정기간행물로서의 Webzine 디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

디지털 기술의 발달로 인한 매체융합으로 정보산업이 전반적으로 인쇄매체 중심의 전략에서 멀티미디어의 특징을 가진 영상 중심의 전략으로 전환되어가고 있고, Interactive의 성격을 가진 인터넷이 정보화 시대의 대표적인 매체로 자리잡아 가고 있다. 이러한 정보 사회로의 경제구조의 변화가 사회적으로 의식 구조와 가치체계 등을 변화 시켰고, Global Network화된 사회환경에서의 소비자의 민감하고 다양한 욕구와 소비자와의 효과적인 Communication을 위해 디자인 분야 또한 다양화, 정보화되어 가고 있다. 인터넷의 등장으로 인해 출판 분야에서도 종이인쇄과정의 프로세서가 불필요 하게 되고 일련의 디자인 프로세서가 컴퓨터 한대로서 해결 가능해 짐에 따라, 전자출판으로의 변화가 시작 되었으며, 인쇄매체에서 뚜렷하게 구분되어지던 편집 디자인의 세부 영역들은 인터넷의 영역 안에서 각각의 특징과 성격들이 통합화 되며 새로운 개념으로 자리 잡아 가고 있다. 본 논문은, 정보가 폭발적으로 증가해 가는 인터넷 상에서, 사용자와의 원할한 Communumation과 사용자 interface를 위해 시각디자인의 일반적 원칙을 적용시켜 효과적인 디자인 체계를 정립해 보고, 이를 바탕으로 인터넷 상에서 정기적으로 업데이트를 필요로 하는 정기간행물로서의 Webzine의 경우에서의 효과적인 디자인 방향을 모색해 보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 따라, update되는 web page들의 효과적이고 다양한 디자인 접근방법들을 연구하기 위해서, 사용자 인터페이스 개발에 필요한 기본적 원칙과 인쇄매체에서의 정기간행물의 편집디자인에서 적용시킬 수 있는 시각 디자인의 효율적인 기본 원칙들을 비교ㆍ분석해봄으로서 이들을 종합하여 최종적 모델을 제시한다. 본 디자인은 분석하여 종합한 디자인적 접근 방법을 적용한 실질적인 Website 디자인이다. 디자인 대상은 '여성신문 '이며, 디자인 목적은 잡지적 성격을 띄면서 신문의 이름으로 제공되고 있는 '여성신문'을 인터넷 상에서 Webzine에 적용시킴으로서, 신문과 같은 다양하고 깊이있는 주제와 정보전달의 목적을 가지면서 사용자들에게 편안하고 친숙한 Interface를 고려한 디자인적 요소들을 사용한 접근방법을 통해서 인터넷 사용에 부담을 느끼는 여성들에게 쉽고 친근하며, 지루하지 않은 Webzine을 제시하고, 또한 인터넷 상에 여성들의 활발한 여론의 장을 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은, Webzine에서의 효과적인 디자인은 작업 대상 program의 목적과 사용자의 특성을 먼저 파악하고 이에 맞는 디자인으로 Interface와 사용자 Navigation의 효과를 높이는 것이 중요하며, 이를 위해서는 사용자를 고려한 인터페이스의 일반 원칙에 사용자의 흥미를 불러 일으킬 수 있도록 편집디자인에 있어서의 기본적 시각디자인의 조직적이고 일관성 있는 원칙들을 적절히 응용하여 디자인해야 한다는 것이다. 아직 Webzine이라는 개념이 정립되어지지 않음으로 해서 새로운 개념으로 대치될 수도 있으므로 본 연구는 웹 상에서의 정기간행물 측면에서의 디자인의 연구이며, 초고속 정보고속도로가 형성되고 기술적 상황이 변화되어 감에 따라 인터넷 상에서의 interface의 방법은 전혀 다른 방향으로 변화 될 수 있으며 디자인 또한 그 변화에 따라 새로운 방향으로 시도되어야 한다.;Thanks to the Digital Technology Media integrating appears, Information industry usually changes from stategy of print-oriented paradigm to the stategy of multimedia-oriented paradigm, and Internet, having a interactive character, occupy an important position in the information age. These paradigm shift and trend to the more variable and complicated society changes the way of thinking and the way of life, under the global network design field prospers to communicate effectively users' variable desire and request. As the advert of internet the publishing world don't have to print out more paper product than any other before. While a single computer could do a good job, DTP concept emerged and developed. Detail Edit design parts was established as a new concept by intergrating each characteristics and personality in a internet. The purpose of this paper not only settle the sffective design system but also apply to the principle of visual design, to seek the best way to find out the periodical publications which needs periodical update in a information increased by geometric progression internet. Therefore, to research how to approch periodic updated web pages effectively, I proposed the final reference model by comparing and analysing the fundamental principle of the visual design which applied to the periodical webzine in the printing field. It is the web site design that I analyze and combined theory of design. My subject is "Woman's magazine" First, having a purpose like a general newspaper, applied to the magazine in the internet, Second thing, presented to the women, who are liable to hesitate and afraid of using internet, interesting and familiar webzine, Third, as a purpose, gathering and building up women's vigorous public opinions. Above it said, It's the most important factor in the webzine design that the designer should understanding then appropriate design can help forming user interface and easy nevigation. To get this goal Designer must adapt systemically and consistent principle under the user interface-oriented environment. Because webzine's concept is not established, it will be replaced by new concept. This paper will be testified in a new manner at a point of view that this research is the design research of the periodical magazine on the WWW. As Information Super Highway will be constructed and technology will advance, Nobody can predict how to implement interface. According to the degree of change, design field should be attempted new directions.
