심상의 추상적 표현 연구

Abstract

19세기 말에서 점차로 추상으로 변화된 현대미술이 순수추상으로 달음질 치고 있는 것은 현대 과학문명에 따른 합리성이나 (미술 그 자체)에 목적을 둔 미술의 자율성으로 이해되어 질 수 있다. 현대 추상미술의 흐름은 외계 사물의 객관적인 재현이 아니라 인간의 내면세계에 존재하고 있는 무한한 내적 감정을 자신의 주관과 내적 필연성에 의해 자유스럽게 표출하는 것이다. 이와같은 미술의 흐름속에서 본 연구자는 자신의 내면세계에 존재하고 있는 무한 감정을 염색만의 세계에서 느낄 수 있는 감성적인 요소를 결합시켜 자신의 내적감정을 시각화 해 보는 것에 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경에서는 미술사에 나타난 추상표현과, 심상과 표현에 대하여 고찰해 보았고 이러한 이론을 토대로 작품제작과 이의 분석을 통하여 얻은 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 심상의 추상적 표현 연구라는 주제를 문헌을 통하여 이해하므로써, 인간 내부에 존재하고 있는 무한감정과 상상의 이미지를 서정적 추상으로 시각화하는데 이론적 근거와 기틀을 마련할 수 있었다. 둘째, 추상적 면과 붓 터치에 의한 서정적인 요소의 만남은 새로운 조형적 질서를 창조해 낼 수 있다는 가능성을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 염료가 섬유에 번지는 특성을 이용한 붓터치에 의한 묘염 기법은 경직된 느낌을 순화시킬 수 있는 효과적인 표현 기법이며, 뿌리기 기법은 환상적 효과를 나타낼 수 있는 가능성을 제시해주었다. 넷째, 염색의 채색 과정에서 心的 전달의 분위기를 표현하는데 어려움이 있었고, 추상적 면과 겹쳐지는 선들의 배색에 있어 혼돈 될 수 있으므로 염색하기 전에 치밀한 작품 계획을 세워야 했다. 이와같은 결론을 토대로 미흡한 점들은 앞으로의 창작 활동에 대한 연구정진의 계기로 삼을 것이며, 염색 예술에 대한 계속적인 노력을 통하여 보다 차원높은 조형세계를 창조해 나갈 수 있을 것이다.;The current trend of modern apt continuously explores and evolves the concept and the scope of art into an unknown territory, and thus enables artists to pursne creativity in conjunction with their originality. In the age of scientific rationalism, the expression of individuality initiated a new movement, soon to be followed by a new category of art known as abstract art. Abstract art, which is the inevitable product of the age, shows two main trends: one is geometrical abstraction with intellectual propensity, so called 'cold abstraction', and the other is expressionistic abstraction initiated by emotional propensity, emphasizing internal mecessity. With these trends in mind, I came to conclude that the infinitely free world of man does not exist for beyond, but is the infinite emotion tying in his internal world. This research aims to visualize the internal emotion of man by incorporating the emotional elements, caused by touch methods, which are peculiar to the world of dyeing. For theoretical references, the expression of mental image and abstract expression were scrutinized, and the results of an analysis on the works are as follows. First, theoretical foundations and frameworks were constructed for visualizing the infinite emotion and imaginary images into emotional abstraction, by investigating literature on the theme of the abstract expression of mental images. Second, the combination of emotional factors through abstract planes and touches proved the possibilty of cresting a new formational order. Third, drawing methods by touches, using the effect of dye spreading on textile, are effective in softening the feeling of rigidity, while the spray method proved the possibilty of creating fantastic effects. Fourth, a careful pland had to be prepared before hand, because it was difficult to express the atmosphere for mental communication in the process of coloring, and because confusion was expected in the combination of colors for the lines overlapping with abstract planes.
