뉴패러다임-도(道)사상의 상관성고찰을 통한 실내환경디자인 방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

지금 세기말은 한세기의 마감인 동시에 또 하나의 새로운 시작이다. 21세기에는 자본주의의 물신화 경향에 대한 반성과 경향이 높아지면서 정보혁명을 선도하는 지식, 예술, 문화산업이 지배적 산업형태로 등장하면서 문화의 시대를 맞이할 것이다. 근대사회에서 탈 근대로, 산업사회에서 정보사회로, 지역적 민족국가시대에서 세계주의로 대전환하면서 인간은 심각한 가치관의 혼란에 빠지게 되었다. 이처럼 문명사적 전환기에 과학,사상과 예술의 복합체로서 환경디자인은 새로운 과학과 예술 사조를 수용하면서 자기다움의 가치와 신념을 가지고 발전하는 개별적 특징성의 주체라고 할 수 있다. 현대 물리학은 사회 전반적 인식체계를 바꾸었으며, 철학과 사회심리학 등의 분야에서는 인간의 존재에 대한 의심과 진리에 대한 불확실성을 확인해 보고자 하는 새로운 연구활동이 시작되었다. 상대성, 불확정성, 상보성 등과 같은 개념은 단지 과학적 이론 체계로만 개념화된 것이 아니라, 사회문화를 구성하는 개념으로 확대되었다. 포스트 모더니즘이라는 용어는 1950년대 후반의 문학 비평 분야에서 처음 등장하였는데, 즉각적으로 건축에 사용되었으며, 점차적으로 무용이나, 연극, 회화, 영화, 음악 등의 예술 전반에 공동적으로 사용되어 왔다. 프랑스와 독일의 문학이론을 통해 포스트 모던 이론은 해체 철학과도 연관을 가지게 되었으며, 현재 해체 철학은 현대 건축에 새로운 양상을 제안하는 이론으로 적용되고 있다. 이에 반해, 우리는 서구 문화의 물밀듯한 소용돌이 속에서 자체내의 전통성과 정체성을 상실한 채 서구의 유행사조의 표피적 모방에 급급한 형편이다. 세계화 시대에 있어 우리 문화의 자생력을 키우기 위해서는 서구 문화에 대한 무분별한 수용 태도를 반성하고 올바를 가치관 정립에 의한 자기 정체성과 주체성을 확립하여야 할 시점에 이르렀으며 지구 공동체 시대에 있어서 세계문화에 대한 한국의 시대적 대응은 세계주의에 기초한 민족주의를 통하여 그리고 범세계적 보편성 위에서 문화적 정체성을 창조적으로 지켜나감으로써 가능한 것이다. 또한 현대물리학에 의해 새로운 세계관으로 전환됨에 따라 인간과 환경과의 관계를 연구하는 환경 디자인의 중요성은 더욱 커지고 있는데, 이는 상호 관계성 연구를 통해서만 접근이 가능하며 이러한 관계성 연구는 학제적 접근방법을 통해서 가능한 것이다. 이러한 상황 속에서 환경의 예술적 전환과 실내환경 디자인의 자기정체성 확립을 위해서는 새로운 시각과 환경디자인 방법론에 있어서 새로운 접근 방법을 필연적으로 요구함을 알 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 유기체적 개념으로써 인간과 환경과의 관계성 연구를 동해 실내환경 디자인의 문제해결을 위한 디자인 방법의 제시에 궁극적 목적이 있다. 위의 연구 목적을 위해 다음과 같은 방법으로 진행하였다. 1. 학제적 접근을 위한 배경으로서 전통성의 개념과 한계 고찰을 통해 통시적 개념이 강한 전통성보다 상대적으로 공시적 측면을 포함할 수 있는 '한국성'으로의 개념을 유도하였다. 2. 본 연구의 궁극적 목적인 총체적 방법론 제시를 위한 노자사상과 물리학적 뉴패러다임과의 상관성 연구를 통해 현대 환경디자인 개념들은 근본적으로 뉴패러다임적 특징을 나타내며 이는 노자사상적 가치관으로 해석되어질 수 있음을 고찰하였다. 3. 한국 현대 건축, 실내환경 디자인에 있어서 서구 건축사조의 무분별한 표피적 수용에 따른 문제점 고찰을 통해 문제 해결의 근거로 삼았다. 4. 노자사상에 포함되어있는 건축적 가치관과 뉴패러다임에 의한 현대건축의 공간, 형태론을 고찰함으로써 환경 디자인 문제 해결을 위한 총체적 방법론을 제시하였다. 5. 위의 과정에 의하여 제시된 방법론을 장(藏), 생(生), 장(長), 수(收)의 과정에 따라 적극적으로 수용하여 공간을 창출함으로써 본 연구의 방법론을 검증하였다. 6. 환경 미학적 측면, 공간 구조적 측면, 이용자 형태 측면으로 나누어 종합 및 평가를 함으로써 연구의 미비점을 보완하며 평가한다. 이와 같은 연구 결과 도(道)사상과 뉴패러다임의 상관성 연구를 통한 디자인 방법은 실내환경 디자인에 있어서의 총체적, 유기체적, 학제적 접근을 시도한 문제 해결 방법으로 인간, 환경 관계에서 인간에게 쾌적한 환경을 지원하며 독창성과 다양성 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방법론임을 입증할 수 있었다. 궁극적으로 본 연구는 환경의 예술화라는 미학적 문제의 해결 방안으로서 관계성 고찰을 통한 학제적 방법을 제시하였으며, 실내환경의 올바른 가치관 정립에 대한 해석으로서 '열린 사고'와 자기 정체성 확립을 위한 '한국성'으로의 긍정적 방향을 제시하였음에 그 의의를 둔다.;Now this is the end of a century at the same time a new beginning. In 21st century, against the tendency of capitalistic materialism, it will be the age of culture that the industry of art, knowledge, and culture shall lead the revolution of information coming out as a dominating form of industry. In changing from modem age to post-modem age, from industrial society to information society, from regional racialism to globalism, the human society is getting in a state of disorder. And in the period of cultural, historial transition, taking the new science and art trend, the environmental design as a complex of the science, ideology and art can be a characteristic subject developing self -value and belief. Modem physics changes the system of whole social understandings and new studies are proceeding that try to confirm the doubt to human beings and the uncertainty to the truth in philosophy and social-psychology. So, the concept of Relativity, Uncertainty, Complementarity and so on are not only conceptualized