자연을 형상화한 도자작품 연구

Abstract

As a man is ceaselessly bound to long and thirst for nature because he has to depend on her providence from time immemorial, nature is always the resource and matrix of all sorts of fine arts. In addition, the beauty and wonder in nature have not simply provided artists with the endless possibilities to express various and rich materials but also allowed the creation of new arts in exploring her formative elements with their intuitive consciousness and imagination. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to express live images felt from the part of nature, a forest, with mud in terms of the simply modified geometrical shape and also of the superficially shaped form. To do so, the process toward any form has to be studied: Theoretically many expressional possibilities for natural objects in several artists are looked into on the bases of the correlation between and artists' reaction against the natural forest and their works. As such, all the elements full of liveliness, harmony, peacefulness, and warmness that you can feel in a forest are formalized into some works of flowers, birds, trees, rocks, water, or hills. For a production method in the study, Slip Casting by plaster molds and Molding technicque are used in accordance with the size or shape of the works using the ceramic natured mud and Milyang white earth. And the used pigments are Cobalt, Green No-11, Peacock Green M-128, Pink G-50, Yellow Z-3000, and Lilac No-10 which are made in 'Hyundae Yohwa'. They are first splashed over white matt and then splashed again partially with having the pigments added to the matt. And they undergo the first heating at 0.7 L/B between 850 C＾(0)-900 C＾(0)for about 8 hours and then do the restoration heating at 0.7 L/B between 1230 C＾(0)-1250 C＾(0) for about 10 hours. In conclusion, the procedure of this study tells that only sharp observation and ceaseless efforts can give rise to the completion of creative and original works.;태고이래 자연의 섭리안에 존재하는 인간은 자연에 대한 끊임없는 동경과 열망으로, 자연은 모든 예술의 근원이 되고 예술의 모체가 되어왔다. 또한 자연의 아름다움과 경이로움은 예술가들에게 끊임없이 다양하고 풍부한 소재로 표현 가능성을 제시하고 자신의 직관적인 의식과 상상으로 조형적 요소를 추출하여 새로운 예술을 창조해 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 자연의 일부인 숲속을 대상으로 단순 변형된 기하학적 형태와 숲속의 이미지를 추상적으로 형상화한 변형으로 흙을 매체로 하여 조형의 세계로 표현하였다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경으로 숲속과 예술과의 관계를 살피고 숲속의 조형성을 바탕으로 자연대상의 표현가능성을 여러 작가의 작품을 통해 살펴봄으로써 조형작품으로 이어지는 형상화 과정을 연구하였다. 위의 과정을 통하여 숲속에서 느낄 수 있는 생명감 조화로움 평온한 포근함으로 충만된, 꽃, 새, 나무, 돌, 물 등의 요소로 조형화 하였다. 제작방법으로는 자기질 점토와 밀양백토를 사용하여, 작품의 크기와 형태 등 표현 방법에 따라 석고틀을 이용한 이장 주입성형 (Slip Casting)과 주형기법을 사용하였고, 사용된 안료는 현대요화에서 구입한 Cobalt Green No-11, 피코크그린. M-128, pink. G-50, Yellow. Z-3000, Lilac, No-10를 사용하여, 백 matt로 분사시유한 다음 matt유에 안료를 첨가하여 부분적으로 분사시유 하였으며 850℃∼900℃ 사이에서 8시간 정도로 0.7L/B(루베)의 가스 가마에 1차소성 후에 1230℃∼1250℃에 10시간 정도로 0.7L/B(루베)의 가스가마에서 환원소성을 하였다. 이와 같이 자연의 숲속을 형상화하는 작품제작을 통하여 자연은 외적인 모방이 아니라 자연이 갖는 美를 표현하는 造形의지에 의해 또 자연을 보는 예리한 관찰과 끊임없는 노력만이 창조적이고 독창적인 작품제작의 완성을 가져 올 수 있다는 것을 알았다.
