통신언어 순화 시스템 설계 및 구현

Abstract

통신 공간에서 의사소통이 이루어지는 것은 일반직인 의사소통이 이루어지는 상황과 달리 가상 공간이라는 새로운 공간에서 언어 현상이 발생하므로 이곳만의 독특한 언어 현상이 나타나게 되고, 새로운 말이 생성, 변화, 소멸하게 된다. 그러나 언어란 사람과 사람 사이에서 의사소통이 제일의 구실인데, 세대간·계층간에 서로 의사가 소통하지 않는 언어가 존재한다는 것은 문제가 많다. 더욱이 학생들 사이에는 대화방에서 사용하던 채팅 언어를 일상 생활에서까지 사용하는 경우까지 있다. 곱고 아름다운 말을 사용하자는 것은 언어가 사람들의 정신 세계에 끼치는 영향력을 생각하고, 민족의 건전한 세계관을 형성시키기 위한 운동이라고 생각한다면, 지금 펼쳐지고 있는 통신언어의 난무 혹은 일상언어화는 분명히 문제가 있다. 하지만 통신상에서 이루어지는 통신언어 자제를 강제적으로 금할 수도 없고, 한글 파괴를 조장하는 내용들을 모두 필터링 할 수도 없는 입장이라면 통신언어를 국어교육의 범주에 포함시켜 바람직한 방향으로 교육시켜서, 일상의 언어 생활에 부정적인 영향을 줄일 수 있도록 노력해야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 사이버공간에서 채팅을 하면서 통신언어를 사용할 때 불량통신언어를 사용하면 올바른 국어 표현으로 알려줌으로써 국어 순화가 자연스럽게 되는 시스템을 구현하는 것이다. 즉 채팅을 하는 중에 불량통신언어를 사용할 경우 불량통신언어DB와 연동해서 올바른 표현을 알려주는 것이다. 또한 불량통신언어가 있는 대화글은 받아쓰기문제DB로 자동 저장되어 받아쓰기 문제로 제공되어 학습이 가능하도록 하였다. 그 방법으로 첫째, 채팅 환경에서의 대화글에 대해 불량통신언어를 검색하는 기능을 두어 올바른 표현을 제공하였고 둘째, 불량통신언어가 들어간 대화 글은 자동적으로 받아쓰기 문제DB에 저장되어 받아쓰기 문제를 학습하는 학습 시스템을 제공하였다. 본 논문에서 설계 및 구현한 학습 시스템의 교육적 효과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사이버공간에서 채팅을 하면서 통신언어를 사용할 때 불량통신언어를 사용하면 올바른 국어 표현으로 알려줌으로써 국어 순화가 자연스럽게 되는 효과가 있다. 이는 우리말을 활용하는 능력까지 향상되는 효과까지 있을 것이다. 그러나 통제가 너무 심하거나 적절하지 못하면 사용자의 참여를 막는 역효과가 나타날 수 있으므로 자연스럽게 알려줄 수 있는 환경을 제공하는 것이 교육 효과를 더욱 극대화시킬 수 있을 것이다. 둘째, 올바른 국어 표현을 알려주므로 자연스럽게 올바른 언어 습관이 습득되므로 현재 사이버공간에서 심각하게 일어나고 있는 언어폭력 등을 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 또 올바른 언어는 정신세계까지 영향을 미치므로 나아가 사이버 공간에서의 통신 예절을 배울 수 있을 것이다.;As the communication in the cyberspace is different from that in the real world, totally new languages are born, changed, and disappeared in the cyberspace. However, although language plays an important role in communication, the existence of distorted computer slang among generations and classes causes lots of problems. In addition, young people use computer slang in real life. If computer slang prevails in real life, a lot of problems will happen from the view that language one should use control ones mind. However, as a matter of fact, it is very difficult to ban the use of computer slang and prevent its inappropriate use. So, we should try the computer jargon to be used correctly and lower any possibility to make negative effects on our life. It is obvious that we need an educational program for our young people who use the computer slang in the education of Korean language. The aim of this study is to design and implement a learning system to purify contaminated Korean language by computer jargon. In other words, if improper words are used in the cyberspace, the correction program will work automatically and the wrong words will be stored into the poor computer slang database to be turned to proper expressions. The correction program has several functions. First, it can search poor computer slang in the cyberspace and suggest proper expressions. Second, the poor computer slang is stored automatically into the database for dictation and also is used for the dictation study system. The benefits of this system are as follows. 1. This system helps students to purify contaminated Korean language by notifying the inappropriate computer slang in chatting. 2. This system reduces language violence and guides into proper communication manner in the cyberspace.
