室內 壁面裝飾 陶板 硏究

Abstract

인간은 항상 그 自身과 周邊環境을 파악하고 이해하여 보다 아름다운 방향으로 環境의 改選을 試圖하고 있으며, 그러한 흔적은 인류생활이 시작된 이후 原示時代의 동굴벽화에서부터 오늘날까지 끊임없이 이어져 오고 있다. 과학기술의 발달과 대량생산은 이러한 인간의 욕구를 충족시키기에 충분한 것이었지만, 인구증가와 도시집중적 현상을 초래한 오늘날의 産業社會는 生活養食과 衣食構造의 변화 속에 아파트와 같은 劃一的이고 圖式化된 住居環境의 성격을 띠면서 각자 개성있는 생활공간을 소유하고 싶은 본능적 욕구가 나타나게 되었다. 특히, 현대생활에서 대부분의 사람들이 室內에서 많은 시간을 보내게 됨에 따라 室內壁面은 裝飾的 側面에서 새로운 공간으로 인식되게 되었으며, 壁面裝飾 또한 다양한 樣想을 띠면서 여러 각도에서 새롭게 시도되고 있다. '흙'을 재료로 하는 도자예술은 인류의 역사와 함께 시작되었고 오늘날 그 영역은 생활용구의 實用的, 技能的 側面으로부터 벗어나 자유로운 視覺造形의 對相으로 변모하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 현대생활환경의 제반 여건속에 우리의 住居環境, 특히 실내공간의 벽면을 보다 개성있는 공간으로 조성할 수 있는 방안의 하나로, 陶板에 의한 壁面裝飾의 새로운 시도로서 그 가능성을 모색해 보고져, 오늘날 예술의 여러분에서 표현되고 있는 시리즈형식에 의한 주제 아래 그 방향을 제시해 보았다. 시리즈형식 陶板은 그 槪念에서 알 수 있듯이 각 개체가 공통의 주제 아래 일련의 한 세트를 이루는 것으로 동일한 造形要素를 반복 사용함으로써 단일 개체보다 시각적으로 강하게 느껴지는 점이 그 특징이다. 본 연구의 내용으로는 參考文獻에 의한 理論的 背景으로서 시리즈 형식이 성립할 수 있었던 발생 배경인 Unit 造形과 Serial Art에 대하여 연구하였고 아울러 시리즈 형식의 槪念 및 特性을 알아 보았다. 또한 수집자료에 의한 시리즈형식 造形作品을 예시하여 시리즈陶板의 壁面裝飾物로서의 가능성과 전망을 확인해 보는 한편 작품 제작 방향의 기초자료로 참고할 수 있었다. 작품제작은 裝飾이라는 특성을 감안하여 대량생산이 아닌 一品製作을 기본을 하였으며 주로 판성형(Slab Building)에 의한 작업방법을 택하였다. 작품내용으로는 幾何學的 形態에 바탕을 둔 단순 造形要素를 소재로 시리즈陶板의 조형적 특성을 부여해 보고져 하였다. 끝으로 본 硏究作品은 별도의 액자없이 陶板 그 자체를 벽에 걸 수 있도록 하였으며, 이와 같은 構造的 特徵은 圖面을 통하여 설명함으로서 壁面設置에 대한 기술상의 문제를 보완하였다. 이와 같은 硏究結果에서 造形要素의 반복에 의한 시리즈 형식 陶板이 단일한 형태의 個體性을 보다 강하게 나타내는 形態感의 동화로 조형적인 면에서 視覺傳達 효과가 강함을 느꼈으며, 효용적인 면에서도 다양한 壁面條件을 裝飾할 수 있는 장점이 있어 대형작품을 할 수 있는 재료적 측면만 보완된다면 무한한 가능성이 있는 環境陶磁의 한 영역이 될 수 있을 것이라고 생각한다.;Human beings are trying to study and improve their circumstance and environment. This kind of attempt has been continued from cave paintings of primitive era when the life of human beings started. The development of science and technology and mass production enabled the desires of human beings to be fulfilled. However the current industrialized society which caused rapid increase of the population and centralization into the urban area has changed and schematized like appartment but eventually instintive demand to secure individual living space has occurred. In particular, the interior wall has been recognized as a new space in the view point of interior decoration due to the fact that people become to spend more time indoor in modern life. Accordingly new style of interior wall decoration is being introduced and developed in various aspects. The ceramic art which requires clay as base material has started with human history and today it has became more important as visual formative art in addition to its practical and functional role of living tools. As an alternative way of making a personal and humanized environment by interior wall decoration in modern living circumstance, I tried to find out a new direction and passibility with "a series of theme in ceramic interior wall decoration" in this thesis. Series ceramic decoration flat is composed of several units the common these. It is one of the peculiarity of serious ceramic decoration flat that it gives us stronger image than individual unit by repeating the same formative characteristics in series. In this thesis, I studied unit formation and serial art which have been the back ground how the series ceramic decoration flat has been established and the concept and characteristics of it through the various reference books. I also tried to find out the possibilities and prospect of "series ceramic decoration flat" though the example of application of collected materials with which I also could use as reference material of my works. Considering the peculiarity of the decoration, I have chosen single production rather than the mass production as the basis and mainly depended upon Slab Building method in my work. I tried to give the special characteristics to the formation of the series ceramic decoration flat by adapting simple formative characteristics based on geometrical shape as a subject matter in my work. Finally, I enabled my work to be hung on the wall without any frame and complemented the technical problem of installation by explanation of structural peculiarity through drawing. As the result of my study, I felt that series ceramic decoration flat by the repeat of formative characteristics gave stronger image of formation than single unit and it was very effective in visual transference in the aspect of formation. In the aspect possibilites in environmental ceramic art if we supplement the material side so as the large scale works can be available because it can effectively decorate various kinds of wall condition.
