유아잡지 사회기사의 분석연구

Abstract

본 연구는 유아잡지 사회기사의 내용과 편집체제를 분석함으로써 유아잡지 사회기사가 유아의 성장발달에 긍정적 효과를 초래하도록 편집하는데 도움이 되고자 하였다. 연구 방법은 현재 발행되고 있는 세 유아잡지인 「자연과 어린이」,「엄마랑 아기랑」, 「어린이 웅진 아이큐」의 3년간(1986년 9월~1989년 8월) 사회기사의 내용과 표현방법을 연구자가 설정한 분석기준에 의해 분석하였고, 유아잡지 편집자들에게 설문조사를 실시하여 유아잡지 사회기사 편집에 대한 실태와 그들의 의식을 알아보았다. 본 논문의 연구 문제와 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 유아잡지 사회기사는 어민 내용을 다루는가? 유아잡지 사회기사의 내용은 바른 생활습관 갖기, 긍정적 자아개념의 형성, 개인의 생활 경험 등을 다룬 나에 관한 기사와 가족 구성원과의 관계에 관한 기사, 이웃사람들의 모습과 현장 탐방을 다룬 이웃에 관한 기사, 우리나라의 명절·행사와 문화, 전통, 풍습에 관한 기사와 세계의 문화와 풍습을 다룬 기사, 그리고 생산·소비·과정과 사회 과학적 경제개념을 다룬 기사로 되어 있다. 중점적으로 다루고 있는 내용은 현장탐방에 관한 기사(20.6%),생활습관에 관한 기사(17%), 이웃사람들에 관한 기사(14.5%),순으로 나타났다. 현장탐방에 관한 기사는 지역기관 소개를, 생활습관에 관한 기사는 건강의 측면을 가장 많이 다루었고, 이웃사람들에 관한 기사는 지역적 생활 모습을 가장 많이 다룬 것으로 나타났다. 2. 유아잡지 사회기사의 편집체제는 어떠한가? 표현 방법은 사진탐방식이 25.2%로 가장 많았으며, 그림나열식이 19.6%, 사진화보식이 18.6%, 사진이야기식이 11.8%, 사진상황식이 9.8%, 그림이야기식이 7.2%, 기타의 표현 방법이 9.8%로 나타났다. 유아잡지 편집자는 사회기사를 편집하는 데 유아의 사회발달 특성에 대한 이해의 부족을 가장 큰 어려움으로 여기고 있으며, 문교부에서 나온 유아교육지도자료집을 참고 도서로 가장 많이 활용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.;This study analyzed the contents of the social column of the Early Child Magazine and the editing systems of the same, from the wish to contribute to the purpose that the social article of Early Child Magazine might be edited so as to produce some positive effects on the development of early children. Methodologically, the social columns for three years (September 1986 to August 1989) of the three kinds of currently published Early Child Magazine, which include Nature and Children, With Mother and With Child, and Woong-Jin I.Q. for the Children, were analyzed based on the author-chosen analytical standards; the general consciousness of early-child magazine editors and the realities of their editing circumstances were researched by employing the method of questionnaire. The Issues and results are summarized as follows: 1. What contents the social columns of Early Child magazine deal with? They consist of such articles as those concerned with 'having right everyday practice', 'constructing positive self-concept', 'everyday self experiences', 'the relationship between family members and the child', 'neighbors and spot-visiting', 'national holidays, public events, culture, tradition and customs of our country', 'cultures and customs of the world', and 'processes of production and consumption ＆ socio-scientific, economic concepts'. 2. To what contents of article general emphases are paid relating to the social column of early child magazine? Those about spot visiting take 20.6%, 17%, is about everyday practice, and, then, 14.5% appeared about neighbors. And, 'spot visiting, articles appeared chiefly concerning with the introduction of local Institutions, those of 'everyday practicing' appeared dealing with the perspective of health most frequently, and those of 'neighbors' appeared paying greatest parts of it to the 'life practice In accordance with the district'. 3. What about the editing system of the social column of Early Child Magazine? For the expressional techniques, photographic visiting method articles appeared taking 25.2% of the total, 19.6% appeared covered by picture arrangement method, 11.8% by photo-narrational method, 9.8% by account representational method, and 7.2% by illustrated story method. It may be said here that, under the circumstances in which the social articles are getting more represented by photo-employing technique, studies upon what expressional method is more appropriate between the two methods of concentrating into the picture and into the photography. Also, it appeared that most editors suffer from poor understanding of the child's characteristics according to the stages in socializational development, and that they make use of the collected materials of guidelines for early child education most frequently as their reference books. In sum, the three kind of magazine showed higher inter-similarity in their contents and editing systems of the social articles. And, they are expected to show more responsible editing practices, making the most of their unique characteristics under their own unambiguous objectives.
