복제에 의한 인체의 이미지 표현 연구

Abstract

현대 미술은 장르가 점점 세분화되면서 동시에 탈 장르화 되고 있다. 모든 예술은 상호 의존적이라고 볼 때, 섬유 예술 또한 현대 미술과의 상호 작용 속에서 그 표현 영역을 넓혀 왔다고 볼 수 있다. 여기에서 본 연구자는 섬유 예술과 현대 미술을 구분짓지 않고 현대 예술이라는 큰 흐름 속에서 오늘날의 시대의 흐름을 파악하며, 섬유라는 재료를 조형의 수단으로서 사용하여 '복제에 의한 인체의 이미지'를 표현해 보고자 한다. 즉 현대의 예술을 복제 예술로 인식하여 그 특징과 그 한계를 살펴봄으로써 작품 제작에서 복제된 인체를 이미지화 하고 인간의 존엄성에 이의를 제기하여 독창성 있는 인체를 표현하고자 한다. 인체에 대한 내용적인 면에서의 이론적 배경에 대한 연구는 다음과 같다. · 예술의 역사 속에서 인체는 어떤 형상을 하고 있고 그 형상의 의의를 통해 오늘날의 예술의 흐름을 인식해 보고자 한다. · 오늘날의 예술을 복제 예술로 보며 복제 예술의 특징과 그 한계점에 대해 분석해 보고자 한다.(사진의 출현으로 인체는 복제되어지고 무비판적인 복제는 인간의 존엄성을 상실하는 결과를 낳는다.) · 인체를 직접적인 접촉보다는 시각 이미지를 통해 알게 된다는 오늘날의 이미지에 대한 이론과, 섬유와 인체에 대한 관계를 살펴보고자 한다. 다음으로 방법적인 면에서는 사진적 과정과 회화적 과정을 모두 포함하는 스크린 프린팅의 기법을 사용하여 반복과 중첩이라는 조형표현의 원리를 가지고 인체의 표현을 극대화하고자 한다. 즉 반복의 방법으로 형식적 패턴을 사용하여 기계적으로 복제함으로써 비인간화의 과정을 시각화함과 동시에 사진에 의해 복제되어진 여러 인체들의 단위 이미지 속에서 한 단위 이미지마다의 독창성을 함께 공존시키고자 한다. 하나의 단위 이미지는 전체의 구성 속에서 중첩되어진 공간 등으로 인하여 나름대로의 방법으로 존재하고 있다. 스크린 프린팅에서의 반복과 중첩 효과에 대한 연구는 다음과 같다. · 예술 속에서의 반복의 원리와 그 정서적 효과를 살펴보고자 한다. · 중첩의 개념 정의를 통해 공간감을 형성할 수 있고 새로운 조형미를 얻게 된다는 결과를 도출해 보고자 한다. 중첩 형태의 배치 방법을 통해 각기 다른 중첩의 효과를 분석해 보고자 한다. · 스크린 프린팅의 현대 대중 예술에서의 의의(대량 복제 생산이 가능하다)와 사진과 회화를 종합적으로 수용할 수 있다는 제작 과정상의 특징을 분석해 보고자 한다. 이러한 내용적 이론과 방법적 이론을 토대로 하여 작품을 제작하고 분석하여 현대 미술과 사회의 올바른 이해와 그 한계점을 비판해봄으로써 예술 제작의 표현 능력을 높힐 수 있고 아울러 섬유라는 재료를 통하여 섬유 예술 속에 효과적으로 표현함으로써 오늘날 섬유 예술의 표현의 한계성(이념의 결핍과 지나치게 재료와 방법론에 치우친 )을 조금이나마 극복해 보고자 하는데 그 의의가 있다. 앞으로도 인체라는 소재는 그 소재의 다양한 성격과 특성으로 인하여 끊임없는 관심의 대상이 될 것이며 인체가 그 시대의 사회, 문화, 예술 등을 표현함에 있어 조형 추구의 가능성이 많은 이유로 인하여 꾸준한 연구와 노력이 필요할 것이다.;The genre of Modem Art is becoming more subdivided and yet, at the same time it is escaping from the form of genre. Considering all arts are interdependent, fabric art has broadened its territory of expression in its interrelationship with modem art. From here, I would like to explain the trends of our time in the big current of modem art (assuming modern art includes fabric art) and the use of fibers as a means of moulding to express the 'Image of the Human body by duplication'. That is I would like to understand modem art as an art of duplication, and on that cognition, I will look into its characteristics and its limits. The work will help image the duplicated human body, and raise an objection to human dignity thus expressing the originality of the human body. The theory on the content side of human body will be explained by the following outline. · Examing how the human body has been expressed in the history of art, recognize today's trends of art by finding the meaning of those figures. · Assume today's art as a art of duplication and analyze its characteristics and limits. (The advent of photography made it possible to duplicate human body and unchecked duplication has brought about the loss of human dignity.) · Look into the theory on Image, and the relationship between the human body and fabrics. On the methodology side, fabric art uses Screen Printing technique(a technique that includes photographical and pictorial procedure) which has the requisite of a model form of expression which is repetition and reiteration, and with that it maximizes the expression of the human body. That is, by using a repetition method as a pattern and duplicating it mechanically, it visualizes the procedure of inhumanization. At the same time, each of the several units of images of the human body that has been duplicated by photography tried to coexist with the originality of each unit image. One unit image has its own way of existence inside the reiterated space of the whole form. The theory of screen printing's repetition and reiteration will proceed as follows. · The meaning of screen printing in modem pop art(eg. mass production of duplicated manufacture became possible) and analyze the characteristics of the production procedure that is capable of combining photography and art. · Look into the principle of repetition in art and its effect on emotion. · By defining the meaning of reiteration, it can form space and extract a conclusion that will give a new concept to formative arts. On the base's of content theory and methodical theory, by understanding modem art and society and criticizing its limits, we can increase the expressional ability of creation of art and also use fibers as a material in fabric art. It is in the overcoming of the limits in today's fabric art--the deficiency of ideology and too much dependence on material and methodology--that is significant. The human body with its variable characters and characteristics will keep on being a subject of interest and considering the fact that expression of the human body is the parameter of society, art and culture, it will need to be continually studied.
