Human beings exist in the providence of nature and Art has played an important part for connection between in human beings and nature. Artists have recognized orders and laws of nature to be harmonious and combined the inside world of themselves with entity of nature into the expression of a work of Art. Because human beings' concern and desire for nature is infinite, Men have continously been investigating ego in the orders and expressing deep impression obtained there. The purpose of this study in logical connection is to form the activity of vital power of coelenterates, the living things of water, such as coral, sea anemones, jellyfishes. In the connection between nature and art of the concept that everything in nature is composed of the beauty of hormony by the orders of nature and the hormonious beauty become the mother' s womb creating the beauty of Art the image of rthythm which continously changes through creation, extinction, circulation was studied and the theoretical back ground of the formation of rthythmical image of water lires was constructed by the general consideration of occean living things. Furthermore, this study on the various works formed by the researcher' s personality and subjective emotion through examples of works whose materials are occean living things has made a significant contribution to this production. In the process of designing works, In order to reinterpret subjectively the internal beauty of primary form of coelenterates, such as corai, sea anemones, jellyfishes, Coelenterates image is expressed through a series of processes of the subjectively applied simplification, deformation and decorative description. The process of developements which grow into design of works is presented by a picture. For producing works serving freedom in expression intended by the researcher techniques of altering thrown shapes, coiling and modeling ete. are employed concurrently. As clay stoneware clay which has excellent viscosity and low in contraction was used. As glaze for <Work Nos.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10> black glaze was sprayed and for coloring such black glaze was wiped. For the purpose of creathing effect of colorful image of coelenterates color engobe being produced through blending white engobe with 10% of fine stain and sprayed then for creating glazed surface transparent glaze was sprayed very thinly and then for creating overall effect of brightness and darkness as well as rich and stable atmosphere black glaze was sprayed to finish it. To express surface texture a t the time of casting for <Work Nor. 1, 3, 5, 7-2, and 10> proper effect of intaglio and relief was created and then at the time of application of glazing for <Work Nor. 2 and 9> demoisturing agent was applied then white mat glaze or ivory glaze sprayed and intended indentation effect was created. For firing work 1.5㎥ down draft gas stove was used for the first firing and firing lasted for 8 hours a t a peak temperature of 850 degree C and for second firing 0.5㎥ gas stove was used and firing lasted for 9 hours at a peak temperature of 1250 degree C. The concept that nature gives infinte inspirations and materials, and extends continous investigations and activies of production, most of all, the various, changable, and rthythmical configuration of coelenterates can be presented by an expression tives of vital power is recoqnized through this study. It is designed in furture studies to try on the creative researches and methods, and to give an occasion of opening the new world of modeling. Furthermore, this study will be a help in the formation of water living things in furture studies is convinced.-
