기하학적 형태를 응용한 복식 디자인 연구

Abstract

Since early in the Twentieth centry the rational thinking of human being and the development of autonomous mechanical civilization in terms of painting have produced a new geometric formative sensation of modernistic aesthetic sense. The geometric forms obtained by disassembling nature, since a circle, a triangle and a quadrangle are the forms that are extremely simplified in logical and rational shapes, would render a perspicuous feeling with succinct visual point of view. Also, they would give a formative satisfaction to the modernistic sensation in the form possessed with mathematical accuracy and at the same time, would give a sense of security with rigid balance. This thesis has observed a new formative value of geometric form, while seeking the formative process of geometric form in the art movement appeared in the early stage of the Twentieth century with a theoretical background for the geometric form, and eight pieces of works were manufactured through applying the forms of a circle, a triangle and a quadrangle that would be the basic elements of geometric form on the basis of the cognition on the observation. For this effect, an attempt was made to enhance the visual effect of concise and explicit sense as a whole with the use of hemp cloth as the applied material. In the method expression, another attempt was further made to focus on the utility with succinct and moderate composition through enhancing its formative sense with the embossed three-dimensional representation. Therefore, this thesis was placed on its significance in attempting to show an immeasurable possibility for developing fashion design as the modeling material of geometric form with the presentation of the meaning as a new form and the practically-useful design through the formative recomposition of modernistic sensation by applying the geometric form into the fashion.;20세기에 들어와 인간의 합리적인 사고와 회화에 있어서의 자율성 기계문명의 발달은 현대적 미감의 새로운 기하학적 형태 감각을 낳았다. 자연을 분해함으로써 얻어진 기하학적 형태 즉 원, 삼각형, 사각형은 논리적이고 합리적인 형태로 극도로 단순화 되어진 형태이기 때문에 간결하며 시각적으로 명쾌감을 준다. 또한 수학적 정확성을 지닌 형태로 현대감각에 형태적 만족감을 주는 동시에 엄격한 균형으로 안정감을 준다. 본 논문은 기하학적 형태에 대한 이론적 배경으로 20세기 초반에 나타난 예술운동에서 기하학적 형태의 형성과정을 찾아보면서 기하학적 형태의 새로운 조형가치를 고찰 하였으며 이에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 기하학적 형태의 기본요소인 원, 삼각형, 사각형의 형태를 응용하여 8점의 작품을 제작하였다. 이를 위해 소재는 마직물을 사용했고 전체적으로 간결하며 명쾌한 감각의 시각적 효과를 높이고자 하였다. 표현방법에 있어서 부조적 입체적표현으로 조형감을 드높이며 간결하며 절제된 구성으로 실용성에도 촛점을 맞추고자 하였다. 본 연구는 기하학적 형태를 복식에 응용함 으로써 현대적감각의 조형적 재 구성을 통해 새로운 형으로서의 의미와 실용성 있는 디자인을 제시하여 기하학적 형태의 조형소재로서 복식디자인 개발의 무한한 가능성을 보여주고자 하는데 그 의의가 있다.
