Statistical Charts Based On Map Data

Abstract

본 논문에서는 국내 교통사고 자료를 기초로 통계 데이터를 단순히 수치로 제시하는 것이 아니라 시각적으로 제시하는 그래프 중 GIS분야에서 많이 사용하는 지도 데이터를 활용하는 여러 기법들을 소개하였다. 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이 지도 그래프는 복잡한 통계 데이터를 시각적으로 표현하는데 아주 효과적인 수단이다. 그리고 지도 데이터를 이용하여 지역별 교통사고 자료를 일목요연하게 표현하는 것이 가능했다. 이러한 그래프 기법들의 확산에 일조 하고자 부록으로 모든 그래프들에 대한 프로그램 코드들을 수록하였다.;This Thesis summaries various methods of drawing several kinds of technical charts by utilizing map data built in SAS/GRAPH. The map data is much used and useful particularly in the GIS field, but its usage seems to be rather limited since most field users in Korea do not know how to utilize procedures related to the map data in SAS/GRAPH. In this regard we suggest some ideas of utilizing the map data in SAS/GRAPH through case analyses.
