事物對比의 象徵的 表現에 關한 硏究

Abstract

인간의 삶과 예술이 맺고 있는 가장 밀접한 관계에 의해서 예술은 우리 내부에서 삶을 고양시킬 힘과 욕구를 불러 일으키고 삶을 실현시키며 더 큰 발전에 이르도록 도와주는 역할을 한다. 예술가는 그가 표현하고자 하는 충동에 따라 자연의 현상에서 얻은 이미지를 창조하기도 하고 깊이 있는 내면의 세계를 실제적이고 친근감있는 소재를 통해 번역하기도 한다. 이때 예술가들이 관심을 둔 것은 형태의 문제나 추상과 구상과의 차이점 등이 아니고 훨씬 본질적인 것이었다. 이들이 달성하고자 한 것은 사물이면 또는 본질속에 영혼이 내재한다고 믿고 예술로부터, 삶을 해석케 하여 보다 설득력있고 신뢰할만한 삶의 의미를 끌어내는데 있는 것이다. 다시 말해서 인간의 마음속 어두운 곳에 불을 비추는 것이야말로 예술가의 임무이며 예술의 목적이라는 것이다. 예술가에 의해 사물은 표현되어지고 그 의미를 전달하는 상징이 된다. 이러한 의미에서 이 세상에 존재하는 모든 것 즉, 대자연속에서의 상징은 물론이고 인간이 만들어 놓은 모든것과 추상적인 형태까지도 상징적 의미가 존재한다고 말해도 과언은 아닐 것이다. 여기서 자연은 무궁무진한 형태의 근원으로 그 본질적인 질서를 어떻게 창의적이며 상징적으로 표현하느냐가 본 연구의 핵심이다. Ⅱ장에서는 인간의 역사를 통해서 발전해 온 전달수단의 배경이 되는 커뮤니케이션에 관하여 크게 언어적 전달과 비언어적 전달로 구분하였다. 비언어적 전달에서 시각언어는 예술가가 자신이 느끼고 표현하고자 하는 감동을 전달하는 수단으로 다른 전달 수단 보다 더 넓고 깊은 범위의 사실과 생각을 전달할 수 있게 한다. 커뮤니케이션 수단으로 상징을 암시화 하느냐 명시화 하느냐에 따라서 문자 문장등과 같은 기호가 되기도 하고 회화와 일러스트레이션이 되기도 한다. 그러나 일러스트레이션은 주제를 보다 명확하게 시각화하는 목적을 갖고 표현 가치를 부여하기 때문에 회화에서 처럼 작가의 사고방식이나 작가의 미의식을 표명하기 위해서 상징을 제작하는 것과는 구분된다. Ⅲ장에서는 형식이 내용보다 복잡해지면 전달하고자 하는 메시지가 소기의 목적을 이룰 수 없기 때문에 작품소재로 삼은 모든 것에 상대적인 강조를 하기 위하여 대비를 도입하였다. 그리하여 사물을 대비시킬때 사물 자체로서도 대비를 이루게 하고 동시에 인간과 물질세계의 제반 현상들을 결합시켜 내적 세계와도 대비를 이룰 수 있도록 하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 상징적 표현방법의 역사적 근거로 삼은 르네 마그리트의 작품과 본 연구자의 일러스트레이션의 작품에서 각각 유사점을 발견할 수 있었다. 그 또한 사물의 지속적인 탐구에 의해서 그것의 내부에 있는 진정한 신비를 우리에게 제시하려고 했다. 그러나 마그리트는 강하게 호소하는 의미를 사물에 부여하지 않았다는 것과 연구자는 표현된 사물의 이미지에 인간의 삶의 의미를 부여하려고 했다는 점에서 차이점을 발견할 수 있었다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 사물대비의 상징적 이미지를 표현하는 과정에서 얻은 결론과 문제점을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대상의 이미지에 주관적인 해석을 통해서 이를 개성있는 기법으로 표현하고자 노력하여 8점의 작품을 제작한 결과 주관적인 표현세계를 공감의 영역으로 이끌 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 즉 자연적인 물질을 통해서 무형적인 면까지도 볼 수 있게 하여, 상징적 의미를 지각할 수 있는 가능성을 제시한 것이다. 둘째, 무생물로 표현되어진 삶의 억압으로 부터 상징적으로 유도된 생물의 탄력성과 가변성에 의하여 삶의 의미를 희망적으로 표현하였다. 여기에서 희망이란 생물의 가시적인 성장과정을 인간의 삶의 과정으로 대입시켜 얻은 삶을 고양시킬 힘과 욕구를 불러일으키게 하는 것을 뜻한다. 셋째, 이러한 연구자의 감정과 감각을 전달하는 효과적인 전달수단으로서 일러스트레이션 작품을 제작하였으나, 주관성이 강해져서 전달하고자 하는 상징적 의미가 개념으로 정립되기에는 미흡한 경향이 있다. 따라서 본 연구자는 계속적인 제작활동을 통하여 이러한 문제점을 보완하고 연구자의 특성을 개발할 수 있도록 일러스트레이션 작품제작에 정진하고자 한다.;By the closest relationship with human beings, the arts produce life strength ＆ desire to enrich our life, make realize our life and help to develop it. The artists create works with the images from natural phenomena by the impulsive expression, or translate his inner world through practical ＆ familiar symbols. When they do the above artistic work, they are not concerned of shaping problem or difference between abstract for formative, rather he is concerned of something much important. Here what they try is the essence of life ＆ things, that is the eternity ＆ internal establishment. In other words, it was the purpose of art and duty of artist to enlight to the dark side of human-mind. By the artists, the things are expressed and get meaning by symbols. Thus in the everything of the world including the great nature and abstract figures, there exist symbols. Here the nature means the original source to give birth to everything existing in the world now. And how to express it creatively, symbolically is the main purpose of the thesis. Men's history, into verbal and nonverbal communication. Among the nonverbal communication, the visual communication is the means for artists to express their impression ＆ thoughts, and it is broader than verbal one in terms of variety. According to expression, that is whether it is symbolic or explicit, it becomes painting or illustration. But the illustration is the theme oriented expression, while painting if concentreted on the beauty to express the thoughts of the artist. In chapter Ⅲ, I introduced a coparison of things to emphasize the materials for an expression. since if the means gets complicated, the contents is hardly expected to be expressed successfully. In chapter Ⅳ, I found some similiarity between Rene Margritte's which the expression methodology is based on and my own illustration work and discussed about it. But still I could have found the difference between the two, that is Magritte didn't emphasize on the meaning of the things expressed, while I myself tried to put the meaning of men's life on the things expressed. Also I tried to present the real secret inside things through continuous work. With the above background, first I could establish new formative view-point through finsihing 8 new works, trying to express things uniquely with the subjective view-point of the image of the things. Secondly, I tried to express positively the meaning of life with the living organism's responsivencess ＆ flexibility induced symbolically from the depressed life of nonliving things. Thirdly, in the process of transferring my own emotion ＆ sense, it became more like painting than illustration due to the subjective view-point which became much stronger than the beginning of the work. Thus I am planning to devote for the illustration work to develop my own individuality while corecting the above problem through steady work.
