeing works. As the theoretical background of the study, I have researched and investigated the expression and transformation of an object, and based on this theoretical background, I have produced a work and analyzed it. And the consequences can be summarized as follows ; First, it is revealed that artists' peculiar transformation of an object is a new recreation of it and in the course of transformation the subjective and formative languages of and object are extracted and this is an important element to heighten the strength of the image. Second, overlapping expression is a fit element which express a transparent space of city building. Third, the crayon dyeing is an appropriate method to reconstrut the city building in my sight. But what was inconvenient in the process of producing a work was that as a material the city building was somewhat simple one and in constructing the picture the patterns became more or less dull in order to organize the surface. At the time, there are some works which give thick colour sensation because I have not used the Crayon dye properly and brushed repeatedly. At this point, I think that I should make incessant effort to accomplished certain creative expression by inverstigation and developing dyeing materials and methods, not to speak of my establishment of formative consciouseness.;현대미술은 대상을 재현하는 과거미술의 고정 관념을 거부하고, 예술가의 독창성을 중시하며, 작가의 주관에 의해 표현하는 추세가 두드러지고 있다. 이러한 사조는 염색공예에서도 예외는 아니어서 고의 개념이나 연구 방법이 확대되고 있다. 따라서 재료의 활성화, 방법과 양식의 다원화는 물론, 그 영역 또한 확산되어 가능성을 넓혀가고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구자는 염색작품으로 도시공간의 이미지를 단순화된 색선과 색면의 중첩에 의한 투명한 공간적 표현 가능성을 모색하는데 연구의 목적을 둔다. 이와 같은 목적을 위한 이론적 배경으로는 대상의 표현, 대상의 변형에 대하여 연구, 고찰하고 이러한 이론을 바탕으로 작품을 제작, 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 작가들의 개성적 변형을 대상의 새로운 재창조이고 그 과정에서 주관적, 조형적 언어를 추출하며, 대상에서의 이미지의 강도를 높이는데 중요한 요소가 됨을 알았다. 둘째, 단순화된 색선과 색면의 중첩을 통한 표현방식은 도시건물의 투명한 느낌의 공간성을 표현하는데 적절한 요소가 되었다. 셋째, 크레용염법은 도시건물이라는 소재를 연구자의 시각으로 재구성하는데 있어 적절한 기법이었다. 그러나 제작 과정에서 아쉬운 점은 도시 건물이라는 소재의 단일성을 들 수 있으며 화면을 구성하는 과정에서 화면의 질서를 위해 다소 단조로운 구성으로 흐르게 된 점이다. 또한, 크레용(Crayon)염을 적절히 사용하지 못하고 덧칠을 반복하여 색상이 탁해진 느낌을 주는 작품이 몇 있었다. 이러한 점에서 연구자의 조형의식을 확고히 함은 물론이고 계속적인 염색재료와 기법을 연구, 개발하며 보다 창의적인 표현을 위해 끊임없는 노력이 있어야 겠다고 생각한다.
