한글의 새로운 조형성을 바탕으로 한 이미지 표현 연구

Abstract

오늘날의 국제경제 환경은 매우 급속하게 변해가고 있고, 이러한 시대의 변화는 한국의 정체성과 한국 이미지의 정립을 요구하고 있다 문화적 요소가 가지고 있는 조형성을 국가 이미지 제정을 위해 현대적으로 해석하기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 우리의 전통적인 미의 특질을 올바로 이해하기 위해서는 한국미에 대한 연구가 먼저 이루어져야 할 것이다. 우리 전통을 과거의 것으로만 묶어두어 전통의 흐름을 억압함으로서 새로운 이미지 개발을 늦추고 있다. 따라서 한국미에 대한 다양하고, 폭 넓은 해석과 연구 과정을 통해 본질적인 전통의 의미를 찾고, 현재의 관점에서 새로운 한국 이미지 구축과 그에 맞추어 발전시킨 연구가 필요한 시기이다. 한국은 국가의 문화 이미지가 국제적으로 형성되어 있지는 못하다. 우리는 과거의 전통문화가 우수하고 독창적이며 아름답다고 외치면서 지금의 한국을 이미지화 하는데 관심이나 노력을 기울이지 않았다. 프랑스 문명비평가 기 소르망(Guy Sorman)은 "한국은 국제 사회에 그 독특한 이미지가 없다" 라고 말하듯이 국제사회는 이미지가 중요한 사회이다. 이런 국제사회에서 한 나라의 이미지 창출은 무엇보다 중요한 것이다. 이미지는 만들어진다. 인간은 이미지에 따라 움직이며 이미지가 없는 대상에 대해서는 어떤 행동도 하려고 하지 않는다. 우리의 경우는 지금부터 그 이미지를 개발하고 발전시켜야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 한국미를 바탕으로 한국 이미지 제정을 위한 시각적 표현에 관한 것으로 우리의 한글을 통하여, 이를 조형적으로 재해석하여 표현하는 작업을 제시하였다. 한글의 사용은 인간의 생각을 전달하는 매개체로서 인간의 사회적 역할을 수행하는 것에 중요한 요인이 되었다. 즉 인간은 언어라는 소통 수단을 통하여 사회적 동물이 될 수 있다 한글의 사용은 기록을 통하여 사회발전을 가져다주었고, 우리민족을 하나로 묶어주는 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 것이다. 우리에게 한글의 사용은 타민족과 구별되는 독자적인 상징의 사용을 의미하며, 본질적으로는 과거와 현재, 미래를 이어주는 지적 수단인 것이다 사람들은 한글을 보았을 때 글자가 가지고 있는 실용적인 면도 중요하지만, 본 연구에는 무엇보다도 한글의 의미를 찾는 것이 아니라 한글이 가지는 조형적인 아름다움을 바탕으로 하여 현대적으로 재해석하여 이미지를 표현하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 한글은 의사소통의 수단일 뿐만 아니라 한국의 이미지를 확립할 수 있는 중요한 요소임을 발견하게 되었다. 오늘날 세계화 속에 한국 이미지 구축을 위한 시도를 한글을 통하여 독특한 조형성을 형성하고자 한다. 전통문화 속에 존재하는 것을 선택하여 표출시켜 돋보이게 하는 이미지구축을 위한 노력이었다. 이상의 연구를 통하여 다음과 같은 내용을 추출하였다. 첫째, 한글은 우리민족의 정신문화를 내포하고 있어 이를 표현함으로 문화적 정체성의 결속을 추구하였다. 둘째, 한글을 통하여 한국미를 시각화시킴으로 국가 이미지 상승을 기대해 본다. 보는 사람으로 하여금 새로운 형식의 한국의 아름다움을 느낀 수 있게 표현한다. 우리 문화유산을 통해 우리문화의 특질과 개성, 조형성을 재발견하고 이를 기본으로 새로운 한국 이미지를 창조하는 작업이다.;Rapidly changing of the international and economical environments is required of new phase of Korea image. The efforts for interpreting the formative arts of cultural elements are necessary for new establishment of national image. The image of a country is strongly related to the character of local people and natural features of that country. To understand traditional characteristics of Korean arts, the study of the primary factors such as natural features, phenomenon and style of living should be taken ahead as those have been the shape of Korea arts. The pressures that restrict the traditional movement flow under the past history are slowing the development of new image of Korea arts. The intrinsic meaning of Korea tradition should be recovered by the study of various Korea traditions and its interpretation. The study of Korea image is required to the new reestablishment of Korea image in current days. As this is for the establishment of Korea image in the visual expression, the discovery of new motive in Korean culture and its modeling operations in visual reinterpretation are introduced in this study. In the process of modernization and visualization, the art of Hangeul itself is sensed and the beauty of formative arts is discovered. The use of Korean is caused to conduct social role between members and among people as the instrument to deliver humans thought. Human can be the social animal through the communication instrument called language. The use of Korean and its recording has developed Korean society and taken the important role of binding Korea culture. In our culture, the use of Korean means the use of a symbol of our nation. Intrinsically, Korean is an intellectual means to connect the past, the present and the future. Although people regard the practical use of Korean importantly, but in this study the formative arts of Hangeul is taken more importantly. Korean is not only the communication instrument but also the important element to identify Korea image. The peculiar Hangeul made it possible to develop characteristic civilization and culture that is distinguished other countries. This study is focused on not to find the meaning of Korean letters but to present and reinterpret the formative arts of beautiful Hangeul in modern style. The attempt of reestablishment of Korean image by the Hangeul might constitute peculiar Korea art in the international environments. This is for the study to select existing things in traditional culture of Korea and to represent them by the establishment of Korea image over the world. The primary contents of this study are followed. First, Hangeul contain spiritual culture of Korean emotion so that this I S to discuss the unity of cultural identity. Second, this is to enhance national image with the motive of formative elements of Hangeul in our culture by the visual form. It will let people feel the beauty of Hangeul in new style. Korean is not only the communication instrument but also the outcomes resulting the unity of Korea culture. This study is to rediscover the beauty and characteristics of Korea in the cultural inheritance and to recreate new Korea image. It attempts to develop peculiarly symbolized Korea image by the motive of Hangeul.
