감상을 통한 중학교 2학원 학생의 현대음악 접근 방안

본 논문의 목적은 음악감상을 단지 듣는 청취수준이 아니라 창조적인 경험위주의 감상학습이 되도록 하기 위해 그 개선 방안으로 현대음악에 의한

감상학습 지도안의 모형을 제시하는 것이다. 이 감상학습 지도안을 교육자들이 실제 학습 현장에 활용함으로써 모든 영역간의 통합이 가능하고 활

발하게 이루어져 학생들을 학습활동에 적극적으로 참여시키고, 현대음악을 경험하게 하여 다양하고 균형있는 음악적 성장을 기대할 수 있는데 도움

을 주고자 한다. 더 나아가 학생들이 현대음악에 관심을 갖고 새로운 표현과 개념을 받아들이는데 도움을 주고자 하며 스스로가 일상생활에서 현대

음악의 즐거움을 발견해 나아가는 교양인의 자질을 키우는데 그 의의를 두고 있다. 중학교 8종 음악교과서 중에서 현대음악을 감상 제재곡으로 다루고 있지 않는 교과서(현대출판사, 교학사)도 있었으며, 다루고 있더라도 중학교 3년

동안의 교과과정에 단 1곡뿐이어서 현대음악에 대한 음악교육자의 관심부족과 대책 마련의 미흡함, 학생들의 무관심에 대한 원인으로 이해할 수 있

었다. 일부 음악교과서에서 다루고 있는 제재곡은 라벨의 "볼레로"(도서출판 장원 2학년), 케텔비의 "페르시아의 시장"(음악 춘추사 2학년, 지학사와

보진재 3학년), 브리튼의 "청소년을 위한 관현악 입문"(지학사 와 도서출판 장원 1학년, 동아출판사와 보진재 2학년)이었다. 중학교 음악교육자는 감수성이 예민한 이 시기의 학생들을 가르친다는 점에서 그 역할이 크다 하겠다 그러므로 교육자는 끊임없는 관심과 배려, 주

의를 기울여야 하고, 학생들로 하여금 현대음악에 대한 흥미와 적극적인 태도를 이끌어낼 수 있어야 하며, 학습의 효율성을 높이기 위해서 새로운 학

습 방안을 끊임없이 모색해야 한다. 현대음악을 익숙하고 효과적으로 음악학습에 도입하기 위하여 몇 가지 제안점을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음악교육자들이 현대음악에 대한 새로운 방법과 접근을 시도하여 교육자 중심의 수동적이고 주입식 교육에서 벗어나야 한다. 둘째, 현행 음악 교과서에 학생들의 흥미와 동기유발을 고려한 현대음악을 선곡 ·포함시켜야 한다. 셋째, 부족한 현대음악에 관한 학습자료의 개발을 위해 작곡가와 음악교육자간의 협력과 대중매체를 활용한 현대음악의 대중화가 필요하다. 넷째, 가창 중심의 교육에서 벗어나 현대음악 감상교육에 보다 많은 관심과 비중을 두어 교과과정에서 많이 다루어야한다.;To make listening to music not just a level of hearing but a study of appreciation through creative experiences, I suggest this plans of teaching guideline for appreciation of contemporary music. By using this teaching guideline in real classes, we expect the students to participate in the learning activity voluntarily. As a result, we expect to help the students develop musically at a balanced basis by integrating the fields of music. And further more, we expect to help the students find attractions of contemporary music and accept the new expressions and terms easily. Eventually this guideline's aim is to cultivate the quality of a refined man who enjoys contemporary music in an every-day life. As s theoretical background of the instructional plans for middle school students listening to contemporary music, relevant studies to appreciative education have been investigated. And also relevant literature has been referred to see the theoretical background on the necessity of contemporary music instruction. I develop this plans of teaching guideline for appreciation of contemporary music to teach middle school students. I select these pieces from the eight kinds of music text in the 6th curriculum of middle school and among the other pieces which are available in class. Music teachers of the middle school have a great role in the aspect that they teach students who are in a very sensitive period. Therefore, the teachers must continuously give concern, consideration and attention for students to have interest and positive attitude to contemporary music and for themselves to incessantly explore new teaching methods to heighten the effectiveness of teaching. To make contemporary music more familiar and employ it in the musical study, several things can be purposed as follows; First, music teachers are required to have new knowledge about contemporary music, leadership and broadened training to cultivate their quality. Second, certain contemporary musical pieces must be selected and included in the present music text considering students' interest and motivation. Third, to develop study data on contemporary music which are now wanting, cooperation between composers and musical educators and popularization of contemporary music through making use of mass media are demanded.
