컴퓨터에 대한 學生들의 態度에 관한 연구

Abstract

急變하는 現代 社會 속에서 情報 産業 분야는 인간에게 커다란 관심의 촛점이 되었고, 이에 부응하여 우리나라의 컴퓨터 敎育은 70年代부터 시작하여 敎育에서의 컴퓨터 活用은 새로운 敎育 方法으로 硏究되고 있다. 요즈음 中 ·高等學生들의 컴퓨터에 대한 興味와 期待가 높아지고 여기에 비례하여 컴퓨터를 이해하고 활용하려는 노력이 증가되고 있으므로 敎育界에서는 컴퓨터의 效率性을 認識하고 컴퓨터를 이용한 敎授 學習 方法에 적극적인 연구를 기울여야 한다. 本 論文은 敎育用 컴퓨터에 대해 中·高等學生들이 어떤 態度와 反應을 보이는가를 알아내어 컴퓨터를 敎育에 이용하는 效果的인 活用방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이런 目的下에 다음의 4가지 영역을 中心으로 학생들의 컴퓨터에 대한 態度를 조사하였다. 1. 컴퓨터에 대한 學生들의 一般論인 態度 2. 敎育用 컴퓨터 프로그램에 대한 學生들의 反應 3. 敎育用 컴퓨터의 活用 狀況 4. 敎育用 컴퓨터의 效果的인 活用에 대한 學生들의 意見 本 論文은 文感硏究좌 調査硏究를 병행하였는데, 조사연구는 컴퓨터가 설치된 서울 市內 7개 中·高等擧校 학생 중 컴퓨터를 두 달 이상 배워, 그 操作法과 간단한 프로그래밍을 알고 있는 學生중에서 敎育用 소프트웨어를 다루어 본 경험이 있는 400명 학생에게 질문지를 통해 컴퓨터에 대한 態度와 意見을 들어보았고, 질문지의 結果는 百分率로 처리하였다. 통계적 검증은 0.05와 0.01의 수준에서 카이 自乘(X^(2), Chi - Sgrare Test)검사를 하였고, 각 영역별 問項은 23問項이며, 男女별,·中·高等學生별의 변인에 따라 비교 分析하였다. 調査 結果는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 1. 中·高等擧生들은 컴퓨터에 대해 강한 好奇心을 갖고 있었고, 컴퓨터를 전공하려는 學生도 많았으며, 대부분 공부를 잘 하기 위해서 컴퓨터를 배우고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 中·高等學生들은 컴퓨터가 敎育에 有用함을 잘 알고 있었으나 컴퓨터로 오락을 즐기고 싶어하는 경향이 많이 나타나서 오락用 프로그램보다는 敎育用 프로그램 개발이 매우 시급한 것으로 나타났다. 3. 컴퓨터를 이용한 學習에 대해 학생들은 대부분 效果的이라고 생각하고 있으며, 高等學生에 비해 中學生들은 컴퓨터를 이용한 새로운 學習方法에 대해 더 肯定的이었고, 주의집중면에서도 高等學生들은 중학생에 비해 교사 강의식에 더 주의집중이 잘 된다고 생각했다. 4. 컴퓨터 프로그래밍을 배우는 것이 어렵다고 생각하는 學生이 많았으며, 여학생보다는 남학생이 고등학생보다는 중학생이 컴퓨터 프로그래밍을 쉽게 배우고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 컴퓨터로 공부를 하면 혼자 自由스러운 분위기에서 공부할 수 있어서 좋다고 생각하는 學生이 많아, 規則的인 제약속에서의 敎育보다는 自由스러운 분위기에서 공부하기를 原하는 것처럼 보였다. 6. 본 연구에서의 7개학교는 3대 내지 20대 정도의 컴퓨터를 보유하고 있었으나 잘 活用되지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 대부분 特別活動 시간에 소수의 학생에게 操作法이나 간단한 프로그래밍을 敎育하는데 活用되고 있었다. 7. 敎育用 컴퓨터의 效果的인 活用을 위한 學生들의 意見을 들어보면, 保有 대수와 컴퓨터 活用 時間을 더 늘려야 한다고 지적했으며 컴퓨터가 컴퓨터실에 따로 설치되거나, 가능하면 각 敎室에 設置될 것을 원하였다. 위의 조사 결과를 종합적으로 분석해 볼 때, 컴퓨터에 대한 학생들의 態度는 대체로 긍정적으로 나타났다고 하겠다.;In the last several years, the mass media have carried abundant advertising promoting small computers, including uses of interest to children and students (such as playing games). Given this widespread exposure, it is quite likely that students are developing differentiated and complex attitude toward these machines. Understanding the importance and effectiveness of the machines, the policy of the Educational Ministry let have most school several machines and intend to apply to instruction. The purpose of this study is to survey the attitude of secondary school student toward computer and the problems of CAI in school system and to seek effective and efficient instructional methods by applying computer in education. The result of the survey were analyzed into four categories. a) The general attitude of students toward the computer. b) Application of computer in education (Educational Computer-Program) c) The present status and problems of educational computer d) Effective and efficient computer education. The survey showed the following results: 1) Students are very much interested in studying computer, but they don't know how to apply the computer to their learning The development of the educational software is needed. 2) 88% of 400 students responded that CAI is effective instructional method. The subjects matters which the students want to study by computer were Mathmatics, Science, English, Korean, Social Studies, and Art. 3) The problems of Computer Instruction in school were 1. The lack of the computer instructional facilities. 2. The lack of the educational software. 4) Approximately 50% of 400 students indicated that it is very important to study the computer programming process throughly. As all results above mentioned are analyzed, the attitude of students toward computer has a positive aspect educationally.
