Stained Glass 이미지를 응용한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

The pursuit of beauty that in a human instinct has been continued in the category of art that man can express. And the artistic expression to today is a psychological representation of a creative man. That is, it is an original visual language that represents emotion and order of an individual. Artists have explored newly the limitless possibility on various techniques and expressional methods to express certain idea within mind. And this expression of idea appears individualistically and originally according to the artist's view of subject. Dress is a mean of self expression and, at the same time, the most visualized expression that represents life, emotion and idea. It is a form of creation that reflects human behavior and thought. The contemporaries want themselves expressed into the more original fashion. In this point of view, the study tried to make an imaged expression of the impulsion for creation that is called "art will" through the method of 'stained glass' which is a medieval architectural mode. For this, the expressional method of the stained glass well harmonized in light and color was analyzed to be combined with dress and its ornament in order to recreate it in a new artistic dimension. And, a harmony with fashion as an artistic form of painting was suggested sublimating creational will aesthetically.;인간의 본능인 미에 대한 추구는 인간이 표현할 수 있는 예술이란 범주내에서 계속되어 오고 있으며, 오늘날의 예술표현은 창조적 인간의 심리적 표출이다. 즉, 개인의 감정과 질서를 나타내는 독창적인 시각 언어이다. 예술가는 마음속에 있는 어떤 관념을 표현하기 위해 다양한 기법과 표현방법에 대한 무한한 가능성을 새롭게 개척하여 왔으며 그러한 관념의 표현은 예술가의 주관에 따라 독특하게 개성적으로 나타난다. 복식은 자기표현의 수단인 동시에 생활·감정·사상 등을 나타내는 가장 시각적인 표현으로 인간의 행위와 사고를 반영하는 창조물의 한 형태이다. 현대는 보다 독창적인 외상으로 자신이 표현되어지기를 원한다. 이러한 시점에서 본 연구자는 "예술의지"라고 불리우는 창작에 대한 충동을 중세 건축 양식인 Stained Glass를 이미지화시켜 표현 하고자 하였다. 빛과 색채가 조화된 Stained Glass의 표현방법 분석을 통해 복식과 결합시켜 보다 새로운 예술적 차원으로 재창조하고자 하며, 회화적인 예술형태로서의 복식과의 조화를 제시하고 창작의지를 미적으로 승화시키고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 첫째로, 색채의 부각을 통해 다양한 이미지의 형상화를 시도해 보고 둘째로, 건축장식에 사용된 Stained Glass의 응용 범위를 복식으로 확대시켜 새로운 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.
