유치원과 국민학교 1학년 교육과정의 환경교육내용 분석

Abstract

유치원과 국민학교 1학년 교육과정의 환경교육내용 분석을 위한 본 연구는 문교부 「유아교육지도자료집」과 국민학교 1학년 교과서에 나타난 환경교육 관련내용 및 활동형태(방법)를 밝히고 나아가 문교부 「유아교육지도자료집」과 국민학교 1학년 교과서간 환경교육의 공통점과 차이점을 살펴봄으로써 유치원에서의 환경교육을 위한 기초자료를 마련하려는데 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 문교부 「유아교육지도자료집」에 나타난 환경교육에 관한 내용 및 활동형태는 어떠한가? 2. 국민학교 1학년 교과서에 나타난 환경교육에 관한 내용 및 활동방법은 어떠한가? 3. 유치원과 국민학교 1학년간의 환경교육 내용에는 어떤 공통점과 차이점이 있는가? 본 연구의 방법은 문헌연구로 한국교육개발원에서 제시한 환경교육 영역의 분석기준에 따라 문교부 「유아교육지도자료집」 10권과 국민학교 1학년 교과서 「즐거운 생활」, 「슬기로운 생활」, 「바른생활」과 교사지침서를 분석하였으며, 사례연구로 환경교육의 실제를 알아 보기 위해 유치원, 국민학교 각 1곳을 사례 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 문교부 「유아교육지도자료집」을 분석한 결과 환경교육 관련 내용은 14개의 주제에서 총 37개로 나타났다. 환경교육 영역별로 보면 자연환경, 인공환경, 자원, 환경오염, 자연보존 등을 다루고 있으며 자연환경 영역이 타 영역 보다 많았다. 활동형태는 이야기 나누기, 실험 및 관찰, 견학, 동시, 동시 짓기, 작업으로 전개되고 있으며 이야기 나누기 형태로 가장 많이 다루어져 있다. 환경교육 영역 중 자연환경은 이야기 나누기로 가장 많이 다루어져 있고 자원은 작업활동으로만 접근되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사례에서는 ＜쓰레기로 인한 환경 오염에＞ 에 대한 내용을 다루고 있으며, 이야기 나누기, 그림 그리기, 동시 짓기, 동화 듣기의 형태로 다루어지고 가정과의 연계도 이루어지고 있었다. 2. 국민학교 1학년 교과서는 「즐거운 생활」, 「슬기로운 생활」, 「바른생활」 교과로 15개의 단원에서 총 28개로 나타났다. 환경교육 영역을 보면 자연환경, 인공환경, 자원, 환경오염, 자연보존, 환경보전, 자연정화 등에 관해 다루어지고 있으며 그 중 자연환경에 관한 내용이 가장 많았다. 교과별로 보면 「바른생활」에서 비교적 많이 다루어져 있고 활동방법은 이야기 나누기, 작업 (그림 그리기, 만들기, 꾸미기 ), 관찰, 분류하기, 비디오 시청 등으로 전개되어 나타났으며 많은 내용이 이야기 나누기와 관찰의 방법이 병행되고 있다．사례에서는 환경교육은 교과와 관련하여 ＜자연보호를 하기 위해 우리가 할 일＞ 에 대한 내용을 다루고 있으며 교과 외에 특별활동과 행사활동으로 글짓기도 하고 있었다. 대부분의 환경교육 영역은 이야기 나누기로 전개되고 있다. 3. 문교부 「유아교육지도자료집」과 「즐거운 생활」,「슬기로운 생활」,「바른생활」에서 공통적으로 다루고 있는 환경교육 영역은 자연환경, 인공환경, 자원, 자연보존, 환경오염 등이다. 환경교육 내용은 자원, 자연보존 영역에서는 비슷한 내용을 다루고 있으나 자연환경, 인공환경, 환경오염 영역은 문교부 「유아교육지도자료집」에서 더 다양하고 깊은 내용으로 다루어져 있는 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study are to make clear the related contents and activites of environmental education in「Early childhood guaidance material」 issued by the ministry of Education and the textbooks of primary school for 1st grade and to prepare the basic material for environmental education in kindergarden by looking into the common and difference of envirnmental educaton between「Early Childhood Guaidance Material」issued by the ministry of Education and the textbooks of primary school for 1st grade. Concrete research questions are as follows： 1. What are the contents and activities on environmental education in「Early childhood guaidance Material」 issued by the ministry of Education? 2. What are the Contents and activities on environmental education in the textbooks of primary school for 1st grade? 3. What are the relativities on the contents of environmental education between Kindergarden and primary school? According to the analytical standard area of environmenatl education classified by Korea Education Development Board, the method of this study analyzed ten books of「Early childhood Education Guaidance Material」issued by the Ministry of Education, the textbooks of primary school(Joyful Life, Wise Life, and Right Life) and a teacher's guaide book, and made an investigation one Kindergarden and one primary school to find out the reality of environmental education as a case study. Research results of each question are as followed: 1. As a result of analyzing「Early Childhood Education Guaidance Material」, the Contents related to environmental education are all 37 Contents in 14 main Subjects. Seeing each environmental education area, the study dealt with natural environment, resource, environment pollution, human work environment and natural preservaton. Natural environment area is the greater part than any other in that area. Activities are story talking, Children's Verse, Composing Verse, and Work, story talking is the most frequent treated method, natural environment is mainly being hardled by the way of Story talking and resource is only being touched by working activity. 2. There are all 28 Contents in 15 chapters in the textbooks of primary school for 1st grade(Joyful Life, Wise Life, and Right Life). Seeing the environmental education area natural environment, human work environment resource, environment pollution, natural preservation, environmenal preservation, natural purification are being dealt and the natural environment area is the most frequent managed. Seeing every study course, the natural environment method is comparatively open used. Activities are handling story talking, work(Drawing, Making, Decorating), observation, classfication and video watching, and many contents are using story talking and observation side by side in ways of special activity and event activity for environmental education as well but a major portion of environmental education area is being managed by Storytalking. 3. Environmental education area being treated in 「Early Childhood Guaidane Material」 issued by the Ministry of Education and the textbooks of primary school for 1st grade have almost same area : resource and natural preservation, but they are not linked well for natural environment, environmental polluton, and human work environmental area of kindergarden is more closely touched in that of primary school.
