한국 전통건축에 나타난 공간의 연속성과 공간디자인에의 적용에 관한 연구

Abstract

근대사회에서 탈 근대로, 산업사회에서 정보사회로, 지역적 민족국가에서 세계주의로 대 전환하면서 인간은 심각한 가치관의 혼란에 빠지게 되었다. 이처럼 문명사적 전환기에 과학, 사상과 예술의 복합체로서 환경디자인은 새로운 과학과 예술사조를 수용하면서 자기다움의 가치와 신념을 가지고 발전하는 개별적 특징성의 주체라고 할 수 있다. 이에 반해, 우리는 서구문화의 물밀듯한 소용돌이 속에서 자체내의 전통성과 정체성을 상실한 채 서구의 유행사조의 표피적 모방에 급급한 형편이다. 세계화 시대에 있어 우리 문화의 자생력을 키우기 위해서는 서구문화에 대한 무분별한 수용 태도를 반성하고 올바른 가치관의 정립에 의한 자기 정체성과 주체성을 확립하여야 할 시점에 이르렀으며 지구 공동체 시대에 있어서 세계문화에 대한 한국의 시대적 대응은 세계주의에 기초한 민족주의를 통하여 그리고 범 세계적 보편성 위에서 문화적 정체성을 창조적으로 지켜나감으로써 가능한 것이다. 이러한 상황속에서 환경의 예술적 전환과 실내 환경디자인의 자기정체성 확립을 위해서는 새로운 시각과 환경디자인 방법론에 있어서 새로운 접근 방법을 필연적으로 요구함을 알 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국 전통 건축에 나타난 공간의 연속성을 다학문적 관점에서 재인식 함으로써 현대와 미래사회에 적합한 자기주체성을 가진 환경디자인 모델을 제시하는데 그 목적을 두고 다음과 같은 방법으로 진행하였다. 1.현대 패러다임의 변환과정을 통해 새로운 세계관의 흐름을 파악하고 한국 전통 건축에서 공간의 연속성이 나타나게 된 사상적 배경 및 특성을 고찰함으로서 한국 전통 건축에 나타난 공간의 연속성이 뉴패러다임으로 해석되어질 수 있음을 밝혔다. 2.연구의 객관적이고 보편적 이론의 배경으로 미학 이론적 측면에서 기호론, 환경심리학 측면에서 게슈탈트 이론, 건축공간의 이론적 측면에서 콘텍스츄얼리즘을 기준으로 하여 한국 전통 건축에 나타난 공간의 연속성이 다학문적 관점에서 새롭게 인식되어짐을 밝혔다. 3. 한국 전통 건축의 공간이 기(起), 승(承), 전(轉), 결(結)의 단계로 구성되어 있음을 알고 앞서 고찰한 객관적이고 보편적인 이론의 배경에 의하여 제시된 방법론을 기승전결(起承轉結)의 과정에 따라 본 연구문제 해결 과정을 위한 준거의 틀을 마련하였다. 4. 디자인 적용 단계에 있어서는 지금까지의 과정에 의하여 제시된 정보를 적극적으로 수용하여 새로운 공간을 창출함으로써 본 연구의 방법론을 검증하였다. 5. 환경미학적 측면, 공간 구조적 측면, 이용자 행태 측면으로 나누어 종합 및 평가를 함으로써 연구의 미비점을 보완하여 평가한다. 이와 같은 연구결과 한국 전통 건축에 나타난 공간의 연속성은 총체적 ,유기체적, 학제적 접근으로 재인식 할 수 있으며 그 우월성을 입증 할 수 있었다. 궁극적으로 본 연구는 혼돈과 유행의 물결이 도래하는 21세계의 삶 속에서 '우리의 것'에 대한 자기정체성을 확립하고 자기다움을 지켜 갈 수 있도록 하는 하나의 방향성을 제시하였음에 그 의의를 둔다.;As the modern society turns into post modem society, industrial society into information society, regional nation state into cosmopolitanism, we all are in serious confusion of valuating viewpoint. In this transition period of civilization, environmental design as a complex of science, ideology, and art is an characteristic subject which accommodates new science and new trend of art and prospers with "self value and belief". As the western culture flow in rapidly, we are ready to copy after the western trend without taking over our own identity and tradition. T o keep the traditional culture vivid and alive in he era of globalization, we must set up our subjectivity and identity by keeping the proper point of view on evaluation. In this global community, korean culture must keep pace with global culture through the nationalism based on the cosmopolitanism and must preserve cultural identity creatively on the foundation of global universality. In this situation, a new approach and new viewpoint in environmental design methodologyare needed for establishing the identity of indoor environmental design and artistic transitionof environment. The primary purpose of this study is to propose a subjective model of environmental design which is fit to both present and future society by recognizing "Spatial sequence in korean traditional architecture". For the stated purpose, this study applies 5 levels as follows. 1. By understanding the trend of new viewpoint through the change of modern paradigm and grasping the academic background and characteristics of "Spatial sequence in korean traditional architecture" , that is regarded as a new paradigm. 2. The objective and general backgrounds of this study are Semiology in aesthetic theory, Gestalt theory in environmental psychology, Contextualism in the theoretical aspect of construction space. Spatial sequence in korean traditional architecture is reviewed in this interdisciplinary viewpoint. 3. Spatial sequence in korean traditional architecture consists of <Beginning, Expanding, Climax, Conclusion> levels. So this study applies the methodology suggested by the previous general and objective background of theory to the <Beginning, Expanding, Climax, Conclusion, process. It's a new paradigm to solve this subject. 4. At the level of design application, the methodology of this study is verified by creating new concept of space by admitting information suggested throughout the past process positively. 5. The weakness of this study will be compensated by evaluating and integrating the aspects of environmental aesthetics, space construction and user behabior. As a conclusion, "Spatial sequence in korean traditional architecture" can be appreciated synthetically, organically, and interdisciplinarilly. The superiority of korean traditional archetecture is to be given proof by them. Finally in the 21st century which confronts this chaos and vortex of trend, this study has a meaning of settling identity on "self value" and serving a direction to keep our cultural personality both successively and successfully.
