생태주의적 접근에 의한 실내환경디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대 과학과 기술 발전에 이념적 힘과 방법을 제공하여 물질적 풍요를 가져오게한 근세 17세기 이후의 기계론적 자연관은 지구의 자연적 질서에 치명적인 손상을 가져오게 하였다. 이 기계론적 자연관의 근본적인 한계를 인정하고 이에 대한 자각으로 대두된 전일적이고 생태적인 세계관은 지구 생태계가 더 이상의 균형을 잃기 전에 새로운 균형으로의 전환에 필요한 사고이다. 전체를 시스템적으로 보고 부단히 변화하는 역동성을 인정하는 생태적 세계관에서는 인간이 궁극적으로 환경과 함께 상호작용하며 조화를 이뤄 진화한다고 본다. 자연이 가지고 있는 본래의 가치, 체계를 밝혀 인간의 가치 및 체계와 조화를 이룰 수 있는 종합적이고 합리적인 접근 방법이 생태적인 방법이다. 자연 복종이나 자연 거부, 원형 복구 만이 아닌 생태적 접근으로 자연과 더불어 조화를 이뤄 인간의 환경을 더욱 효과적으로 개선할 수 있을 것이다. 기계론적 자연관의 발달이 이끈 산업혁명과 도시 인구의 증가는 도시의 양적 팽창을 가져오게 되었고 그로 인한 자연 요소의 감소는 도시 환경의 문제점이 되었다. 제한된 토지의 이용으로 인한 자연 녹지의 감소와 건물 내에서 대부분의 시간을 보내는 현대인들의 생활 형태는 일반 대중이 많이 모이는 실내 장소에 정원적 요소를 도입하게 하고 있다. 단순한 화단 정도에서 이제는 주변 공간의 초점 같은 역할을 하며 사람들의 이용과 동선을 유도하는 거의 공원적 기능을 갖는 공간으로 정착되어 가고 있다. 생태주의적 접근에 의해 시대적, 사회적 요구에 부응한 실내환경디자인을 계획함에 있어 녹지 공간 역시 동일한 방법으로 공간적으로 조절될 수 있으며 실내조경을 위하여 다양한 디자인 원리들이 적용될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 올바른 생태적 세계관에 입각한 환경에 대한 재인식을 통해 생태주의적인 개념과 실내조경과의 관련성을 고찰하고 자연의 질서 및 인간의 사회적, 개인적 가치에 부응할 수 있는 생태적인 실내조경 계획 과정을 정립하고자한다. 최종적으로 환경의 질과 미적 가치에 부합되는 생태적인 실내환경디자인 사례를 제시하는데 그 의의가 있으며, 크게 다음과 같은 방법을 통해 본 연구를 진행하였다. 첫째, 생태학에 대한 일반적인 고찰로 생태학의 정의 및 특성을 알아보고 생태주의의 발전 과정을 통해 생태주의의 대두 및 그 전개 과정과 적용을 고찰하였다. 둘째, 실내조경의 출현 배경을 알아보기 위해 실내조경의 개념과 역사를 살펴보고 일반적인 실내조경의 기능과 역할을 고찰하였다. 셋째, 이러한 실내조경에 대한 전반적인 검토와 더불어 식물 생태적 접근에 의한 실내조경을 위해 식물생태학의 개념을 고찰하고 특히, 실내환경에서의 식물생태를 연구하여 이러한 환경에 적합한 식재 식물의 종류 및 특성을 알아보았다. 넷째, 디자인 연구를 위해 환경에서의 인간생태와 생태주의적 관점에 의한 건축공간을 고찰하고 생태적 조경디자인 단계와 그 구성 원리를 연구하여 디자인을 위한 방법론으로 차용하였다. 다섯째, 이상에서 연구한 내용을 바탕으로 생태학습장을 디자인하는데 있어 디자인 전제와 프로그래밍 단계, 디자인 단계로 나누어 생태적인 디자인 모형 사례를 제시하였다. 여섯째, 시각화된 디자인 사례의 결과에 대한 종합 및 평가를 통해 본 연구의 타당성을 밝히고 미비점을 보완하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과, 현대 인간 환경의 문제점을 근본적으로 인식하게 되고 이러한 환경의 개선 방법으로 생태적인 접근이 인간과 환경을 위한 가장 적합하고 안정적인 방법론임을 입증할 수 있었다. 또한 인간과 환경의 상호 유기적인 공생을 위한 환경디자인의 이론적 접근과 디자인 사례를 제시하였음에 그 의의를 둔다.;Since 17 century, the mechanical view of nature, which offered the ideological power and method to the modern science and to the technological development and then brought the material abundance, has brought the fatal damage to the natural order of the Earth Admitting and recognizing the fundamental limit of such a mechanical view of nature, there comes the whole-minded and ecological world-view which is necessary thought for the conversion to the new balance before the ecosystem of the Earth loses its balance any more. On the ecological world-view which looks the whole things as systematic and admits the incessant changes, human is considered to function with the environment mutually and to evolve in harmony with it. The ecological method is, the synthetic and reasonable approach which discovers the inherent value and system of the nature and makers them harmonious with those of humans. Not through obeisance to nature, rejection of nature, or recovery of the original form but through the harmony with nature based on the ecological approach, the human environment will be improved effectively. The Industrial Revolution and the increase of the urban population, which is induced by the mechanical view of nature, brought the quantitative growth of a city. And the decrease of the natural elements caused by that has become the problem of the urban environment. Because of the decrease of the natural green area caused by the use of limited ground and because of the living style of the modern people whose most time is spent in the inside of the buildings, garden elements are introduced in the interior places where many general publics are gathered. These garden elements are developed and settled from the simple flower beds to the places which play central roles of the around places and induce people's use and moving lines. On planning the interior environmental design which meets the sociological needs in these times based on the ecological approach, the green area can also be controlled by the same method, and various principles in designing can be applied to the interior landscape architecture. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relation between the ecological concept and the interior landscape architecture through the new understanding of environment based on the right ecological world-view and to establish the process of ecological interior landscape architecture design which meets the natural order and the sociological and individual value of a human. In the end, the meaning of this study lies in the fact that it proposes the example of ecological interior environmental design which meets the quality of environment and the value of beauty. And this study is organized as following procedures. First, it studies the definition and the characteristic of ecology and then investigates the advent of ecologism and the developmental process and application of it by recognizing the developmental process of ecologism. Second, in order to study the background of the advent of the interior landscape architecture, it studies the concept and the history of the interior landscape architecture and the general function and roles of it. Third, in addition to such a general view about the interior landscape architecture, it studies the concept of plant ecology for the interior landscape architecture. In particular, it studies the ecology of plant in the interior environment and investigates the kinds and characteristics of plants suitable for such a environment. Fourth, for the study of design, it studies the ecology of human and the architectural areas based on the ecological view and then borrows the study of stages of ecological landscape architecture design and the constructional principle of it as the method for the design. Fifth, based on the above studies, this paper suggests the ecological design example which divided into the design preliminary, the programming stages, and the designing stage for the designing of the ecological learning field. Sixth, it provides the synthesis and evaluation of the consequences of the visualized design example, which shows the validity of this study and compensates for the shortcoming of it. As a result of this study, we recognize the environmental problems that the modern humans faces and we proved that the ecological approach is the most suitable and the most stabilized method for the improvement of environment. Also, the meaning of this study is to propose the theological approach and design example of the environmental design for the commensal life of human and the environment.
