자연이 갖는 예술적 이미지

Abstract

As human life cannot exist free itself from nature whether or not one can recognize it, it has been an object of the interest from each field of study for a long time. Especially, the creators leading a creative act of expression are thought to have more interest in nature. The reason is why we cannot exclude completely the image we could get from it, though to express something is not to give a realistic description. I guess we're too lack in comfortable living to think the importance of nature, though it always keeps with us. Therefore, I have searched for a "mountain" whose beauty and image can be easily possessed and found by everyone, not by a special class in our society, and pursued a possibility to express new nature through formalizing this image with other space as a work of dyeing which I have set up as the purpose of this study. The conclusions obtained from producing and analyzing the work based on the theoritical backgrounds on the image of nature, are as follows. 1. The beauty of nature can be ignored so easily because of its too frequnt touches with us. But, at the same time, it has rept inseparable relations with humanbeing and we are easily aware of that there have been incessant investigations on it from diverse fields in the world. 2. The mountain, I selected as the object, is regarded as a pertinent material to express the beautiful image of nature by free lines of batic. 3. I have tried to express the sense of the materials surrounded by trees and rock in the mountain, centering on their image rather than realistic expression of the mountain. So the image of tree was represented by batic making use of tape on the space of the lightest color, and that of mountain by the repetition of this method. In the meantime, the problems in the work cresting are 1. It was difficult to proportion a small space with the material, the mountain. In addition, the expression of the surface doesn't seem to have treated effectively with its inner world. 2. Batic making use of tape, made it difficult to get deliberate expression due to its too easy turn according to the turn of the temperature of paraffin. With this work production, I'll try to research further something insuficient in the work and thus improve and produce relative works continuously to create higher level of works.;인간의 생활이란 각 개인이 인식하든 인식하지 못하든 자연을 벗어나 결코 있을수 없기에 옛부터 각 분야에서 관심의 대상으로 자리잡고 있다. 특히 창조적인 표현활동을 하는 작가들에게는 자연을 대하는 관심이 더욱 크다고 하겠다. 비록 표현하는 것이 사실적인 묘사가 아니라 하더라도 자연에서 얻을 수 있었던 이미지라는 것을 완전히 배제할 수 없음이 그 까닭일 것이다. 항상 우리 삶과 자연은 함께 있지만 그 소중함을 생각하기엔 생활의 여유가 부족하기에 본 연구자는 아주 쉽게 만날 수 있고 볼 수 있는 '산'이라는 대상을 선택하여 어느 한 계층만이 소유하거나 느낄 수 있는 아름다움이 아닌 누구나 쉽게 공감할 수 있는 산의 이미지를 또 다른 공감과 함께 염색작품으로 형상화함으로서 새로운 자연의 표현 가능성을 추구하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 자연미와 예술미 자연이미지의 표현에 대해 고찰한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 작품을 제작 분석하여 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연은 자연스럽게 접할 수 있기에 인간은 자연에 대한 아름다움을 잊을 수도 있지만, 그러나 자연은 결코 인간과 떨어질 수 없는 관계이기에 다각적인 측면에서 자연에 대한 연구와 표현이 끊임없이 행해지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 본 연구자가 택한 산은 자연의 아름다운 이미지를 납방염 기법을 사용하여 자유로운 선에 의해 표현되는 적절한 소재였다고 생각한다. 셋째, 사실적인 산의 표현보다는 산이 갖고 있는 이미지를 중심으로 산 속의 나무나 바위로 둘러쌓인 산의 재질과 양을 가장 엷은색 부분에 테이프를 이용하므로써 방염처리해 나무의 이미지를 나타내었고 그 과정을 반복하는 작업으로 산을 표현한 방법을 선택하였다. 한편 제작과정에 있어서의 문제점은, 첫째, 산을 배경으로 한 작은 공간의 비례처리문제가 어려웠고 그 면의 표현은 내면적인 세계를 효과적으로 다루지 못한듯 하다. 둘째, 테이프를 이용한 방염법이 초의 온도에 따라 쉽게 변해 의도적인 표현이 어려웠다. 이번 작품을 계기로 미흡했던 문제들은 연구 보완하고 계속적인 작품활동으로 차원 높은 작품을 연구하고 시도하고자 한다.
