Windows NT운영 체계를 중심으로 한 교실망 연구 및 활용 방안

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to make researches Windows NT-based classroom network, and to advance a proposal on it's practical use in school education. NetWare-based classroom network has been installed in many schools already, but it has been hardly utilized for school education. Because NetWare-based server does not serve as an application server to provide the effective teaching and learning. This stduy offered a new Windows NT-based classroom network and it's practical use in order to make up for the weak points in the current NetWare-based classroom network. The contents of this study are consist of four sections as follows; The first section discussed the features and functions of NetWare and Windows NT operating system. The second section compared Windows :NT with NetWare for architecture, file system, security, network management, and performance monitor. The third section surveyed the problems of current NetWare-based classroom network, and then proposed the server-sided practical use of Windows NT-based classroom network. The fourth section proposed the client-sided practical use of Windows NT-based classroom network through NetPC. The result of this study can improve the performance of school learning through the fast execution of CAI programs, secure maintenance of server, interaction with room-to-room or school-to-school, gateway for NetWare server, easy network management of TCP/IP, and remote access from home after school. And also, this study can improve the access method and time to internet server, and make learn the correct rules of etiquette for electronic mailing over world wide internet. Finally, this study can help to select the best client system to maximize the performance and utilization of classroom network server. Classroom network has not been utilized until now. It is my hope that this study will be able to improve the utilization of classroom network, and help for the effective school education.;본 연구의 목적은 Windows NT 운영 체제를 중심으로하여 교실망을 연구하고, 이를 통한 교실망의 활성화 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이미 네트웨어 운영 체제를 중심으로한 교실망이 여러 학교에 설치되어 있으나 실질적인 활용은 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이는 현 교실망 운영 체제가 시대에 맞는 교육을 하기 위한 응용프로그램 서버로서 적합하지 않기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 Windows NT 운영 체제를 중심으로한 교실망 활용을 통해 효율적인 학교 교육에 기여할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구의 내용은 다음과 같이 구성된다. 첫째, 교실망 및 Windows NT 운영 체제의 특성과 기능을 각각 살펴보았다. 둘째, 이 두 운영 체제를 내부구조, 파일 시스템, 보안 체계, 네트워크 관리, 그리고 성능 모니터의 다섯가지로 나누어 비교하였다. 셋째, 네트웨어 운영 체제를 중심으로한 현 교실망의 문제점을 조사하여 분석한 후, Windows NT 운영 체제를 중심으로한 서버 측면에서의 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 넷째, 클라이언트 측면에서 Network PC (NetPC)를 활용한 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 학교에서의 학교에서의 학습 성과를 향상시킬 수 있는데, 이는 CAI 프로그램의 신속한 수행, 서버에 대한 안전한 유지보수, 교실간 및 학교간 상호작용, 네트웨어 서버와의 게이트웨이, 손쉬운 TCP/IP 네트워크 관리, 그리고 방과 후 원격 접근 등을 통해 가능하다. 또한 이 연구는 인테넷으로의 접근 방법과 속도를 개선할 수 있고, 전 세계 인터넷상에서 전자우편 송수신에 대한 올바른 예의 범절을 학습할 수 있게 한다. 마지막으로, 교실망 서버의 성능과 활용을 극대화 시킬 수 있는 최상의 클라이언트 시스템을 선택하도록 도와준다. 현재 교실망이 아직 활성화되지 않은 시점에서, 본 연구가 교실망의 활용도를 높이고 효과적인 학교 교육에 도움이 되리라 기대한다.
