현대인의 정신적 장애에 관한 시각 표현 연구

Abstract

이 논문은 현대인의 주된 관심사가 되고 있는 스트레스에 대한 연구이다. 여타 다른 의학적인 연구와 학술적인 측면의 분석이 있어 왔지만, 이 논문은 일러스트레이션의 고유한 기능을 통하여 스트레스를 분석하고 바라본 연구이다. 논문의 서론과 이론적 배경을 통하여 스트레스의 여러 양상들을 살펴보고 그 원인과 연구 결과를 살펴보았다. 그리고 나아가서 미술사의 한 쟝르를 장식한 뭉크의 작품을 통하여서 그 시대의 스트레스와 정신질환을 직접겪은 작가의 눈을 통해 살펴보았다. 또한 논문의 본문이라 할 수 있는 본 연구자의 작품에 의하여 현대인의 스트레스를 재조명해 보고 그 실상을 적나라하게 전달해 보고자 하였다. 연구 방법에 있어서는 일반적인 방법과 달리 사포를 화폭으로 선택하고 붓 대신 못과 파스텔을 사용하여 독특한 질감과 색감을 통하여 스트레스의 핵심을 효과적으로 표현했다. 이러한 일러스트레이션은 단순한 그림의 기능이 아니라 현대의 가장 중요하고 필수적인 전달수단이 되어버린 져널리즘의 한 부분으로서 그 역할의 확대를 꾀한 시도라 할 수 있다. 기존 져널리즘의 주된 수단인 문자 언어의 한계성과 제한성을 극복하고, 단시간 내에 전달하고자 하는 내용을 획득해야 하는 현대인의 필요를 충분히 만족시키고자함도 이 연구의 한 의도이다. 결과적으로 '스트레스'라는 주제를 가지고 저널리스틱 일러스트레이션의 쟝르가 신문이나 잡지의 삽입그림이 아니라 독특하고 독립된, 그리고 동등한 한 영역을 확보할 수 있다는 것을 보여주고자 했다.;This thesis is about stress which is the major interest to the moderns. There have been lots of research from the point of medical and academic view but this thesis is made from the unique view of illustration In the preface and theory backgrounds, I reviewed many aspects of stress and studied the causes and effects of stress. Further to this research, I surveyed the stress of the late 1800s through Munch's works. He suffered a menteal disease himself and painted many pictures to deliver the mental distresses. to reveal the real state of stress which moderns might have gotten. When I drawed the pictures, I used special and unique ways such as sand papers, nail and pastel instead of canvas and brushes. By those tools, I could give different feelings and colors to my pictures to express the essence of stress. This kind of illustration is not the simple function of the cut but the unique part of journalism which could be one of the most important and necessary communication methods. I wanted to expand the role of illustration. Usually, the main tool of journalism-the written language is limited by time and communication and the modern people who are so busy are required to catch the information immediately. I think that one of the best ways to meet those needs could be journalistic illustration. This thesis is able to be an example of that usage of illustration. As the result, I tried to show that the role of journalistic illustration could be special, unique and different from the existing function such as a cut of newspapers and magazines.
