한국 문양의 율동적 재구성

Abstract

The patterns on the surface of arts and crafts that are easily seen around us were used as means of expressing religion or inner beauty even before man made use of written letters. Each country and race possesses its own unique patterns and the construction of these traditional patterns have come to express their unique aesthetic consciousness. This researcher understands the aesthestic consciousness of the Korean people and their mould characteristics. And the goal of my research is to expolre the possibility of expressing the dyeing of colors through the reconstruction of the flowing lines of Boonchungsagi. To this end, I have examined the subjects and expression of Boonchungsagi and made a general study of the patterns as well as the moulding characteristics of the arts and crafts of Boonchungsagi as a theoretical background. I have also researched the subjects for expression and construction along with materials and teniques that are required for the art production. The work has been done and analyzed this research which led me to following conclusion. First, I have noticed that traditional arts and crafts of Korea simbolize the nature in general. I have also noticed that the harmony of lines on Boonchungsagi are modelled after the harmony felt from nature and that this folwing beauty is an important lelement of the aesthetic concsiousness of the Korean people. Second, the images the researcher perceives vary depending on her personal experiences and subjectiveness. However, one can ascertain the perception of moulding of the people of the Yi dynasty through the subjects they selected during the expression process and the simplicity and succinctness of the Boonchungsasi patterns. Third, as for the production of the art work, artisans were able to effectively express a lively flowing beauty in the patterns by employing a method of repeating the process, graduating the shading of the colors and the special quality of paraffin each time. With these conclusions, in order to support the discovery of currently unprovided facts on the production process and appropriately and effectively express this theme, I intend to extablish a specific moulding subarea within the art of dyeing through continuous research of the materials and techniques involved.;우리의 생활주변에서 볼 수 있는 공예미술품의 표면에 나타나는 문양은 인류가 문자를 사용하기 이전에 이미 생활속에서 하나의 종교적 또는 심미적인 표현방법으로 사용되어 왔다. 각 나라와 민족은 그들 고유의 문양이 있고 그 고유의 문양은 각 나라와 민족의 미의식의 표현으로 전통적 문양으로 형성되었다. 본 연구자는 한국인의 미의식과 조형성을 이해하고 분청사기 문양의 율동적인 선을 재구성함으로서 염색에 의한 표현 가능성을 모색해 보는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경으로 대상과 표현, 문양의 일반적 고찰, 분청사기 문양의 조형성에 관하여 고찰해 보고 작품제작을 위한 방법으로 표현소재, 형성, 재료 및 기법을 연구하였다. 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 작품을 제작하고 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 우리나라의 전통문양은 대체로 자연의 상징인것을 알 수 있었고 특히 분청사기 문양은 자연에서 느끼는 선의 조화가 조형적으로 구성되어 선의 율동미가 우리 민족의 미의식의 중요한 요소임을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 분청사기 문양에서 느끼는 이미지를 연구자의 체험과 주관에 따라 변형하여 표현하는 과정에서 소재로 택한 분청사기 문양의 소박하고 간결한 형태를 통해 이조인의 조형의식을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 작품제작에 있어서 파라핀의 특성과 색상의 농담에 의한 점이와 반복의 방법을 활용함으로서 분청사기 문양의 생동감있는 율동미를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있었다. 이러한 결론과 더불어 제작과정에서 발견된 미비한 점을 보완하고 주제에 적합한 효과적인 표현을 하기 위해서 재료 및 기법의 계속적인 연구로 염색예술의 독창적인 조형세계를 구축해 나가고자 한다.
