환상적 표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

Childhood is time when sensibility is most severe and strong and for the curiosity about all the things, children ask questions contituously and experience many things so that they can easily acquire much wisdom. Children have mostly self-centered idea and for the poential persecution mania (awareness of damage) produced by the discontent of the realities of life and by the sence of estrangement from the feeling of discomfort, they keep thinking of unrealistic ideas. Therefore, they intend to be compensated for their discomfort mostly by fantasy or imagenation and such illogical forms of idea are a superior privilege which can be procssed only by children. So, when such illogical procession of children's idea is applied to the illustrations for children, understanding on the side of childrens' situation can be acquired. Accordingly with their potential factors for fantastic expression being analised, a new direction towards their sound ideas can be searched and foulud out. A 'fantastic disposition of children' is the very important element that shoud be mostly considered in the several features that should be decorated in the illustrations appeared in fairy tales. It is not the simple descriptive expression in the process of visualizing the contents of a certain story concretely, however it is a very important tonic that is to present illustrations with those combined elements such as proper omission and tension, the atmosphere corresponding to the contents of the original text, the reader's age, creative expression, media, etc.. Such fantastic art is what is based on a spiritual state and to research into the imagination world and specially spontaneous and irrational features of imagination and be concerned about the fantastic composition and expression on the canvas, rather to be a certain particular style. Also, its is considered to be originated from the confidence that the imaginary power as a series of style which appears as being mutually related not only from re-emergence in reality to unrevibable style - l.e., 'the internal eyes' is more important than the real value of existence. Such a style of fantastic(illusionary) art had blossomed in the time of surrealism whose typical masters were Joan Miro, Rene Magritte, etc., and such masters helieved that there is more valuable thing in surrealism than in commonly accepted reality. The most part of their main sources by which they expressed something had come from the dreams and the fantastic atmosphere of childhood or mythological elements or superstition or folkway-like religion, and since such things have a considerabe part of common elements, it is considered that such things will settle children's contradiction in the realities of life or sense of estrangement from discomfort and will improve their potential imagination purely functionally. Therefore, studies on the illusion of illustration for children will be a 'passage of senses' and the 'rings of linkage' which connect between the special world that only children have and the real world of the adult.;아동기는 감수성이 가장 강한 때이며 모든 사물에 대한 강한 호기심 때문에 끊임없이 질문하고 또 체험함으로서 많은 지혜를 습득하게 되는 시기이다. 어린이들은 대단히 강한 자기중심적인 사고를 갖고 있는데 그것들은 결국 현실에 대한 불만이나 욕구의 괴리감들에서 생기는 잠재적 피해의식으로 늘 현실적이지 못한 사고를 계속하게 된다. 그러므로 이들은 주로 공상이나 상상으로 그러한 불만족을 보상 받고자하며 그와같은 비논리적인 사고의 행태는 아동들만이 진행할 수 있는 매우 탁월한 특권인 것이다. 이러한 비논리적인 사고의 진행이 아동을 위한 일러스트레이션에 적응되어질 때 대단히 아동적인 이해를 얻게됨으로, 환상적 표현을 위한 그 잠재요인들을 분석하여 새로운 방향을 모색하여야 한다. '환상성'이란, 그림동화책에 나타나는 일러스트레이션이 갖추어야 할 몇가지 특성중에서 가장 고려되어져야 할 요소이다. 그것은 글의 내용을 구체적으로 시각화하는 과정에서 단순한 서술적 묘사가 아니라 적절한 생략과 긴장, 원문의 내용에 부합되는 분위기, 독자의 연령, 창조적 표현 그리고 매체등의 복합적 요소들과 함께 일러스트레이션을 연출시키는 매우 커다란 활력소이다. 환상적이라는 것은 현실적으로 있을 수 없고 또 예기치 않는 것에 대한 연상적 표현이다. 인간의 주관이 배제된 무의식의 세계와 관련하여 꿈과 현실, 합리와 불합리 등과 같이 서로 다른 이질적 이미지를 높은 차원에서 통합하여 신비롭고 즐거운 환상적 세계를 표현하려는 인류의 끝없는 노력은 그것을 하나의 ism으로 형성하게 하였다. 이 환상미술이란 어떠한 특정 양식이라기 보다는 정신상태에 바탕을 둔것으로 상상력의 세계, 특히 상상력의 자발적/비합리적 특질을 탐구하며 화면의 환상적 구성과 표현에 중요한 관심을 갖는 것이다. 또한 사실적 재현 뿐만이 아니라 비재현적인 양식에 이르기까지 상호 관련되어 나타나는 일련의 스타일로서 상상력 즉, 내면의 눈이 실제적 존재가치 보다 더욱 중요하다는 확신으로 부터 비롯되어진 것이다. 이러한 환상미술의 양식은 현실적 체험을 상상하여 표현한 낭만주의로부터 신화적이고 신비주의적인 해석되어질 수없고 단지 상상되어질 수있는 것만을 표현한 상징주의를 거쳐 인간의 주관이 배제된 무의식의 세계나 꿈과 환상에 대한 탐구를 전폭적으로 기대하여 무한한 상상력의 확장을 주장하고 그 방법론적인 탐구를 요구하는등 꿈과 환상이 실제로 구성적인 지속성을 갖고 있다는 사실을 인정하여 예술을 그 만큼 위대한 영역으로 까지 확대시키려한 초현실주의에 이르러 꽃을 피우게 되는데 그들은 프로이드의 이론에 힘입어 아동의 예술적 표현을 지배하고 있는 심리구조의 퇴행을 즐겨 했는데 이렇게 아동의 심경에 접근하므로써 무의식으로의 접근을 용이하게 이루려 하였다. 결국 초현실이라는 것은 통념적인 현실보다 더욱 참된 가치가 존재한다는 것인데 그들이 표현하는 주된 주제는 대부분 꿈과 어린시절의 환상적 분위기나 신화적 요소 또는 미신, 토속적 신앙을 차용하고 있고 이것은 아동 일러스트레이션과 상당 부분 공통적 요소를 갖고 있으므로, 어린이의 현실적 모순이나 욕구의 괴리를 해소하며 그들의 잠재적 상상력을 순기능적으로 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다. 이렇게 예술에 있어서 외형적인 형태나 창조적 착상등에서 고정되지 않는 유연성을 지니고 있는 환상은 인간의 영혼적 실제와 관련되어 끊임없이 영속되고 변용하는 존재로서 오늘날에는 이전의 것에 대한 새로운 시도(Homage)의 형식으로 표현되어 그 중요성이 뿌리깊게 맥을 이어오고 있다. 인간의 내면세계와 관련되어 끊임없이 영속되어온 이러한 환상성이 부여되는 표현이란 아동을 위한 상상적 이미지의 공간 형성에 보다 효과적일 수 있으므로 본 연구에서는 다소 그 제한영역이 모호한 환상에 대한 표현을 주관적인 원근이나 예기치 않은 개체들의 결합 크기나 색조의 변화와 대비, 모순된 상황설정, 왜곡등으로 정의하여 표현함으로써 새로운 시각의 경험을 통하여 결과적으로 환상력의 증대로 인한 창조적 사고의 발달을 유도해 낼 수 있으므로 아동 일러스트레이션의 환상에 관한 연구는 매우 중요한 가치를 지니고 있으며 앞으로도 깊이를 지닌 끊임없는 연구의 필요와 인식을 요구한다.
