염색의 실용화를 위한 연구

Abstract

생활환경의 기본인 주공간을 개성있고 아름답게 꾸밈으로서 쾌적한 생활을 영위하려는 염원은 모든 사람이 추구하는 것이다. 현대사회는 끊임없는 새로운 디자인 개발 시대이므로 우리만이 가지고 있는 고유의 전통문양의 장점과 특색을 개발하여 서구화된 현대 생활양식과 생활감정에 어울리는 독특한 미를 창조하고자 하는 시도는 매우 의의있는 연구라고 생각된다. 따라서 본 연구자는 전통 문양 중에서도 질서있고 정확한 기하학 형태를 택하여 이를 적절히 재구성하여 실용적 염색 작품으로 표현하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 문헌과 논문을 통하여 전통 생활문양을 연구함으로써 독창적인 디자인을 재구성하여 일반적으론 침실에서 사용되는 침대카바, 베개, 쿠숀, 벽걸이 등을 제작하였으며 이를 분석하는 과정에서 다음과 같은 결론에 도달하였다. 첫째, 우리의 전통미가 담긴 기하학적 형태를 디자인한 염색 실용품을 제작한다는 것은 옛것을 되살리고자 하는 우리사회 풍조뿐만이 아니라 전통을 찾고자 하는 세계적 조류에 발 맞추어 바람직한 일이다. 둘째, 예술작품에 있어 예술성과 더불어 실용성을 포함한 생활용품으로서의 시도는 많은 사용자의 호응을 얻을 수 있고 기대를 충족시켜 주므로 염색 공예의 실용화는 당연히 필요한 작업이라 생각된다. 세째, 염색 공예가 지닌 독창성을 산업에 반영시켜서 염색 실용품의 생산 공예가 이루어지도록 하여야 하겠다. 이를 위해서는 디자이너들의 자각적인 활동이 있어야겠고 기업인들의 올바른 의식으로서 염색 실용품 개발을 위한 적극적인 육성이 뒷받침 되어야 한다. 또한 우리 전통 문화의 올바른 인식으로 그 개발에 계속적인 노력을 기울이며 이를 활용한 염색의 개발은 생활과 밀착하고 교류함으로써 더욱 더 아름다와지는 그러한 아름다움을 끊임없이 창조할 것이다.;The desire of operating the convenient life by decorating the main space which is the base of the living environment individually and beautifully, in general, is searched for by everybody. The modern society is the age of new design's development constantly and it is the very meaningful study that we should develop the strong point and character of our own peculiar traditional patterns and the intention of creating the characteristic beauty which accord with the modern westernized life style and the modern feeling of life. Accordingly, this study chose the geometrical type which is orderly and correct out of the traditional patterns, and reorganized this adepuately and is aimed at expressing the practical dyeling work of art. For this object, the study of traditional life patterns was made through the literature and theses and re-organizes the characteristic design and made the bedcover which is usualy used in bedroom, pillow, cushion, wall tapestry, etc. and the below result was brought in the precess of analyzing the above works. First, making the practical items which designed the geometrical type with our traditional character is not only the social tendency of ours in which we want to resurrect our old thing but also it is much desirable in accordance with the current of the world in which we want to search for tradition. Second, our intention of trying to make the utilization of utility with the character of art in the works of art can attract the response of the mass and satisfy the anticipation and the utilization of dyeing handicraft is the important work. Third, the creatavity which the dyeing handicraft is reflected to the industry, and we should realize the productive handicraft of the dyeing practical items. For the above purpose, the designers have to act an act of consciousness and the positive fostering of development of dyeing practical items should be backuped with the fine recognition of the industrialists. And, with the correct recognition of our culture, the constant efforts should be made in the development of the dyeing practical itesm and the development which utilized thereof should be closer to life and exchanged and will create the beauty which becomes the more beautiful as time goes by.
