Robert Pace 피아노교본에 관한 분석 연구

Abstract

효율적인 피아노 기초 교육을 위해서 주로 미국을 중심으로 1980년대부터 우리나라에 도입, 사용되고 있는 피아노 기초 교본에 대한 교사의 지식과 선택의 능력이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 이들 교본 증 Robert Pace 피아노 교본을 선택하여 분석연구함으로써 이 교본에 대한 바른 인식을 갖도록 하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이론적 배경에서 현재 미국 피아노 기초 교본이 있기까지의 생성과정, Robert Pace의 교수 방법론, Robert Pace교본의 교수형태와 교본의 구성과 특징에 대해 조사하였다. 연구 방법은 초급 과정에서 약2년 동안 쓰이고 있는 Robert Pace 피아노 교본 Book 1과 Book 2의 각각 Music for Piano, Theory Papers, Creative Music, Finger Builders를 중심으로 한 전 8권의 분석연구이다. 본 연구의 내용은 첫째, 교본별 분석을 통해서 각 교본의 학습내용과 학습활동 그리고 교본간의 연관성에 관한 연구 둘째, 항목별 분석에서 전8권에 나타나고 있는 레파토리, 진행과정, 독보, 이론, 리듬에 대한 연구 세째, 우리나라 상황에 적용했을 때 고려해야할 점을 파악하여 이 교본을 보다 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구로 이루어졌다. 연구 결과 Robert Pace 피아노 교본 Book 1과 Book 2는 피아노 연주 외에 이론 학습을 통한 음악의 개념 이해, 곡에 대한 분석, 창작과 즉흥연주, 테크닉 개발 등 다양한 접근 방법으로 시도되고 있고 선법과 현대음악 기법등 다양한 음악양식이 포함되어 있어 우리나라 피아노 교육에서 부족되고 있는 포괄적 음악교육을 위해 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 교본이다. 또한 학습되는 내용이 정확히 제시되고 있으며 음악개념이 점차로 다양화, 심화되도록 조직되고 각 교본이 연관성을 갖고 학습되도록 하고 있다. 그러나 음이름, 조표, 조이름등의 학습시 전체의 개념을 한꺼번에 가르친다는 점과 통일된 리듬세기와 리듬감 훈련이 부족하다는 점이 지적되며 우리나라 아동이 흥미를 가질 수 있는 친근한 곡조를 포함시키고 그룹지도를 도입하는 방안이 고려되어야 할 것이다.;For the effect of elementary piano education, the teachers are required to have the knowledge and the ability of selection on the elementary method books of piano, which are being used with the introduction into our country since the 1980s centering on America. This study places its purpose on achieving the right recongnition about the Robert Pace's piano method books by analytical study the very books based on the education of comprehensive musicianship among the piano method books. As a theorectical background, this study investigated the generative process of elementary method books in modern American piano, the teaching method theory of Rober Pace, and teaching types, organization and characteristic of his method books. This study centered on the eight books of Music for piano, Theory Papers, Creative Music, Finger Builder on Book 1 and Book 2 of Robert Pace's piano method books, which are being used in the elementary process about for two years. The content for this the elementary process about for two years. study consisted of, first, the research on the connection among the method books and learning content and learning activity of each method books through the analysis of every book, and second, the research on the repertoire, the progress process, the way of reading staff, the theory, and the rhythm indicated in the whole 8 books. In the results of this study, Book 1 and Book 2 of Robert Pace's piano method books are being attempted as a variety of approaching methods such as the comprehension of musical concept through the theorectical learning, the analysis on the piece, tile creative activity, the improvisation, and the technical development, and they are suggested as the method books which can be used effectively for the comprehensive music education lacking in the piano education of our country. But because it is the method book centering on American children, an instruction able to run parallel with a training of rhythmical feeling and a systemetical rhythm-intensity, and have the edition including the familiar tunes is being thought to be desired, when considering interest, emotion and language sensibility in our children.
