자연美의 인식을 통한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

현대에 들어와서 인간은 물질적 풍요와 문화의 즐거움이 충만된 사회를 맞이하였다. 그러나, 최근 나날이 황폐해져 가고 있는 지구 환경을 더 이상 방치할 수 없다는 절박한 인식 아래, 인류는 자연에 관심을 갖게 되었고, 지구 환경을 보호하자는 움직임이 전세계적으로 일었다. 인간은 자연과 더불어 생활한다. 자연의 일부로 태어난 인간은 계속되는 자연의 순환 속에서 자신의 감동을 표현하고 싶은 충동을 형태로서 영원히 정착하게 하고 싶어한다. 복식은 그 시대의 미적 기준을 바탕으로, 그 당시 특유의 형태가 창조되어지기 때문에 환경의 흐름을 단적으로 표현하고, 문화의 단면을 나타내는데는 선두적이며, 의미 있는 문화 현상이다. 그리하여 '복식의 자연주의'라 함은, 자연을 찬미하고, 자연과 동화되려는 사고로서 인간성 회복의 의지이고, 깨끗한 자연을 향한 관심과 기대이다. 연구목적은 새로운 소재표현의 제시로서, 자연 실물을 이용한 코팅 (Coating) 기법으로, 열가소성 폴리 우레탄 (T.P.U) 과 원단의 합지를 통한 소재표현과 그에 적합한 의상디자인의 개발에 있다. 연구의 이론적 배경으로는 자연에서의 미(美)의 추구와 자연과 인간의 조화에 대해 알아보고 복식디자인에 나타난 자연주의의 흐름에서는 '시대별 흐름'과 '테마별 전개방향'을 살피고, 이를 바탕으로 현대복식 디자인계에서 보여지는 자연주의적 표현을 구체적으로 소재와 관련시켜 '은유적 표현'과 '직접적 표현'으로 나누어 분석했다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자연주의적 소재개발에 중점을 두고, 실물의상으로 총 여덟작품이 제작되었는데, 디자인의 발상은 수분을 배제한 자연실물을 모티브로 삼아, 동.식물의 어느 일부분이 접착된 우레탄 접합포가 주소재이고, 부분적으로는 주소재와 조화를 이룰 수 있는 직물소재를 사용하였다. 아이템은 실용화 단계를 염두에 두었기 때문에 단순한 투피스와 앙상블, 그리고 원피스로 구성하였다. 따라서 과거의 인위적이고 구조적인 형태에서 벗어나고 자연스런 흐름과 표현을 기본으로 하고 자연의 생명력에 대한 향수와 생동감있는 미의 재현을 표현하고자 하는 의도를 가진다. 본 연구에서 작품제작을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 복식은 그 시대의 사회문화의 한 단면을 표출하는 수단으로 인간의 내적 이미지의 세계를 표현하는 예술과 관계가 있어서, 언어적 개념의 중개 없이 표현하고자 하는 사상을 눈으로 보고 느끼게 하는 암시효과를 기대할 수 있다. 이에 따라 제시되는 의상이 자연의 영감에 원천을 두고 표현되는 구체적 이미지의 제시가 자연美에 대한 인식전환을 유도하는 전달매체로써, 역할이 중요하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 복식은 디자인에 있어서, 자연적 모티브의 도입이 이미 사용되었던 염색이나 퀼팅 등 기존의 표현방법을 취하지 않고서도 자연의 형태를 그대로 보존하고 자연미를 그대로 나타내게 하기 위해서 테라스틱 폴리우레탄(T.P.U)접착가공법이 가능했다. 셋째, 확대된 자연과 자연의 생명력은, 첨단 기술의 이미지가 두드러지고 색다르게 가공된 원단과 단순한 실루엣으로 제작하여 복식재료의 한계를 극복함은 물론, 그에 알맞는 새로운 스타일을 제안할 수 있었다. 넷째, 자연실물은 본 연구에서 사용한 것 이외에 그 종류가 다양하여, 모티브의 탐구와 기법의 개발을 통해 무한한 디자인 개발의 가능성을 안고 있는 표현요소임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 자연소재를 사용하였지만, 형태보존에 어려움이 있었고 산업체의 협력을 통해서만 가능했기 때문에, 자연주의적 이미지 제시와 복식 디자인의 시각화에 그칠 수밖에 없었다. 후속연구로서 다양한 소재 및 디자인 개발이 계속되기를 바란다.;Human beings in modern times have societyh fulfilled with material richness and cultural pleasure. However, under the consciousness that our environment ruined day by day should not be left alone, movements for the protection of teh earth are occuring all over the world Dress and its ornament are a meaningful cultural phenomenon to show the aspects of culture, and express the flow of environment because their unique style of each time are created based on the aesthtic standards of that time Therefore, 'Naturalism of dress and its ornaments' means will power to revive humanity as an idea to praise nature and assimilate with it, and interest and expectation to make clean environment. Its real movement started to rise in mid 1980s. and it is still continuing through image changes by various expression and materials. The pourpose of this study is to develop clothing design suitable for the expression of materials such as T.P.V. and the combination of raw materials with coating technique using a natural object, as the expression of a new material As a theoretical background, I took specific examples of 'movements for the protection of environment' occurring in design fields and recognizing the seriousness of environmental problems. I also examined the periodic flow and theme development of naturalism in dress and its ornaments, and analyzed 'metaphorical expression' and 'direct expression' divided by naturalistic expression in modern dress and its ornaments design In this study, to total reeal clothes, focused on the development of naturalistic material, were produced, and a design motive is a natural object excluding humidity, composed of Poly Urethane attached by the parts of animals or plants, and partly wooven material which can harmonize with major material An item was made up of two piece suits, ensemble, and one piece suits considering a praticalizing process. Accordingly, this production is intended to express the memory of natural vitality based on natural flow and expression, doing away with the past's artifical, structural form. The results of this study are as follows. First, dress and its ornaments are a way of expressing the inside image of human beings and related to an art expressing image world, so we can expect effect to make us see, feel thoughts without the intervention of linguistic concept from it. Followingly, we can see suggesting specific image expressed on the basis of the recognition on the crisis of environment and natural inspiration can play an important role as a delivering medium to induce thetransition of thoughts on natural environment Second, dress and its ornaments have been expressed in various wags. Extended nature and its vitality made it possible to suggest a new style as well as overcome the limits of materials in dress and its ornaments by embossing the image of science and technology, and producing differently processed raw materials with simple silhouette Third, I used a natural object after removing humidity, which is diferent from modern city's artificial environment, and it contains the possibility of extending images, developing a new material, through the various development of motives and the exploration of skills. A natural object was used in this study, but it was difficult to preserve its original form because it was only possible by the coorporation of industries. so it was limited to the suggestion of naturalistic image and the visualization of dress and its ornaments design. There were several studies related to this before, but I hope the development of more various materials which do not ruin nature and its specific suggestion will be made in the future.
