영어 발음 지도에 있어서의 문제점

Abstract

경험이 발음 문제에 있어서 중요한 원인이 된다고 생각되므로, 이미 습득된 모국어에 입각한 외국어 연습은 바람직하다고 본다. 영어와 한국어의 두 자음 체계는 동일한 것으로 비교 되어 왔다. 그러므로 영어를 배우는 한국 학생들의 발음상의 차이점을 미리 알고 있으면 오류를 줄이는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것 같아 비교해 보았고 실지 수업을 통해 가능한 해결 방안을 찾아 보았다. 두 언어를 비교 함으로써 해결 방안을 찾는데 근거를 둔 test를 학생들에게 시도해 봄으로써 그 test의 결과가 대조 분석을 통해 미리 예견했던 바와 동일한가를 확인하고 그 확인된 내용으로 해결책을 모색하고자 한다.;The purpose of the study is to find out how the resulting data from contrastive analysis of Korean and English sound systems maybe incorporated into teaching English to Korean students. The two consonant systems of English and Korean have been compared with a view to identifying and predicting problem points for Korean students of English and to providing the possible solutions to pronunciation problems in classrooms. The problems of continuant consonants have been our major concern because experiences have shown those to be the principal source of pronunciation problems. Tests based on the findings out of the comparative study have been administered to the students and the result of the tests agreed with the prediction of the comparison. To conclude, therefore, the part that contrastive analysis can play in teaching a foreign language should not be overlooked since it is of great use in language teaching. Persistent recurrence of the same type of mistakes cannot be explained other than mother tongue influence upon second language learning.
