목회적 관점에서 본 교회노인교육의 방향

Abstract

현대사회의 급속한 변화는 인간의 생활과 환경에 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 산업화, 도시화의 현상과 의학기술의 발달, 평균수명의 연장으로 인구구조의 변화를 초래하게 되었다. 전체 인구 중 노인인구의 비율이 계속적으로 증가하고 있어 점차 우리 사회도 고령화사회(高齡化社會)로 진입할 것으로 전망된다. 또한 가족제도의 변화와 가치관의 변화로 노인문제는 점점 심각해져 사회문제로까지 대두되게 되었다. 따라서 오늘의 한국교회는 노인의 사회문제에 대한 적절한 대안을 모색함으로써 교회의 사회적 책임을 수행해야 한다. 또한 교회는 모든 구성원들을 돌봄의 목회적 대상으로 삼아야 하며, 인간구원을 위한 교회의 선교적 차원에서 노인을 위한 교육적 관심과 함께 다양한 교육프로그램을 제공해주어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 목회적 관점에서 노인교육의 이론적 근거를 살펴보고 현재 교회 현장에서 실시되고 있는 노인교육의 현황분석을 통해 노인교육의 문제를 진단하고 노인교육의 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 제 I장은 본 논문의 서론으로 노인교육의 필요성을 제기하면서 연구목적과 연구범위와 방법 그리고 연구의 제한점을 서술하였다. 제 Ⅱ장은 문헌을 통해 현대 사회 속에서 제기되는 노인교육의 문제를 언급하였다. 노인의 개념과 노인의 신체적, 심리적, 사회적 특성을 알아봄으로써 교육대상인 노인에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 현대사회 속에서 제기되는 노인문제의 실태와 원인을 파악하였고 노인교육의 필요성과 중요성을 지적하였다. 제Ⅲ장에서는 현재 실시되고 있는 노인교육의 현황을 선행연구들을 기초자료로 분석하였고, 분석을 위한 기초이론으로 말콤 노울스(M.S.Knowles)의 성인교육이론을 제시하였다. 성인을 위한 교육과정의 일곱가지 요소에 근거해서 노인교육의 현황을 분석하였고 그에 따른 노인교육의 문제를 진단하였다. 제Ⅳ장에서는 교회의 목회활동 안에서 특히 노인목회의 원리와 노인을 위한 교회의 역할에 대해서 살펴본 후 노인교육의 목적, 내용, 교수-학습과정, 평가를 중심으로 목회적 관점에서 노인교육의 방향을 제안하였다. 제V장은 본 논문의 결론으로 논문의 내용을 요약하였고 앞으로 교회 노인교육의 발전을 위한 제언을 다음과 같이 하였다. 교회 노인교육은 노인에 대한 이해를 새롭게 인식하는데서 출발해야 하며 노인교육 전문기관을 설치하여 지속적이고 체계적인 연구를 통해 개교회에 노인의 다양한 특성과 교육적 욕구를 고려한 교육프로그램들을 제공해 주어야 할 것이다. 또한 효과적인 노인교육을 위해 노인교육 전문가를 많이 양성하여 노인교육에 대한 인식을 확대시킴으로써 다양한 노인교육 분야의 후속연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.;The rapid change of society has yielded many differences in human life and its environment. It creates the population change attributable to the progress of medical science and the extension of the average span of life as well as industrialization and urban development. As the number of the old among the whole population has been increasing gradually, our society is prospected to get aging day by day. Also owing to the change in family and value, the problem of the old is getting worse and to come up as a social issue. Accordingly the Korean church of this time should carry out its social responsibility by exploring the proper ways to cope with the problem. Also the church is obliged to take care of all the members by paying them educational attention and providing the various educational program in light of mission. For this thesis, the theoretical ground have been considered carefully and the analysis of the education for the old held by church has been conducted. Hereby this study intends to present a way how to lead the education for the old. In chapter I , as an introduction, suggesting the necessity of the education for the old, not only the purpose, domains and method of this research but its limitations are stated. In chapter Ⅱ, it mentions the problems of the old ascribed modem society through the literature. With the review of the concept of the old and their physical, psychological, social characteristics, based on comprehending the old, it identifies the cause and the facts of problem of the old coming up in modem society, and then points out the importance and the need for the education for the old. In chapter Ⅲ, it analyzes quo of the education for the old based on preceding documents and quotes the adults education theory of Malcom S. Knowles. Based on the 7 points of educational curriculum for adult, it analyzes the status quo and thereby examines the problems of the old.
