무의식을 통한 환상적 이미지표현 연구

Abstract

예술은 인간 정신의 활동이며, 예술가의 내적인 생각의 표현이 담겨져 있다. 인간의 정신 활동에서 의식과 무의식의 한계를 완전히 구분해서 생각할 수는 없지만 인간 본성의 무의식이 인간의 예술창조 행위에 중요한 요인이 된다는 것은 보편적으로 알려져 있다. 인간 행위 가운데 특히 창조활동은 인간의 영혼을 형상화 시키는 것을 말하는 것이며, 이와 같은 창조활동에는 무의식이 관여됨을 알 수 있다. 무의식은 의식된 과거의 기억과는 다른 전혀 새로운 사고나 창조적 관념으로 가득 차 있다. 의식적 내용이 사라져서 끝내는 무의식이 되어버린 것과 마찬가지로 한 번도 의식화되어 본 일이 없는 새로운 내용이 무의식에서 솟아날 수 있다. 프로이트는 무의식의 세계를 깊이 연구하였는데, 그는 예술은 그 에너지 및 비합리성과 신비로운 힘을 id에서 흡수한다고 보았다. 프로이트는 id야말로 진정한 무의식의 세계이며 id에 의한 무의식적 환상이 의식의 단계를 거치면서 현실화 되는데 이러한 통로를 예술이라 보았다. 초현실주의는 프로이트와 융의 무의식에 대한 연구에 큰 영향을 받아 무의식의 존재와 능력을 인정하고, 미지속에 있던 정신세계의 새로운 국면을 보여주었다. 초현실주의 작가들은 꿈, 공상, 환상 등을 표현하여 인간의 내면적 세계를 이미지로 형상화했고 무의식의 존재와 능력을 인정하였다. 이로써 우리들의 인식과 사고의 범위가 확장되었다. 이러한 내용을 토대로 본 논문에서는 인간 내면속에 잠재해 있는 무의식의 세계를 사진이 가진 시각적 속성중에 초현실적 대표적 표현 방법인 포토몽타주기법을 이용하여 환상적인 이미지로 나타내어 보려고 하였다. 무의식 세계의 표현에 있어 그 내용은 꿈에 나타난 비현실적이고 비합리적인 의식들을 표현하였다. 또한, 이질적인 여러가지 각각의 사진 이미지들을 결부시켜, 새로운 시간과 공간의 관계로 재조립하여, 일상적인 현실세계에서 볼 수 없는 새로운 세계를 독특한 화면으로 표현하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여, 인간내면의 심리세계를 표현하는 방법은 사진을 비롯한 모든 예술에 있어서 주요한 요소이며, 그 표현기법 또한 매우 다양하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 작업이 더욱 발전되어 모든 예술에 있어 환상력과 상상력이 더욱 개발되어, 인간의 인식과 사고의 범위를 더욱 확장시키고 새로운 가능성이 더욱 모색되도록 하여야 할 것이다.;Art is the activity of human sprit, and the expression of inner thought of artists is being included in it. Thought it is impossible to think by classifying the limit of consciouness and unconsciousness perfectly in the human spritual activity, it is being universally known that the unconsciousness of human instinct becomes the important factor for the action of human art creation. Out of human activity, especially, creation activity means to make the human soul into image. And, it can be seen that the unconsciouness is involved in the creation activity like this. Unconsciousness is filled with the newthought or creative idea which is different from the felt past memory. In the same manner that the disappearance of conscious contents became the unconsciouness to the last, the new contents which have never been made into consciouness may spring out from unconsciouness deeply. Then he thought that the art absorbs the energy, irrationality and mystrrious power from id. Freud thought that indeed id is the world of genuine unconsciouness, and that the unconscious fantasy based on id is actualized passing the stage of consciousness. Then he regarded this passage as art. Surrealism recognized the existence and ability of unconsciouness under the big influence of the study on the unconsciouness of Jung, and it showed the new aspect of spritual world which was in the unknown world. The artists of surrealism made the human inner world into image and recognized the existence and ability of unconsciouness by expressing dream, idle fancy and :fantasy etc. By this, the range of our recognition and thought was expanded. In this thesis, on the basis of this contents, this researcher tried to show the unconscious world which is latent in the human inside into the fantastic image by using the photo montage techniq which is the surrealistic representative expression method out of the visual attributes that the photo has. In the expression of unconsciousness world, this researcher expressed the unrealistic and irrational consciounesses of which the contents appeared in the dream. In addition, this researcher tried to express the new world which cannot be seen in the daily actual world with the peculiar canvas by linking various each heterogeneous photo images and ressembling them with the relation of new time and space. Through this study, it could be seen that the method to express the human inner psychological world is the important element in all the artists including photoes, and that the expression techniques are very diverse. More development of this work and more development of fantastic power and imaginative power in all the arts will have to eapand the range of human recognition and thought all the more and will have to grope for the new possibility all the more.
