Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to illuminate the theological necessity of Feminist Theology and suggest the task and the direction of "Christian Education" for the woman liberation and "promotion of the full humanity of woman", by reviewing Rosemary R .Ruether's feminist theology. In chapter Ⅱ, I discuss the theological validity and necessity of feminist theology. Feminist theology came across the sea under the influence of 'Feminism' and "Liberation Theology" with the trend of modern theology, which concerns the general affair of human existence. Feminist theology h a s its significance in that it points out the supression of woman and the distortion of sexism-ideology in traditional Christian Theology. Especially it examines and criticize the patriarchalism in Bible and the correlation between christian symbolic system and the dominant social structure through feminist perspective. And it proclaims that emancipation from sexism is the true vision of salvation. In chapter Ⅲ, I discuss the methology and contents of R . Ruether's feminist theology. The starting point of her theory is the critical introspect. For this introspect, her methology has the eclectic and non-exclusive characteristics, having the critical perspective through the experience of woman and searching for theological material in historical tradition. She illuminates the sexism and god-language as male and female images of "The Divine". And she tries to seek for god-language and images of the goddess in the Acient Near East and appropriation of the goddess in Jewish and Christian monotheism. So she searches for god-language beyond patriarchy in the biblical prophetic-liberating tradition and goes toward a feminist undestanding of 'God/ess'. I examined the 'dualism', a model for woman supression in a traditional Christian theology from a view point of feminist and suggest feminist antropology and ecological feminist theology. In chapter Ⅳ, I suggest the task of Christion Education to liberate woman and to realize complete humanity of women, adopting R .Ruther's feminist theology. Namely I suggest that the goal of feminist education is humanization education in individual, social, historical field and examine the method of christian ducation f or woman liberation by adoting P.Freire's conscientization education and praxis. And I present that the context of liberation education for woman is community for a peaple libeated from sexism. Also I suggest the duty of Christian education toward "Integrity of Creation" and 'ecological-justice". Furthermore I present the education of humanization for the formation of national community, as an approach to peaceful unification in Korea and also I suggest woman's role and mission as a mother of Nation. In conclusion, feminist theoloygy of R .Ruether shows clearly the distortion of patriarcher christianity and throws light upon Christian education, which has not dealt with the problem of women. The liberation from sexism is just redemption of God and restores to "new humanity".;성차별과 남성우월적 이데올리기는 여성과 남성의 온전한 인간화를 파괴하는 제거되어야 할 장벽이다. 여성신학이 요청되는 것은 인간사회에 성차별주의라는 역사적 현실이 존재하기 때문이다. 본 논문의 목적은 여성신학의 신학적 필요성을 조명하고 Rosemary Ruether의 여성신학을 구체적으로 고찰함으로써 여성의 해방과 온전한 인간성의 실현을 도모하기 위해 기독교교육이 감당해야 할 과제와 방향을 모색하는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 이루기 위한 본 논문의 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인간실존의 전상황을 문제삼는 현대신학의 성격을 언급한 뒤, 여성학과 해방신학의 영향에 의해 형성된 여성신학의 특성과 조류를 전개하며, 여성의 종속을 합리화하는 가부장적 기독교와 성서의 가부장주의를 훼미니스트 비판의 관점에서 성찰함으로써 여성신학의 필요성 및 타당성을 제시하고자 한다. 둘째, R.Ruether의 여성신학의 출발점과 방법론은 무엇인지 살핀 다음, 그의 여성신학 내용 중에서 성차별 이데올로기를 고착시키는 가부장적 하나님의 언어나 이미지를 초극하고 동시에 여성의 이미지도 함축하고 있는 “하나님의 언어”를 훼미니스트 관점에서 역사적으로 조명해 본다. 그리고 여성억압 모델인 이원론을 기독교신학 전통을 통해 살핀 다음, 이를 극복하는 대안으로서 류터의 인간학과 생태학적 여성신학을 고찰한다. 셋째, 의식화 교육과 Praxis를 도입하여 여성해방교육의 목적과 방법을 언급하고, 여성해방을 위한 기독교교육의 장(context)으로서 공생적 인격의 모임인 해방된 공동체를 통한 여성해방교육의 내용도 살펴본다. 또한 신의 창조세계의 보존과 생택학적 정의를 위한 청지기 사명을 감당하고, 더 나아가 한민족의 분단을 극복하며 민족화해를 위한 기독교 교육의 과제를 모색함으로써 민족의 평화통일과 세계 평화를 위한 여성의 임무와 역할을 제시하고자 한다. 성차별주의로부터의 해방은 바로 하나님의 구권행위로서 새로운 인간성의 회복을 약속하는 동시에 모든 지배-종속의 인간관계와 생태학적 관계에 놓여있는 사회구조 전체를 변혁시키는 지름길이 될 것이다.
