대중음악 디스크 쟈켓의 일러스트레이션 표현 연구

Abstract

대중문화는 현대의 주된 문화현상이기 때문에 그 일부로서의 디스크 쟈켓 디자인 또한 대중에게 좋은 환경이 제공되어야 하며 시각적인 만족을 줄 기획를 많이 갖도록 하여야 한다. 그러나 산업화에 따라 쟈켓 디자인은 순수 감각적 요소보다 전달 수단으로서의 기능에 충실하게 되면서 심미적 가치 보다 실용성에 치우치게 된다. 바로 여기에 디스크 쟈켓 디자인의 필요성이 있다고 하겠다. 이러한 시대적 변천에 따른 디스크 쟈켓 디자인의 기능 회복과 디자인의 다양화에 의하여 대중음악 애호가들의 대중문화 생활의 질적 향상을 위하여 대중음악 쟈켓 디자인의 일러스트레이션에 관해 연구를 하고자 한다. 쟈켓 디자인의 일러스트레이션을 제작하기 위해서 대중음악에 있어서 일러스트레이션의 필요성과 우리나라 쟈켓 디자인의 실태를 표집을 통해 분석해 보았다. 제안 작품은 기존의 사진의 복제나 기계적 모사를 통한 일러스트레이션에서 벗어나 대중적 이미지, 음악의 성격 등을 종합적으로 분석 표현함으로서 디자인의 기본원리(합목적성, 심미성, 경제성)에 충실함과 아울러 쟈켓 디자인의 다양화 및 질적 향상을 꾀하고자 한다.;The design of disk jacket has to provide a good environment with the mass of people and must have many opportunities able to meet the visual satisfaction as such a role because the popular culture is a primary cultural expression in the modern time. But the design of disk jacket according to the industrialization is becoming sincerer to the function as a transmission means than to the fine sensual element, thus it has been inclined to the practicality than to the aesthetic value. On this very point, it is to say that there is a necessity of disk .jacket design. This study plans to research about the illustration of jacket design for the qualitative promotion in the popular cultural life of the lovers to the popular music, based on the functional recovery of design on the disk jacket in accordance with these changes of the times and the variety of design. Therefore this study analyzed both the necessity of illustration and the actual conditions of our jacket in the popular music through the collections for the manufacture of illustration on the jacket design. The proposed work escaped from the illustration by means of the existing photographic reproduction and the technical description attempted to have he qualitative development or the variety of jacket design as well as thesincerity of base principles in design like the aesthetics aspect, the economical aspect, and the agreement of purpose by analzing and presenting synthetically the popular image and musical character and soon.
