도심지 건물군 사이의 매개공간 디자인 모형사례연구

Abstract

여러 가지 다양한 기능이 밀집 분화되어 있는 도시환경은 다양한 시민의 요구를 서비스하는 공공환경의 의미를 갖는다. 그러나 오늘날의 도시환경은 급속한 산업 사회지향의 발전형태에 따른 도시화의 과정으로 인하여 미적ㆍ인간적 측면에서 볼 때 질적 환경이 날로 악화되고 있으며, 정보화와 첨단 산업의 발달로 인하여 인간적인 접근이 이루어지지 않음으로써 인간소외 현상이 심화되어 정신적 심리적 거리감이 커지고 삭막해져 가고 있다. 이러한 도시 환경적인 여건 하에서 건물군 사이의 매개공간은 하나의 기능적 공간으로서가 아니라 건물을 배치시킨 결과로서 잉여공간으로 인식되기도 하고 그늘로 드리워져 쓸모 없는 공간으로 버려져 있는 예가 많다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 매개공간을 디자인함에 있어서 인간 행태학적 접근 방법에 기초하여 인간 행태적 특성을 지원하고 조절할 수 있는 적극적인 행태 장치물을 창출함으로써 보다 올바른 지원이 이루어지도록 하였다. 본 연구는 도심지에 정서적 만족을 줄 수 있는 매개공간의 중요성 강조하는 측면과 매개공간을 도시 활성화 매체로서 환경과 인간, 인간의 커뮤니케이션을 촉진시키는 측면에서 그 의미를 찾을 수 있다. 그리고 행태 분석을 통한 자료를 바탕으로 이용자 중심의 적극적 공간 제시를 목적에 두고 다음과 같은 과정으로 진행하였다. 1. 자료, 문헌조사 방법을 통하여 매개공간에 대한 일반적인 개념을 설명함으로써 그 중요성을 인식하고 도시 환경 내 매개공간의 유형을 살펴보았다. 이로써 매개공간이 도시환경에 있어서 중요한 요소 중 하나이며 도심지내의 문제점에 대한 현실적인 해결방안임을 밝혀 연구의 타당성을 제시하였다. 2. 인간 행태에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통해 매개공간 안에서의 인간의 행태와 행태장치 유형을 살펴봄으로써 인간 행태학적 특성을 지원하고 조절할 수 있는 디자인 특성을 제시하였다. 3. 직접 방문 조사한 국내ㆍ외 매개공간을 인간 행태학적 관점에서 분석함으로써 디자인 문제해결을 위한 근거로 하였다. 4. 대상지의 현황분석과 디자인 적용사례를 통해 디자인 방향을 제시하는 기초를 마련하고 위의 이론적 틀을 바탕으로 도출된 개념언어와 형태언어를 중심으로 매개공간을 상호작용을 활성화하는 장으로서 디자인을 전개하였다. 위와 같은 연구 결과 심각해져 가는 도시 문제를 해결하는 방안의 하나로서 매개공간의 활용은 도시민에게 다양한 행태를 지원하고 정서적 만족을 줄 수 있는 환경을 제공함을 재인식할 수 있었다. 인간과 환경의 상호작용에 중점을 두는 인간 행태학적 연구방법의 필요성을 강조하고, 이에 따른 매개공간 디자인을 통해 환경의 질, 즉 인간 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있다는 측면에서 이 연구의 가치와 의미가 있다고 판단된다.;From the rapid industrial developments and these days, urban areas serve various functions for its citizens needs, and these functions are being diversified. For that reason, the urban area is an environmental for the public Rapid industrialization had brought to speed up urbanization, the environment in which the human species live in has degraded, especially in term of aesthetics. In addition, due to the technological advancement and informatization, the environment has become more and more neglected by the human beings. In propotion to the psychological gap is widening, the urban environment has been more devastated. In accordance with these circumstances, the intermediate space between buildings are more likely to be shadow cast useless space or surplus space between buildings. Therefore, in order for these spaces to be actively used as space in which affordance of human behavior could possible, behavioral settings have been created. The creation of behavioral settings aims to resolve design related problems and to provide appropriate affordance. These settings were created on the ground of analytical and scientific research. This paper concerns about the importance of the intermediate space in urban areas. Effective use of intermediate spaces could provide psycological content to the people. In other words, the intermediate space could save as a bridge connecting the environment with people and concerning people with other people. Therefore, intermediate space design could facilitate communication among people. The researchers were conducted under the principles mentioned above, on the basis of behavioral analysis. The academic purpose of the research was to come up with the user-oriented active space model. The procedure were as follows. 1. To look at the current situation and problems of intermediate design, the general concept of intermediate space design was explained based on paper research and back material. Through this research, the importance of intermediate design became even more obvious. It is proven through this research that the intermediate space is the determining factor of a city's image, and also that this space could provide solutions to urban problems. Therefore, the choice of this research object could be reckoned appropriate. 2. Design characteristics were looked at through objective researches on theoretical study on human behavior to understand intermediate space. 3. As means to provide solution to design related problems, behavior and affordance material were categorized according to the components of the intermediate space. 4. The basis for the future design could be provided through behavioral analysis and design application examples. The design was conducted against this backup, within the framework of behavioral language. The intermediate space was seen as a facilitating for human interactions. In conclusion, it is clear that as a way of solving urban problems, pedestrian-oriented intermediate space development is imperative. Securing intermediate space can give emotional content to people. This research put priority on life of the human beings. Intermediate space is crucial in enhancing the quality of life. Therefore, research on intermediate space design is imperative.
