주거공간을 위한 직물벽지 디자인 연구

Abstract

현대의 사회구조와 생활방식이 변천함에 따라 주거공간은 인간의 휴식과 편리함을 제공하는 기능으로 인식되고, 그 중요성이 더욱 증대되고 있다. 인구의 급격한 증가와 산업의 발달로 인한 도시화, 주택부족, 환경의 오염 등은 인간생활에 있어서 보다 가까운 환경인 실내공간의 위생은 물론, 공간활용의 극대화와 실내디자인에 대한 관심을 고조시켜왔다. 주거환경은 그 속에 서 생활하는 구성원간의 상호작용은 물론, 개개인의 삶에 많은 영향을 끼치기 때문이다. 오늘날 주거환경은 신체보호와 생리적 활동을 위한 기본적인 욕구충족의 장소일 뿐만 아니라, 기능적이고 합리적이며 쾌적한 공간이어야 하며, 더 나아가서 거주자의 개성이 표현된 아름다운 공간이어야 한다. 인테리어 텍스타일 (Interior textile)이 토탈 인테리어(Total interior) 디자인에 있어서 새롭게 인식되어지고있으며, 전체적 ·부분적 분위기의 적절한 연출을 우리의 생활에 밀접한 관계를 가짐은 물론 정신적 생활에도 영향을 준다. 벽지는 실내에서 분위기를 결정하는 주조적(主調的)인 역할을 하며, 이에 맞추어 부분적 분위기의 연출이 가미(加味)된다. 국내 벽지시장의 경우 직물벽지의 경향은 선진국의 라이센스 브랜드(Licence brand)도입과 무분별한 디자인 복제도 행해지고 있으며, 독자적인 직물벽지디자인 전문업체가 부족한 실정이다. 이제는 이러한 양상에서 벗어나 21세기를 준비하는 현시대에 대응하는 품격 높은 벽지디자인이 절실히 요구된다. 이에 실내 공간에 질적인 향상과 다변화를 가져오고 개인의 기호에 맞는 개성적인 이미지를 연출하여 보다 아름답고 풍요로운 삶을 영위하는데 부합하는 벽지디자인의 개선방향으로 본 연구자는 다양한 직물표현을 연구하는데 목적을 두었다. 본 논문에서는 현대 주거환경의 획일화와 단일함을 극복하기 위하여 오픈(open)구조를 가진 르노(Leno)직을 응용하여 배접지와의 조화에서 오는 중첩 효과로서 다양하며 개성적인 공간연출을 위한 벽지디자인을 제시하였다 소재로는 면사, 마사의 천연소재로부터 야광비닐, 반사비닐 등의 첨단소재에 이르는 다양한 소재를 제시하여 영세한 벽지시장에 대응하는 시도를 보였다. 이와 같은 벽지디자인 제작은 현대인이 추구하는 편안한 휴식처로서의 주거공간과 획일화된 현대사회의 구조적인 요소, 다가오는 밀레니엄 시대를 대비하는 미래적인 이미지로서 표현하였다.;As modem society structure and lifestyle changed, housing space is recognized as the function of providing relaxation and expediency, and its importance is increasing. Urbanization, house famine, and pollution caused by over population with rapid industrialization made people to become interested in the maximization of space and interior design as well as sanitation in the space. It is because housing environment greatly affects interactions between people and individual life. Today's housing environment should be a basic space of satisfying desire for body protection and physiological activities, in addition to functional, reasonable, and pleasant space. It should also be an unique place in expressing resident's individuality. Textile design is newly recognized as a concept of total interior design, and proper presentation of total or partial mood is closely related to OUT life and it also affects OUT mental life. Wallpaper plays a major role in determining interior mood, and presenting partial mood is added. However, in case of domestic wallpaper market, developed country's licence brand for textile wallpaper is being introduced and indiscreet reproduction of design is being done. On these circumstances, there are not enough original textile wallpaper design companies. To overcome the situation, we should have high quality wallpaper design for the 21st century. Hereby, to bring diversity and quality improvement in interior spacing and to express individualistic taste properly for enrich human life, this paper has a purpose of studying various textile expressions. Ths paper suggests wallpaper design for variety of individualistic space presentations applying open-framed leno structure piled up with paper for overlapping effects. It is to overcome the uniformed and simplified today's housing environment. For materials, various mediums from natural (cotton and linen) to advanced (glow-in-the-dark vinyl and reflecting vinyl) are used to cope with the poor domestic wallpaper market. The wallpaper samples are characterized into three parts - first for comfortable resting place that people pursue, second as structural element for standardized modern society, and third, futuristic image preparing for the new millenium. I hope this paper will develop diversity in textile wallpaper design market, and give an opportunity of satisfying human desires for beauty with functionality delivering rich ambiance.
