현행 중·고등학교 음악 교과서의 감상 영역 분석과 방송 매체를 이용한 감상 학습 지도안 개발

Abstract

음악 교육은 인간의 '미적 감수성'을 최대한 경험하게 하여 조화로운 인격 형성에 도움이 되도록 하며 질 높은 삶을 누리게 하는 교과이며, 다양한 음악적 경험과 종합적 사고가 가능한 감상 영역은 음악과 교육과정에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는 영역이다. 그러나 현대 문명이 급속히 발달하면서 과거의 형식을 답습하고 있는 음악 교육은 그 영역이 경시되고 있으며, 방송 매체에서 파생된 대중 음악의 힘에 밀려 학생들에게 외면당하고 있다. 가창 영역 위주의 학습 진행으로 기형적인 형태를 갖추고 있는 학습 영역의 구성은 감상 영역이 발전하지 못하는 원인이 된다. 그래서 어떤 방법과 자료로 수업을 하여야 학생들에게 음악과목이 흥미 있는 과목으로 인식되고 효율적으로 학습할 수 있을 것인가가 문제가 된다. 본 연구는 감상 영역을 중심으로 하는 음악 교과서의 분석은 통해 학습영역과 내용 구성의 문제점을 파악하고 설문조사를 통하여 학생들의 방송 매체에 대한 선호도와 감상 교육의 실태를 진단하고. 이 결과를 토대로 하여 학생들의 음악 과목에 대한 흥미와 관심을 진작시킬 수 있는 감상 학습 자료를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이러한 목적의 실행을 위해 현행 제 6차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 음악 교과서와 고등학교 음악 교과서, 제 5차 교육과정에 의한 고등학교 음악 교과서를 분석하고 중·고등학교 교육과정의 연계성과 개정 전후의 차이점을 비교 분석하였다. 감상학습 자료 개발을 위하여 설문 조사를 실시함으로써 학생들의 학습 정도와 방송 매체와의 친밀도, 음악 과목에 대한 관심 여부를 전달하였고, 이를 기반으로 방송 매체에 사용되는 클래식 음악을 사용한 감상 학습 지도안을 작성하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 중·고등학교 음악과목간의 연계성이 미약함을 알 수 있었고, 교과서 개편 이후에도 교과서의 구성이 크게 개선되지 않았음을 알 수 있었다. 설문 조사 결과 학생들의 중·고등학교 음악 수업 시간에 학습한 감상록에 대한 인지도는 낮은 편이였으며 이와 같은 현상은 수업 방식과 감상 자료에 문제가 있음을 나타내 주었다. 이에 비해 방송 매체에 대한 학생들의 반응은 높았으며 방송 매체를 사용한 감상 학습에 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 학습 방법에 따라 학습 의욕과 흥미가 크게 진작될 수 있는 가능성을 보여 주었다. 아직까지는 음악 교육의 현장에 있는 교사들이 활용할 수 있는 음악 수업 자료가 부족한 것이 현실이다. 현대 사회의 발전 속도에 맞추어 효율적인 수업을 진행하기 위해서는 여러 연구자들의 지속적인 노력과 교육 행정의 지원이 필수적이다. 이후의 연구에서도 학교의 실정에 맞는 다양한 방법의 학습 자료가 많이 개발되어 적극적으로 활용될 수 있기를 기대하여 본다.;Music Education is a subject which helps the formation of harmonious personality and the experience of aesthetic sensibility. Music Appreciation is a very important domain which makes variable experience and synthetic thinking possible. With an rapid progress of the modern civilization, however the old-fashioned method of music education, which are overwhelemed by the culture power derived from broadcasting system, not only degraded but also differentiated by students. Deformation of the music subject, emphasized only on vocal domains, is the biggest problem of the appreciation domain. How can be recognized that music is an interesting subject and studied efficiently by the students? The purpose of this study is to evaluate the problem of the music textbook concentrated on the appreciation domain, and to develop the teaching model used the background music broadcasting system so as to stimulate the interest of students. In order to achieve the purpose, high school music textbook by the 6th curriculum is compared with the textbook by the 5th and also middle school textbook by the 6th curriculum in difference and relationship. The questionnaire is applied to investigate the preceding experience in music appreciation and the interest on the school music and the background music used on broadcasting system. Based on the result of the questionnaire, the appreciation teaching model was suggested by using classic music presented from the broadcasting system. As a result, middle school and high school have a little connection in music subject, and the revised textbook is no worthy of being improved. Most students are lacking in the preceding experience on school music, because of the problems in teaching method and material. In contrast to the result above, the students showed high interest in mass media and positive response on the teaching model used the material from the broadcasting system. The students have a possibility to progress their interests on music subject by teaching method. So far, we have no sufficient materials able to make use in variety. In order to teach more efficiently with a progress speed of civilization, researchers and administrators have to make a great deal of effort. Many teaching material suitable for each school will be utilized actively by their efforts from this day forth.