scientific theory but extended to the concept of composing the social culture. Under these circumstances, the word 'post-modernism' was used in Charles Jencks' Wrighting. "The language of post-modern architecture." The term "Post-Modernism" was appeared in the late 1950's, at the field of literatural critics, immediately used in architecture, gradually in dancing, drama, painting, movie and music. Through the literatural theory of the France and Germany, post-modernism has been connected with the deconstruction pyilosophy, now it is applied as the theory that are proposing the new aspect in architecture. In the mean time, we are inclined immitate the western trends superficially in the storming western culture losing the tradition and identity. In the period of globalism, the grow our self-existing ability, we are come to the point that have to reflex ow attitude to the western culture and establish the self-identity and subjectivity by right value. Furthermore, Korean response of the time to the world should be preserved by the creativity based on the university. Also as it is transformed to now value of world by modem physics the environmental design which are studying the! relationship of man and environmental can be approached by the research the mutual relationship, in which are practicable through the inter-disciplinary approach. For the artistic transforming of the environment and the establishment of self-identification in interior design it should be needed inevitably that we have new sight and research in design methodology. So, this thesis has an ultimate goal in suggestion that the problem of interior-environmental design will be solved by the research of relationship between man and environment. And it was developed by following method. 1. As the background for the interdisciplinary approach, this thesis lead the Korean concept including the relative aspect rather than the traditional of whole. 2. For this aim, it is studied that through the interrelationship between New paradigm and Taoism and the concept of modem environmental design is characteristics of new paradigm basically, and can be translated into the value of Taoism. 3. In our conditions, the consideration for superficial imitation from western architecture mode will be the basis of problem solving. 4. The architectural value from Taoism and theory of shape and form by the new paradigm are suggested as a wholy general method. 5. The process of prototype (a seed), birth (a bud), growth (a leaf), producing (a fruit) by the previous method are admitted positively and design the space in last step, the method is examined. 6. Synthesizing and evaluating the aspects of environmental-aesthetic, user-behavior, space-structure, insufficiency of this thesis can be completed and estimated. As a result of this research, the design methodology by the relationship between Taoism and physical paradigm can be the whole, organic, interdisciplinary approach, in advance, can be also proved the method that will afford the pleasant environment in man and nature relationship and solve the problem of originality and variety. 'Ultimately, this thesis as a solution of artistic environment, suggests an interdisciplinary methodology through comparative investigation. And as an interpretation of establishment for better value, it also suggests 'open thinking' and the concept of 'Korean' as a self-identity.
