朝鮮家具의 金屬裝飾을 應用한 服飾디자인 硏究

Abstract

現代服飾은 세계적으로 상품이라는 상업적 성격을 갖는 藝術로서 일정 스타일·재료·기법·표현방법 등에서 새로운 표현가능성을 찾아 토탈 패션( total-fashion )으로의 무한한 모색이 이루어지고 있다. 이제 우리 패션은 毆美 모드( mode )의 모방만으로는 대중시장의 대다수 소비자의 희소성 요구를 만족시킬 수 없을 뿐만 아니라, 유럽·미국 등에 비추어 우리 고유의 傳統性을 세계인에게 인식시키는 것도 무리이다. 그러므로 앞으로 우리 패션은 구미 모드의 模衛段階에서 탈피하여 우리 生活과 意識에 맞는 모드( mode )로의 定立이 요구된다. 本 硏究는 우리나라 服裝에서 金屬使用의 由來 및 特性을 고찰하였고, 이것을 기능적·장식적 측면에서 형태·문양·재료 등을 선별하여 작품제작을 함으로써 傳統裝飾의 아름다움을 現代服飾에 도입하여 우수한 활용가능성을 모색하였다. 本 硏究의 作品디자인은 대다수의 현대인들이 거부감 없이 수용할 수 있는 최신 유행스타일에 傳統的인 韓服의 線을 도입하여 기본 디자인을 한 후, 朝鮮家具의 金屬裝飾의 형태를 응용하여, 연구자의 시각에 의하여 재구성하여, 새로운 창조적 디자인 개발을 시도하였다. 작품제작과정에서, 소재로 금·은·동판 등을 사용하였고, 금속공예의 기법으로 만들어진 금속장식에 사용된 紋樣은 기하학적 형태로 변형시켰고, 전체적으로는 헌대적인 조화를 이루게 디자인하였다. 작품제작을 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 古家具의 金屬裝飾은 현재 사용되고 있는 구미 모드의 장식과 비교하여 다른 감각을 표현하고 강한 이미지를 부각시킬 수 있다. 2. 고가구에 사용된 금속장식의 아름다움을 살려 의상에 도입함으로써, 구미 모드의 모방단계에서 탈피하고, 우리 고유의 전통과 접목시켜 우리 자신의 모드( mode )정립이라는 효과를 가져오게 할 수 있다. 3. 작품디자인에 있어 木工藝와 金屬工藝의 美的 要素를 도입하여, 금속장식이 현대금속공예로서 예술적 가치를 가져오게 할 수 있다. 4. 서로 다른 재료인 원단·금속 가죽 등의 사용에서 오는 디자인적 요소들의 對比效果는 作品의 美的 價値를 높게 할 수 있다. 5. 朝鮮家具의 金屬裝飾 形態에서 응용한 실루엣과 '라인은 우리 고유의 傳統美를 가지고 있다. 이상으로 의상디자인에서 중요한 모티브(motive)가 될 수 있는 傳統裝飾에 대한 硏究가 필요하며, 服飾吏를 포함한 우리 傳統樣式의 硏究에 의해 트리밍·소재개발 등 art-to-wear적인 요소를 가미하고 또한 전반적인 새로운 소재의 선택이 필요하며 이를 바탕으로 하는 독특하고 개성있는 디자인이 現代服飾에 필요하다고 본다.;The modern costume is the art of the commercial character and pursuits indefinetely the possibility of a new expression at the field of styles, materials, methods etc. Nowadays, our fashion does not satisfy the need of the consumers in the public market only by the imitation of the western mode. And it in impossible to make Europeans, Americans a correct appreciation in the korean traditional costume. Therefore, in the near future, our fashion should overcome the step of the imitation and establish a new mode that can suit our life style and senses. The aim of this thesis is to study the backgrounds and characteristics of metal decorations in our country, and to select styles, patterns and materials at the point of functions and decorations, and to apply them in the modern costume. That is, it is to pursuit the possibility of improving the beauty of traditional decorations in the modern costume. The fashion design of this thesis is the traditional korean costume applied to the modern costume with metal decorations of Chosun furniture. In the process, copperplate, gold, silver are used, and the patterns in metal decorations are transformed into a creative pattern that can be harmony with a modern pattern. The general characteristics of this fashion design as follows : 1. Compared with metal decorations in the western mode, metal decorations in Chosun furniture can express a new sense and stand out a strong image. 2. Improving the beaty of metal decorations of Chosun furniture in the costume, can overcome the imitation of the western mode, and establish our traditional mode. 3. The introduction of the beautiful factors in wood craft design and metal craft design, makes metal decorations to have a greate art value in the modern craft design. 4. The utilization of different material, such as metal, leather, cloth, etc. can give the constrat effect of the design factors. 5. The silhouette and line applied with a pattern of metal decorations in Chosun furniture, has our traditionnal beauty. It is the general conclusions to need the study on traditional decorations that can be a important motive in the costume design, and to have an art-to-wear factor after the study of our tradition costume history and to develop a new fashion design that can be harmony with the modern costume.
