세익스피어 4대 비극을 주제로 한 시각표현 연구

Abstract

현대 사회에 살면서 인간의 존엄성과 가치가 상실 당하고 인간이 겪는 고통과 타인에 대한 사랑은 의미가 없어져 간다는 것을 느낄 수가 있다. 고통받는 인간의 존엄성과 가치가 상실되고 인간이 당하는 고통의 의미가 부조리 한 것처럼 보이는 오늘날의 상황에서 세익스피어(Shakespeare) 4대 비극을 주제로 한 나의 작품 연구는 인간이 겪는 고통의 의미와 인간의 존엄성의 위대함에 대하여 재고할 수 있는 계기를 마련코자 함이며 피할 수 없는 고통속에서 진리를 깨닫고, 자아성숙을 이루며 우리 삶의 진정한 의미를 찾고자 하는 시도이다. 따라서 본 연구는 표현의 이론적 배경으로 세익스피어 4대 비극인 햄릿(Hamlet), 오델로(Othello), apr베드(Macbeth), 리어왕(King Lear)을 중심으로 선과 악을 대표하는 극단적인 인물들을 제시하여 그들의 비극적인 면에서의 특징과 대조적인 면을 알아보고 의미와 역할, 그리고 여기에 연결될 수 있는 비극적인 이미지를 찾아 그 속에서 선과 악의 이미지와 어둠의 이미지로 분석하여, 선과 악의 주제를 통해 나타난 시각의 대립을 중심으로 살펴보았으며, 비극적 결함을 지닌 주인공이 자신을 억압하는 외부세력과의 갈등과 대립의 과정에서 실존에 대해 던지는 심각한 질문과 이에 따른 고립, 그리고 주인공들의 내면에서 일어나는 선과 악에 대한 비극적인 이미지를 시각화 하는데 새로운 가능성을 모색해 보았다. 작품제작과 분석에 있어서는 세익스피어 비극에서 분석된 선과 악의 이미지와 어둠의 이미지를 선(line)에 의한 상징적인 형태로 이미지화 시키고 그에 따른 색채 사용에 있어서는 작품의 내용이나 성격을 강화시키는 수단으로 제시했다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 세익스피어 4대 비극을 주제로 한 시각표 현 연구를 통하여 비극이 우리에게 제시는 참된 진리를 깨닫고 이해하는데 하나의 방법을 제시하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다.;Being in modem society, we can't help thinking that human's dignity and value is deprived and that his suffering and affection is meanless. In this situation, this study of four tragedys of Shakespeare is a attempt to provide a momentum for reconsideration of human's dignity and value, to seek a truth in unescapable pains, to build self-perfection, and to find core-meaning of a life. Therefore, this study is classify roughly into three categories for theoretical backgrounds of a expression. First, through presenting extreme characters who represent the good and evil I look into their tragic feature and the contrast aspect. And then, analyzing the image of good, evil, and dark in their meaning, role, and relevant tragic-image. I considered them around the antagonism of the visual angle in which the theme of good and evil is immanent. At last, I try to grope for possibility to visualize the serious question to existence in the course of the complication and opposition which brings a pressure upon the protagonist, the isolation due to this question and the tragic image of good and evil in the inner of protagonists. In the production and analysis of works, I described the analyzed image of good, evil, and dark in Shakespeare's tragic dramas to symbolic types with lines. And I make a good use of colors as a means to solidify the content and the characteristic of works. In conclusion, this study proposes the way to understand a truth of which the tragic dramas present through the visual-expression study about the theme of Shakespeare's four tragic dramas.
