설치미술의 표현특성에 의한 환경디자인 적용에 관한 연구

Abstract

In the contemporary world, we come across drastic changes such as a multiculturalism that bring above what Stuart Hall' has referred to as the "global postmodern". At the turning point toward the 21st century, active attempts that meet these changes and reflect the diverse requests is in progress all over the fields of Art. Especially the interpretation of space in modem art makes it text the faith of a technological future, the the objective truth or the experiment of the progress. In particular it comes from the dental of the fast that is designed for the creation of new order. That is based on the characteristic element of forms in modernity, that is the preference of the created objects over the reproduced scene. It is the effect of installation which is recognized as the first way of the space-expansion that the view of art is extended from studio to museum, from museum to garden and from garden to environment, so it has been much enlarged since 70's when the end of modernism is foretold. To understand the installation as the characteristic of modern art and introduce the art into the environment not being separated from daily life on the basis of the need of a public park for leisure, this research proceeds by the following step. 1. Understanding the historical background and the process of development of the installation, the major part of modern art. 2. Suggesting the standard and the method of the adoption of design by the analysis of the shape element and the characteristic of the installation. 3. Searching the solution by the analysis of the status and problems of Han-river public park. 4. Applying the above theory to the environmental design. Proposing the environment as the public art that is concerned about the participation and the reaction without being separated from daily life by reflecting the diversity of modem times with the use of various media and properties of the art and architecture. 5. Proposing the environmental design based on the theoretical background above.;오늘날의 세상은 급격한 변화를 보여주고 있다. 특히 다원주의의 쇄도 등으로 스튜어트 홀이 말한 '전지구적인 탈모던'의 현상이 일어나고 있다. 21세기로 향하는 시대적 전환점에서 예술 전반 영역에서도 이러한 변화를 수용하고 다양한 요구를 반영하려는 시도들이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 특히 현대미술의 공간해석은 그것이 믿고 있었던 기술적 미래에 대한 신념이나 객관적 진리, 진보에 대한 실험성을 텍스트로 한 내용이며 특히 새로운 질서창조를 지향하는 과거부정으로부터 출발한 것이다. 이는 현대성이 갖는 조형적 속성, 다시 말해 [재현된 장면보다는 만들어진 사물]을 선택하는 기호에 근거하고 있다. 공간확장의 제1수단으로 인식된 설치미술의 효과는 예술의 시야를 스튜디오에서 미술관으로, 미술관에서 정원으로, 정원에서 환경의 문제로 파급시켜 모더니즘의 종말을 예고했던 70년대 이후 더욱 확장된 시야를 형성하고 있다. 전시공간 자체를 대상화한 설치미술의 환경적 특성을 실제 일상 환경에 적용하여 획일화된 건축물과 도시환경을 대중적이고 능동적으로 인간의 참여를 유도할 수 있는 공간을 만들 수 있는 가능성을 제시한다. 본 연구에서는 여가를 위한 시민공원의 필요성을 바탕으로 현대미술의 특성으로서 설치미술을 이해하고 환경과의 상호교류에 의한 예술이 일상에서 유리되지 않고 삶 속에서 환경의 예술화가 이뤄질 수 있도록 다음과 같은 과정으로 진행하였다. 1. 현대미술의 대표적인 미술사조로써 설치미술의 시대적 배경과 전개과정을 살펴보았다. 2. 설치미술의 조형적 요소와 특성을 분석함으로써 디자인 적용의 기준과 방법을 제시하였다. 3. 다원화 경향과 전위적이고 설치적 경향을 보이고 있는 현대 건축의 조형적인 특성을 파악하여 새로운 환경 디자인을 위한 하나의 접근 방법으로 이해하였다. 4. 한강시민공원의 현황과 문제점을 분석하여 해결방안을 찾고자 했다. 5. 앞서 논의되었던 이론을 환경디자인에 적용시켰다. 미술과 건축 분야에서 나타나는 여러 특성과 다양한 매체의 사용으로 현 시대의 다양성을 반영하고 대중과의 상호교류로 예술이 일상에서 유리되지 않고 참여와 반응에 관심을 갖는 공공예술로서의 환경을 제시하였다. 6. 앞서 논의되었던 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 한 환경디자인을 제시한다.
